Chapter 11 — The Gacha And Loot Box System
Misho couldn't help but smile.
"Do you want to open it?" Aphrodite asked.
"Yes," Misho replied in his thoughts.

[AN: I will use a real number generator for this. This means I won't control what Tiers he gets. This should make it more fun for you and me. :D]
"Wow! What are these tiers?" Misho asked in surprise.
"In the world of Aphrodos, there are five tiers of cultivation. Right now, you are a Tier 1 Essence Lake cultivator," Aphrodite replied.
"I see. It's also nice that Gacha Pull has drop rates for other tiers."
"The developers are required by law to present such data."
"AND I also get 100 Gold??"
"Every player is given that gift. Please use it wisely."
"Really? Well…"
Misho thought hard.
If he got the loot box, he would be able to save 25 Gold, but he would not get a chance to get an item from the other tiers. By logic, he should choose the Gacha Pull because of a chance to get items from other tiers.
The problem was that this wasn't based on logic. This was based on chance, or in other words, probability. If he pulled Gacha 100 times, he would get 98 Tier 1 items. And he would have spent 33% more compared to getting 98 loot boxes. There wasn't even a guarantee that he would get a Tier 5 item.
Misho was never a gambler, but for the sake of it, he decided to choose the Gacha Pull. It was free money anyway. He won't lose anything.
He focused his mind on the Gacha Pull and bought it.

Opening Tier 1 Gacha Pull!
–––––––––––
Misho opened his eyes and stared at the animation intently.
A myriad of rainbow colors gathered in front of him and formed a blinding outline of an object. Slowly, the light faded away.
"Congratulations, QuarterPounder! You got a Tier 1 Magic Flower!"
A five-petal light-blue flower planted on a vase appeared in front of Misho. It glittered with blue dust floating around it.
"What?"
Misho stared at it in disappointment.
Suddenly, he saw small motes of rainbow light gather from the corner of his eyes. He couldn't help but look to his left.
He saw a blinding object appear in front of Maia. The light faded away, and a red scroll appeared in front of her.
"Ohhhh!"
Maia picked up the scroll with great interest.
"What did you get, Maia?" Misho asked.
"I got a Tier 1 Fire Spell Art!" Maia replied with a smile on her face.
She noticed the flower in front of him, and her eyes sparkled.
"Is that yours, Misho!?" Maia asked excitedly.
"Why? Do you want it?"
"Really? But I will feel bad to take it from you…" Maia said with a frown on her face.
She looked back and forth at the scroll in her hand and at the flower. A few seconds later, her eyes brightened as she thought of something.
"I know! Why don't we trade?" Maia asked and smiled at him widely.
"That Spell Art is useless for me. I'm a Wind Element Cultivator."
He was jealous that she got a spell art, but it was still useless for him. Even if she wanted to trade, it would just be the same. He would still get a useless item.
"Ah… Really?"
The smile on Maia's face turned into a frown.
"Yes."
Misho nodded his head.
"Anyways, I will try to cultivate," Misho said and closed his eyes once more.
He was disappointed at the flower he got, but there should be some use to it. He was not willing to accept that he got a useless item for 100 Gold. Right, he denied his horrible luck.
Misho tried to sense the wind elements around him. He sensed green dust floating around him. He sucked in a breath of air, and those green dust entered inside his lungs. They got absorbed into his blood before arriving in his dantian.
The dantian was a place where the energy in the body gathered, and it was like a small world. It was located at a human's lower abdomen. Currently, there was a small puddle of green water in it.
"This is an Essence Lake?" Misho wondered to himself.
From his perspective, it was very small. It didn't seem like a lake at all.
"Focus on your dantian, and you will enter inside it," Aphrodite suddenly said.
Misho did as she said. He relaxed and focused his mind in his dantian, similar to how he focused on the store earlier to buy the Tier 1 Gacha Pull.
He felt himself get sucked in, and he found himself standing above a dark world. There was no light except for a huge green lake under him. It was at least 1 kilometer(9-10 football fields) in diameter.
It glowed and sparkled like something out of a fantasy movie.
"This looks cool…" Misho muttered.
Misho felt the wind on his right side, and he turned his head. He saw Aphrodite appear beside him.
"It looks beautiful," Aphrodite said and smiled as she gazed at it.
Misho clutched at his chest. Her smile was alluring, and her beauty enchanted him at this moment. Not to mention, her sweet voice was relaxing.
"You're doing a good job, QuarterPounder. You only need to turn this into a sea," Aphrodite said and stepped down onto the surface of the lake.
Her white satin clothing swayed as she walked towards the center. Misho couldn't get his eyes off of her.
"Sea!?" Misho got out of his daze and exclaimed in shock.
He wasn't uneducated to not know the enormous difference between a sea and a lake. They were two incomparable bodies of water.
"Yes. After that, you can advance to the next tier," Aphrodite said and turned around to face him.
"Do I get a reward if I get to the next tier?" Misho asked.
"Well… How about we h-hold hands?" Aphrodite said as she swayed her body in embarrassment. Her cheeks were flushed red, and she looked down while fiddling with her fingers.
