“Home?”

When I asked in a small voice, Ha Jun-seo looked at me as if wondering why I was asking something so obvious.

“…Do I have a home?”

For Kim Min-seok, who had lived in a cramped gosiwon ever since leaving the orphanage, the word home was a sweet yet extravagant concept. Without realizing it, he asked with a face tinged with anticipation. Ha Jun-seo chuckled softly.

“Of course, you have a home. Where else would you live if you didn’t?”

“Then… do I live with my family?”

“…No. Ha-yoon lives alone.”

Ha Jun-seo answered half a beat late.

“What kind of home is it? A gosiwon? A one-room? A two-room? A boarding house? Or… could it possibly be an officetel or an apartment?”

Wearing a hospital gown, the only two people who could tell me anything about this body’s identity were the two men in front of me. I had no idea about this body’s financial situation. If I was only staying temporarily, I hoped at least that I was rich.

As I kept pressing with questions, Ha Jun-seo reached out and gently ruffled Kim Min-seok’s hair. Then, with a strangely wistful smile, he murmured,

“It’s been so long since I’ve seen you act this cute, our Ha-yoon.”

The way he said our Ha-yoon was filled with warmth and affection. It made me think that this body and Ha Jun-seo must have been really close. Otherwise, there was no way he would speak with such tenderness in his voice and gaze.

“Stop wasting time and just get dressed so you can be discharged.”

Choi Sang-hyuk, who had been watching with a slight furrow in his brow, pulled some clothes out of the locker and tossed them onto the bed. It was just a simple pair of jeans and a shirt. Since Kim Min-seok wanted to leave the hospital just as much, he obediently picked up the shirt.

But as he started to take off his hospital gown, he hesitated. Changing in front of another man wasn’t a big deal—but weren’t these guys gay? Not only that, but they were also this body’s lovers. It didn’t seem like the right situation to be stripping so casually in front of them.

‘…No, actually, thinking about it too much is even weirder.’

Kim Min-seok quickly shook off his hesitation and confidently shrugged off his top.

***

One of the things he had worried about when getting discharged was the hospital bill, but it turned out to be a pointless concern. The two men handled the paperwork on their own, and it seemed like they had already taken care of the payment as well.

Kim Min-seok had planned to slip away at some point to check if a person named Kim Min-seok had been admitted to this hospital, but that was impossible. If Choi Sang-hyuk wasn’t around, Ha Jun-seo was, and if Ha Jun-seo wasn’t there, then Choi Sang-hyuk was right by his side. He had no chance to be alone.

For now, he made sure to memorize the hospital’s name. Later, he could call and ask if a Kim Min-seok had been brought in.

As they stepped into the parking lot, instead of relief, the first thing that came to mind was What do I do now? He glanced up at the sky, wondering if this was really reality. The bright, cloudless sky was dazzling. Sunlight poured down, making him squint.

Yeah. This was real.

The entire walk to the car, the two men stayed glued to his sides. Choi Sang-hyuk, wearing his usual cold expression, walked half a step ahead, while Ha Jun-seo stuck right next to him, wrapping a gentle arm around his shoulder as if supporting him with each step.

It was nice that he was being considerate, but did he really have to treat him like some kid?

This overly protective attitude was nothing but suffocating. At this moment, Choi Sang-hyuk’s indifferent demeanor was actually more comfortable.

But then, a problem arose when they stopped in the middle of the parking lot.

Choi Sang-hyuk suddenly halted and tilted his head to the side, motioning toward a massive black Benz parked to the right. At almost the same time, Ha Jun-seo gently led Kim Min-seok toward a sleek white Porsche parked to the left.

“Get in.”

“Hop in.”

They spoke almost simultaneously.

Kim Min-seok stood frozen, glancing between the two men and their ridiculously expensive foreign cars.

Of course, it was only natural that these two, who were complete opposites in personality, would also drive completely different cars. The black Benz perfectly matched Choi Sang-hyuk’s cold, imposing aura, while the white Porsche suited Ha Jun-seo’s refined elegance.

But the most pressing issue here was that both cars were so expensive that they made a broke guy like Kim Min-seok feel unworthy of even setting his ass down in them.

“Wow, fuck…”

He muttered unconsciously, his gaze flickering greedily between the two luxury cars. No wonder these two had an overwhelming presence—turns out, they were insanely rich.

If these were the kind of people Seo Ha-yoon was dating, didn’t that mean he was also rich? The thought filled him with wild anticipation.

He wanted to admire both cars. He wanted to sit in both cars.

But before he could even decide which one to choose, Choi Sang-hyuk suddenly grabbed his wrist with a firm, unyielding grip and yanked him toward the Benz. Just like every interaction since they first met at the hospital, his touch was rough and assertive, completely unapologetic.

His strength was no joke—Kim Min-seok’s body swayed as he was forcefully pulled forward.

But before he could be completely dragged away, Ha Jun-seo quickly countered by wrapping his arm around Kim Min-seok’s shoulder and pulling him back protectively.

Choi Sang-hyuk shot Ha Jun-seo a murderous glare, his expression dark and dangerous. Even though the glare wasn’t directed at him, Kim Min-seok felt the suffocating pressure of it.

Yet, despite the intense stare, Ha Jun-seo remained unfazed, smiling faintly as if nothing was wrong.

“Which car do you want to ride in, Ha-yoon?”

Ha Jun-seo asked gently, his tone making it clear that he would respect whatever choice Kim Min-seok made.

Kim Min-seok hesitated, glancing between the two men holding onto him—one gripping his wrist, the other securing his shoulder. After a brief moment of contemplation, he finally spoke in a small voice.

“…I think Ha Jun-seo’s car would be more comfortable.”

Choi Sang-hyuk’s pitch-black eyes locked onto him. His lips remained tightly pressed together, but the sheer weight of his gaze was enough to make Kim Min-seok’s shoulders shrink.

If just being stared at like this was enough to drain his energy, he could only imagine how unbearably awkward and tense it would be if he had to sit in the same car with him. This was the right choice.

“You must be cold. Hurry and get in.”

As if expecting this outcome, Ha Jun-seo smiled softly and led Kim Min-seok to his car. He opened the door, carefully helped him into the passenger seat, and then gently closed the door after him.

While Ha Jun-seo walked around the hood to get to the driver’s side, Choi Sang-hyuk remained standing in place, staring through the window at Kim Min-seok with an unreadable expression.

It was only a few seconds, but the heavy atmosphere made it feel much longer. Feeling unbearably uncomfortable, Kim Min-seok averted his gaze, pretending to admire the car’s interior instead.

Once Ha Jun-seo got into the driver’s seat, he reached over and personally fastened Kim Min-seok’s seatbelt. Every one of his actions was incredibly thoughtful—so much so that it truly felt like he was taking care of his lover.

Kim Min-seok wasn’t used to receiving this kind of excessive kindness, making the whole situation feel awkward.

“If you start feeling carsick or if your head hurts at any point, let me know right away.”

Ha Jun-seo cast a concerned glance at Kim Min-seok’s head as he spoke.

Kim Min-seok simply nodded, and only then did Ha Jun-seo start the car.

Looking ahead, he realized that in the short span of time they had been sitting there, Choi Sang-hyuk had already disappeared.

Glancing across the parking lot, he could faintly make out the figure of Choi Sang-hyuk inside his car. The dark tint of the windows made it impossible to see his expression—fitting for someone who looked like a mob boss.

As they exited the hospital’s main entrance, Kim Min-seok instinctively looked back at the hospital building through the rearview mirror.

After all, he had been brought here unconscious, and now, he was leaving in someone else’s body.

No matter how many times he thought about it, he just couldn’t wrap his head around the situation.

Letting out a low sigh, Kim Min-seok shifted in his seat, feeling something pressing against him. He reached behind and pulled something out of his back pocket—a black leather wallet.

It was a luxury brand. The kind he had never owned before. Hell, he had never even dreamed of owning something like this.

Opening the wallet, the first thing that caught his eye was an ID card—his driver’s license.

He pulled it out and examined the photo closely.

The same face he had seen in the mirror stared back at him.

Flawless, pale skin. A distinctive beauty mark under the eye. Lips that looked naturally tinted red, as if something had been applied to them. And those piercing eyes, gazing straight ahead. No matter how he looked at it, the man in the photo was ridiculously handsome—practically on par with a celebrity.

Handsome? It felt weird to describe a guy that way, but for Seo Ha-yoon, the word beautiful definitely fit.

“They say all the good-looking men are either married or gay.”

Kim Min-seok shot a glance at Ha Jun-seo in the driver’s seat, then back at the license photo, grumbling internally.

His eyes drifted to the name printed on the ID: Seo Ha-yoon.

Another sigh escaped him. But the moment he looked at the birthdate next to it, he froze.

22 years old. February 11th.

The same birthdate as his own.

Kim Min-seok frowned. Their names and appearances were completely different, yet they shared the exact same birthdate. Could this have something to do with why their bodies had switched?

“Are you feeling okay?”

Ha Jun-seo turned slightly toward him as he spoke. Whether he always drove like this or was just being extra careful for Kim Min-seok’s sake, his driving was incredibly smooth and steady.

“I’m fine.”

Giving a short reply, Kim Min-seok slipped the license back into the wallet.

He then pulled out the other cards inside, inspecting them one by one—until something made him stop again.

One of the cards clearly had Seo Ha-yoon’s name in English.

But the other two had different names.

Kim Min-seok stared at the embossed letters, subconsciously reading them aloud under his breath.

Ha Jun-seo. And Choi Sang-hyuk.

Among the three cards, two belonged to Ha Jun-seo and Choi Sang-hyuk.

Kim Min-seok fiddled with the cards for a moment before slipping them back into the wallet.

He had never been in a serious relationship before, so he wasn’t sure… but was it really normal for lovers to share their credit cards like this?

No… is that actually a common thing?

He sneaked a glance at Ha Jun-seo’s side profile as he focused on driving.

Would it be okay to ask something like this right off the bat with someone he had just met?

He couldn’t tell.
