Leviathan Hunter

Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Two elements can cause havoc

"...Samira!" Sarah shouted jumping onto the sky-division's fleet.

"...Huh? Auntie what are you doing here?" She asked curious and confused. Sarah was an admiral so having her leave her ship under the current situation made it strange.

Fehler arrived landing swiftly beside Sarah with his weapon ready, a pair of short swords.

"...Solan is currently fighting against the Silver back.. before falling back to the sea he came up with an idea, though I wonder if your capable of it".

Benedict approached in curiosity, the sky members watching in confusion at their arrival.

"...I'll start with the obvious, the mist around us wont allow us to fight against the Leviathan, the canons are rendered too dangerous to fire in case we hit your ship..". Benedict listened understandingly before curiously asking

"...You mentioned something about a Idea... Lets hear it".

Sarah was sweating a bit, it felt like she was going to be seen as stupid just by explaining the idea but it didn't matter Solan was at the risk of dying in the water fighting and she spoke professionally composing herself.

"You have to freeze the entire area..". She spoke stoically and seriously.

Looking at Sarah they realized she was being dead seriously, like she was taking a no arguments. Benedict was familiar with Sarah. She was an expert and if there really was an Idea it would be a big chance that it could work... hopefully was his thought.

"F-Freeze the area?" Samira was baffled, she understood the words but couldn't comprehend the context.

"...Mist are made of small water droplets that you can barely see, its when cooled water is hit with warm moisture. At contact it will create a watery smoke, in other words mist-".

"A-Alright, E-Enough... I get it...".

Benedict was a fighter, he wasn't the academic type nor the knowledgeable if it was outside combat or anything at related to physical violence. Hearing such details would just make his head explode by the confusing words.

"...So.. What your trying to say is you want Samira... to freeze the entire place? That will affect our ships to a certain limit..". Benedict replied.

"..It will be fine, The sky and Lighting ships are made with the same reinforcements, the metal can tolerate anything... Though, you must evacuate your crew beneath deck to evade any injuries or casualties... When I said freezing the entire place... I mean everything".

Benedict raised his eyes in surprise, it sure was a ridiculous idea. He wasn't even sure if Samira's vessel was capable of such a ranged attack, It could exhaust her mental mind for a good while if she could manage it.

Samira stood there, a bit nervous and frustrated. She knew she was aware of her strength, after all her vessel was regarded as a treasure of Endeia. Being able to control and create glaciers from the northern region it came with pride, but she had to admit it... She wasn't sure if she could pull it off.

"Also Samira...". Sarah spoke, snapping Samira out of her burdened mind.

"...Solan wants to lend you this". Sarah said showing the jade dagger.

"...Isn't that Solan's dagger?" Samira asked.

"...Yes, use this if you don't think your capable... Its imbued with Solan's vessel, getting the blade to contact with your blood your vessel will go over your current limit... It might sound crazy but Solan's vessel has the ability to strengthen even weapons... I've tried it before... One time it made me summon thunder from the skies... So trust me...".

Samira had no choice to obey if that was needed she would do it. Taking the dagger in hand immediately she listened in.

Shortly after the members of the sky went under deck for protection. Sarah,Fehler and Benedict went down too. The plan was having Samira freeze the mist/fog around them completely and shatter it into ice pieces making the annoying obstacle go away. It was an absurd idea but everyone was believing in Samira since they had turned to her.

She stood at the very bow of the fleet. Holding her sword upward in a elegant stance, she took the jade dagger before cutting her sleeve, blood sliding out of the cut slowly. The wound started shining in Solan's signature color eerily regenerating her wound to her shock.

"...Solan~"

She heard distorted voices in her head. She almost fell out of the bow due to the sudden surprise and painfully headache, closing her eyes as she held over both her ears but it didn't budge at all.

"A-Ahh! W-What the!"

Opening her eyes she found herself in another place. No, she wasn't even sure if it was a place, there was an empty void of nothing around her. She believed that she was in another realm like those in the fairy tales... all she could knew, was that she wasn't in Endeia.

"...Hello?" Her voice echoed through the void. She looked around a bit and before turning back to her front she saw a miniature light outlining someone standing in the middle of the void.

"...Solan, You've done a great job...". A unfamiliar voice spoke.

She approached the figure closer only to realize it was a man standing looking down Infront of him. Black hair, slight dark skin tone... and green eyes with a subtle beard.

"...Solan" She thought to herself.

"...He seems... Older. Where am I? What is this...".

She stared at Solan's frame, he stood tall with a wide muscular build beneath the familiar sight of an admiral attire. His expression was stoically, looking into his eyes she noticed the emotionless state he was in. There was not an ounce of sparkle nor life... He was... Dead?

"....".

Samira stood there silently before the unfamiliar voice spoke up again

"...Solan, You've finally achieved your dream haven't you? why do you look so lifeless...".

"...What have I gained... I've lost everything I tried to protect... This curse, Why.... Why did you chose me...": It was no doubt Solan's voice, it was more mature with a rougher edge to yet it felt soft was Samira's thought. But, he wasn't moving his mouth... It was telepathic coming from his mind.

Samira tried to touch Solan before the unfamiliar voice spoke

"...BECAUSE YOU'VE OBEYED US-".

before she knew it she snapped out of it, finding herself back Infront of the bow of the ship.

"W-What just happened?" It felt like she had woken up from a dream, she couldn't remember what just had happened. It felt like she'd seen something but forgot it immediately remembering the current situation.

"Alright... I just need to freeze everything in the air? Sounds easy...". She smiled nervously yet excited to try.

Holding her sword braced against her chest, pointing towards the sky she closed her eyes. A chilling aura surrounding her in a dark blue scheme. Her breath was visible through the cold air forming around her.

"...Remember what father taught you..." She calmly breathed, inhaling oxygen from her nose and exhaling out of her mouth. She held her sword tightly before imagining a blue string Infront of her in an empty darkness. Cutting the imaginary thread in two her eyes shined in a azure color like the beautiful blue skies.

"...Glacier shock!"

In just an instant the entire area froze in place everything within sight and reach.

***

"..W-Woah! What just happened!"

Beneath the deck of the sky division they watched the hatchet being covered in a ice. Sarah and Benedict watched in shock. It was freezing, their breaths visible due to the chilling cold in the air.

"...Did she do it?" Fehler asked curious,

"Most likely yes...". Sarah replied with a proud smile.

***

Samira stood in the same stance, only a cocoon of ice surrounding her for space and breathing. Twisting her blade the ice shattered and when she'd opened her eyes... she could see... everything. The ice she created had taken the mist with it and shattered into ice pieces into the water before her. It was as clear as day, the sun peaking through the tall circular mountain space they were in.

"...I did it!"

Looking around she could see the end of the corridor, the towering mountain walls surrounding them. It was clear as day, legit. Sarah and Benedict approached from beneath deck and watched in awe seeing that she had managed to remove the fog entirely.

"..Woah, I-Its way clearer now....".

Samira was happy and wanted to celebrate but her legs and mind failed her. She felt dizzy, it felt like her entire body was going into hibernation unable to move. She tripped backwards only for Benedict to catch her with his bulky arms.

"..Hehe, You did Well Samira... Your father will be proud of you know eh?"

He smiled amazed by her achievement. Sarah gazed towards own lighting ship beside the sky's ship, her crew members were approaching from the hatchet towards deck, all bearing the same expression of shock.

"The fog is... gone!?" was everyone's first thought.

Sarah smiled before materializing into a strain of lighting heading back to her fleet. Landing flawlessly her members stood before her, waiting for her next order.

"Alright! We have clear view of everything! This space is enough for us to fire cannons at the Leviathan!". She shouted out.

"...But, where's the Leviathan?" One of crew members asked.

--Splash!--

"Hey! Look over there! its Solan!"

One of the members pointed, everyone's attention turning to the 'Silver back' far away, with its back armor crashing onto the tall mountains walls. The entire area was shaking from the impact alone.

"...You completed my request"

Solan shouted out coming from above the mast and landing swiftly with a front flip onto the wooden deck. His clothes were all soaked in water which wasn't a big surprise. Sarah noticed the mysterious tablet equipped onto his waist but didn't ask about it.

"...Samira managed to use her vessel as advantage...Its time for the lighting division to show what we can truly do".

Solan said with a readily smirk, excited now that he had received the stone tablet.
