Limitless Evolution: I’m The New Dragon God?

Chapter 120: Lightning Manipulation

After a little pause, the junior blood legion continued to search for the Boss.

The forest warped into something unnatural the deeper they traveled. Every tree was cocooned in silk, their branches sagging under the weight of pulsating chrysalises. The ground itself vibrated, a steady rhythm that grew heavier with each step they took.

And then they saw her.

The Chrysalis Queen.

It was towering abomination, her body stretched nearly fifty meters tall, a fusion of armored carapace and translucent crystal wings. Her countless legs dug into the earth, shaking the dungeon as if the whole forest bowed to her existence. Each segment of her monstrous form pulsed with energy, and her compound eyes glowed with the madness of countless elements swirling inside.

[ Dungeon Boss: Chrysalis Queen (Level 35) ]

Elemental Authority: Fire, Ice, Poison, Lightning

Threat Level: Extreme

The sheer pressure radiating from her was suffocating. Her screech split the air, so powerful that the weaker ants around them convulsed and died instantly. Even the ground cracked, bleeding streams of molten fire and creeping frost.

Irina gasped, her face pale. "T-this… this thing… how do we even fight that?"

Rudo clenched his staff tighter, but his. "She's… beyond us.."

Even Felix took a step back. His legs shook shook a little. "It's hopeless…"

"Screeech!

The Queen screeched again, and an Elemental Tempest burst from her massive body. Geysers of flame, pillars of ice, clouds of poison, and jagged bolts of lightning filled the forest at once.

"Buzzzzz!"

Entire trees disintegrated, crumbling to ash or shattering into icicles. The ground boiled and froze in patches, creating a battlefield straight out of nightmare.

But then, one figure moved.

Ryuzen.

He stepped forward boldly, his snow white fluttering behind him.

His golden-slit eyes burned like twin suns as he planted his foot into the earth. The violent aura pressing down on them cracked against his presence.

"Stay behind me," he said firmly, his voice cutting through their despair. "I'll hold her off."

The others stared at him—Venus biting her lip, Irina trembling, Felix and Rudos stunned. But his unshakable stance, facing the impossible without hesitation, breathed courage back into them.

Chi...

The Queen shrieked in fury, focusing her elemental storm entirely on the human boy before her.

Ryuzen roared back.

"Eclipse Cataclysmic Roar!"

A beam of annihilating energy exploded from his mouth, colliding with the hurricane of elements.

"BOOOM!"

The clash shook the dungeon like an earthquake, the shockwave blasting trees into splinters. For the first time, the Queen recoiled, her carapace sparking with cracks of frost and flame.

Ryuzen blurred forward with Mist Phantom Steps, weaving between lightning arcs and pillars of fire. His claws extended, wreathed in solar flame and icy mist.

Crimson Apex Frenzy!

He tore into her armored hide, his strikes hammering like meteors. Shards of crystal and chunks of chitin flew as the Queen screamed in agony.

"Now!" Venus yelled, her fists igniting as she dashed to his side, landing crushing blows on the Queen's legs.

Irina followed, arrows of frost bursting from her bow, piercing into cracks Ryuzen had created.

Rudos gritted his teeth and leapt forward, his staff glowed as he activated all boost skills.

"Stamina Boost."

"Health Regeneration Boost."

"Strength Buff."

"Reverse Healing."

Felix didn't stay idle either. His lips curled in determination, unleashing Condensed Blood Swords from above.

Clang, Cang, Clang!

Each hit sent sparks flying through the air. They were definitely doing some damage.

Together, the team surged behind Ryuzen's lead, fighting through fear to meet the impossible.

But the Queen was relentless. Her carapace flared with lightning and poison, her massive form rearing up to unleash a devastating elemental eruption that threatened to erase everything.

Ryuzen's scales blazed with frostfire. His eyes narrowed, his body surging with overwhelming power.

"Solar Cryo Lance!"

A colossal spear of burning frost shot forward, piercing the Queen's core. Her elemental storm shattered into sparks and ash. Her screech, deafening and endless, echoed through the dungeon before her massive body collapsed into the earth with a thunderous quake.

Silence fell.

The team stood stunned, their bodies trembling, not just from exhaustion but from the realization—what was impossible, they had done.

And at the center, Ryuzen stood tall, his chest rising and falling heavily, golden eyes gleaming with the fire of victory.

The battlefield was still steaming, the smell of burnt silk and ozone hanging thick in the air. The Chrysalis Queen's massive corpse disappeared the ruined forest, her elemental glow slowly fading away.

The party gathered close, weary but alive.

Venus dropped heavily onto a broken root, wiping the sweat from her brow. "Hah… I can't believe… we actually did it." Her tone carried disbelief, but her lips curved into the faintest smile.

Irina flopped down beside her, clutching her bow against her chest. "I thought we were dead the moment she screamed. My legs wouldn't even move." Her voice wavered, but her eyes were shining now, not with fear—but pride.

Felix sat cross-legged, catching his breath. "Yeah… but then that crazy salamander stepped forward." He looked at Ryuzen and smirked, though his words were genuine. "You're insane, you know that?"

Rudos, leaning heavily on his staff, gave a tired chuckle. "You're Insane… but dependable. The way you faced her head-on… you pulled all of us back from the edge of panic."

Ryuzen exhaled, still standing tall though his body ached. His golden eyes softened as he looked around at them. "I didn't do it alone. If you hadn't joined me, I would've been crushed under her power." He shook his head. "This victory… belongs to all of us."

Venus nodded, reaching into the loot pile that shimmered faintly in the aftermath of the Queen's death. She lifted the glowing crystal pulsing with raw elemental energy.

[ Chrysalis Queen's Core (Rare, D-Rank) ]

Its multicolored light reflected on their tired faces.

"This," Venus said firmly, "belongs in the team's arsenal. We'll keep it and sell it later."

"Agreed," Irina said quickly. "It would be unfair if any one of us hogged it alone."

Felix pointed to the other glowing fragment on the ground—a purple book sparking faint arcs of lightning.

[ Battle Skill: Lightning Manipulation (D) ]

He picked it up and tossed it toward Ryuzen. "But this? There's no question."

Ryuzen caught it, blinking. "You're giving this to me?"

"Of course we are," Felix said, his smirk widening. "You carried us through that nightmare. If not for you, we'd be fertilizer under her roots right now."

Irina smiled softly, brushing her hair back. "You're our leader, Ryuzen. Strongest of us, and… the one we can always trust to move forward when we're frozen in fear."

Rudos tapped his staff against the ground in agreement. "You've already mastered the impossible. With this, your strength will be an even greater shield for all of us."

Venus's eyes lingered on him, filled with warmth. "Take it. No arguments. You earned it."

For a moment, silence hung between them.

"Thank you," he said quietly, his voice low but steady. "I swear, I'll use this power to protect all of you."

The party smiled, exhaustion giving way to relief. For the first time since entering this hellish dungeon, they felt something other than fear—hope.

The Junior Blood Legion had survived the impossible, and now, they stood stronger than ever
