Light Mr. XX

“Ugh…!”

A devouring kiss crashed down on him. Teeth bit into his lips as if tearing at his flesh, and a hot tongue ravaged his mouth with rough, violent movements. He tried to pull away, but a brutal hand gripping his jaw kept him locked in place—he couldn’t escape the kiss, nor could he even close his mouth.

“Mmnh…! Mph!”

It was just a kiss—rough, forceful, but still just a kiss. And yet, it felt as if he were being violated. A wave of humiliation surged through him, making him feel like a prostitute selling his body for money. His eyes burned as if scorched by fire, and despite his best efforts, he couldn’t hold back his tears. In the end, they spilled over, streaming down his cheeks.

The tears trickled down his face, dampening the hand that gripped his chin. At that, Choi Sang-hyuk, who had been devouring him with his rough kisses, flinched and pulled away. His dark, heavy gaze locked onto Kim Min-seok’s tear-streaked face. His brows knitted slightly.

“You…”

The moment Choi Sang-hyuk parted his lips to speak, Kim Min-seok’s hand shot out.

Slap!

The sharp crack of a slap rang through the living room.

“You fucking bastard.”

Kim Min-seok wiped his wet eyes roughly with the back of his hand, cursing through clenched teeth. Choi Sang-hyuk ran his tongue over the inside of his cheek before scoffing in disbelief. Sparks of anger flickered in his eyes as he stared at Kim Min-seok. There was a threatening aura about him, the kind that suggested a single punch from him could send someone straight to their grave.

But Kim Min-seok didn’t back down. He shot to his feet and jabbed his finger against Choi Sang-hyuk’s chest.

“What? Getting slapped got your fucking ego bruised? Then go ahead, hit me! Come on, do it! Beat the shit out of me, and let’s see how much you’ll have to pay me in damages!”

As if daring him, Kim Min-seok leaned in, practically shoving his face forward. Choi Sang-hyuk’s jaw clenched, the muscles twitching in restraint.

“Don’t push your luck, Seo Ha-yoon.”

Instead of throwing a punch, Choi Sang-hyuk delivered a quiet warning. At that moment, Ha Jun-seo, who had been watching silently until now, stepped in. He grabbed Kim Min-seok’s shoulders and pushed him back down onto the sofa, trying to de-escalate the situation.

“Calm down, Ha-yoon. If you really get hit and end up with a scar on that pretty face, what then?”

“Not like it’s your face. Why do you care if it gets scarred or not?”

“Alright, alright, just take it easy…”

Ha Jun-seo patted Kim Min-seok’s back gently, trying to soothe him.

“Ha…!”

Choi Sang-hyuk let out a dry laugh, running a rough hand through his hair. His expression showed that he was barely keeping his temper in check. Seeing that, Kim Min-seok felt a strange sense of certainty—Choi Sang-hyuk might have a nasty temper, but he wouldn’t actually hit Seo Ha-yoon.

Forcing kisses and even rape? Maybe.

Choi Sang-hyuk turned and walked to the kitchen, yanking open the fridge. He grabbed a bottle of water and took a deep swig. Meanwhile, Kim Min-seok wiped away the last of his tears and steadied himself. Ha Jun-seo was still patting his back reassuringly.

Neither Ha Jun-seo, who was trying to soothe him, nor Choi Sang-hyuk, who was foul-mouthed and short-tempered, could be considered a safe zone. No matter what, he had to shake them off and find a way back to his real body.

“Jun-seo, you don’t believe me either?”

Kim Min-seok directed his question at Ha Jun-seo, who, despite being a psycho pervert, always maintained a gentle and friendly facade. Ha Jun-seo stared at him with his usual amused gaze before shrugging.

“Who knows? It’d be a problem if it’s true, and it’d be a problem if it’s not. Either way, it’s hard to say.”

“I don’t care if you two don’t believe me. The fact remains—I’m not Seo Ha-yoon. So stop trying to force me into his role. I don’t have the slightest intention of pretending to be Seo Ha-yoon.”

With that, Kim Min-seok stood up. Without hesitation, he strode toward the front door. But before he could leave, Ha Jun-seo grabbed his wrist.

“Where do you think you’re going?”

“Home.”

“This is your home.”

“Yes, this is Seo Ha-yoon’s home. But I’m Kim Min-seok, so I’m going to my home.”

Still holding onto his wrist, Ha Jun-seo turned his gaze to Choi Sang-hyuk. The two of them exchanged silent glances. It was clear that whether it was Ha Jun-seo or Choi Sang-hyuk, he wouldn’t be able to overpower them physically. Kim Min-seok pulled his wrist free and spoke in a near-pleading tone.

“Just let me go. It’s not like I even have Ha-yoon’s memories. The two of you are good-looking and loaded—you shouldn’t have any trouble finding someone else. Do you really need a Seo Ha-yoon who isn’t even in his right mind?”

“I told you. I love you.”

Ha Jun-seo’s words came without hesitation. He might be a psycho pervert, but for once, he actually sounded sincere.

“The Seo Ha-yoon you love isn’t here. If you really love him, shouldn’t you be looking for the real one?”

“Why should I? He’s standing right in front of me. I only believe what I can see with my own eyes. And right now, my eyes see you, Ha-yoon.”

Despite what he’d said earlier, Ha Jun-seo’s tone made it clear—he had already convinced himself that the person inside this body was Seo Ha-yoon.

Right. There was no way they’d believe something so ridiculous.

Kim Min-seok let out a quiet sigh.

“Forget it. I never expected you to believe me in the first place. Either way, I’m Kim Min-seok, and I need to go home. So move.”

“You can’t.”

“No.”

Both Ha Jun-seo and Choi Sang-hyuk spoke at the same time.

Choi Sang-hyuk crushed the empty water bottle in his hand before striding toward him. Kim Min-seok stared silently at the two men standing side by side. Their eyes were unyielding—cold and unshakable, as if nothing could cut through them.

A sudden wave of exhaustion crashed over him.

He had been through too much today. He had drained himself emotionally. More than anything, he just wanted to collapse into bed, bury himself under a blanket, and rest.

These two wouldn’t let him leave. That much was clear. They weren’t people who would let go easily.

A compromise was necessary.

“…Fine. I’ll stay here. But I have one condition.”

“Condition?”

Choi Sang-hyuk muttered, his expression dark with irritation.

“Let’s hear it first.”

Ha Jun-seo spoke in a gentle voice.

“I won’t leave this house for now. But in return, you two need to leave. According to what you said, this house belongs to me, right?”

“This house…”

Choi Sang-hyuk raised an eyebrow, opening his mouth to speak. It was obvious what he was about to say. Kim Min-seok quickly cut him off.

“Yeah, yeah, I know. This house was bought by you for Seo Ha-yoon, so you probably think you have every right to come and go as you please. And of course, if you don’t want to leave, you don’t have to. In that case, I’ll just leave instead. So pick one—either I go, or you do.”

“You’re pushing it.”

Choi Sang-hyuk muttered, though he didn’t sound as pissed off as expected. Meanwhile, Ha Jun-seo let out a small chuckle, as if he found something amusing about the whole thing.

“Since both of you claim to be Seo Ha-yoon’s lovers and refuse to let go of him, I won’t stop you from visiting. But for tonight, please go. I need some quiet time alone to rest.”

Kim Min-seok’s voice was firm as he added, “And just so we’re clear—if either of you tries to force another kiss or pull any shit like earlier, I won’t be treating you as guests anymore.”

The moment he said that, Ha Jun-seo let out a knowing smile, as if recalling what he had done earlier. It made him look even more infuriating.

Choi Sang-hyuk and Ha Jun-seo exchanged a glance. Ha Jun-seo was the first to nod.

“Alright. It’s your first day out of the hospital, and you don’t have all your memories, so I’m sure you’re confused and exhausted. Get some proper rest tonight. We’ll come back tomorrow.”

The second Ha Jun-seo finished speaking, Kim Min-seok turned to Choi Sang-hyuk. His expression was stiff, clearly displeased. He stared at Kim Min-seok for a long moment before reluctantly opening his mouth.

“Fine. We’ll leave for tonight.”

His tone was that of someone granting a huge favor. It was irritating as hell, but what mattered was that he was actually leaving. Suppressing the relief bubbling up inside him, Kim Min-seok kept his expression calm and gave a small nod.

“Then, have a good night.”

Without hesitation, he walked over to the front door and opened it for them himself.

Choi Sang-hyuk shot him a look of disdain, while Ha Jun-seo smiled faintly before putting on his shoes and stepping outside. Kim Min-seok gave a halfhearted wave, barely moving his hand, and quickly shut the door behind them.

Leaning his back and head against the closed door, he let out a deep sigh of relief.

He had actually gotten them to leave.

His legs nearly gave out from the sheer weight of it all. Still leaning against the door, Kim Min-seok stared at the keypad lock.

As soon as he was sure they were completely gone, he planned to change the passcode.

He waited, staying in that position for a while. Then, when he felt it was safe, he carefully cracked the door open and peeked outside.

The two of them were nowhere in sight.

“Perfect.”

Kim Min-seok silently opened the cover of the keypad lock, his movements tense and deliberate. Following the instructions, he quickly changed the passcode. Now, those two wouldn’t be able to step foot inside without his consent.

With his mission accomplished, he headed straight to the kitchen. Pulling a bottle of water from the fridge, he chugged it down in one go. Then, after setting the empty bottle on the sink, he made his way to the master bedroom and threw himself onto the bed.

Not long ago, he had suffered a humiliating experience on this very mattress, but he didn’t care.

Right now, all he needed was sweet, uninterrupted rest.

Pulling the blanket up to his chin, he wriggled around until he found the perfect position. The luxurious mattress and bedding were worth every penny—his entire body felt as if it were sinking into a pile of feathers. The moment he closed his eyes, his mind began to drift into sleep.

Just as he was slipping into unconsciousness, a thought crossed his mind.

What if, when he woke up, he was back in his real body?

Or what if, after a deep sleep, he opened his eyes to find himself in his cramped goshiwon room again?

There was only one way to find out. He would have to wait until morning.
