His teasing words fuming the goddess whose fury cracked the walls, and blasted the furniture to ashes and dust.

"I told you not to call me that." Cassandra spoke, her aura growing higher and higher, until the light reached Rio and started pressing him to the ground.

Crushing his body with such pressure and presence that nulled all magic and mind_ and simply burned the mortal flesh.

But Rio stared at his tearing skin and didn't even flinch, "It hurts when someone puts salt on your wounds, doesn't it?"

"Now you know." He replied, chanting Nyx's name in his heart, as the mark of moon flashed over his wrist and shrouded the church in darkness.
