Level Up: Voidwalker

Atlas was fast asleep while cuddled up to Artemis who was letting out adorable snores which made him relax. A few hours later, he woke up in his bedroom shaking thanks to the storm outside.

'I hate winter, it's always too cold,' he thought while rubbing his eyes. 'At least I have magic here.'

The glass was rattling and the rain was intense causing him to get out of bed only to wrap another blanket around his body. Atlas stood up and walked outside only to sense all the others were asleep apart from one.

Seconds later, Lilith appeared with wild-looking white hair and let out an adorable moan as her ears twitched. The young woman glanced at him with a smile. ''Morning handsome, I knew I smelt you up.''

Atlas chuckled when hearing that before grabbing the young woman and kissing her as she asked. ''Can we fight in your realm, please? I enjoy spending time with you.''

''Of course,'' he answered with a charming smile. ''Let me get a drink then we'll give it ago.''

Lilith agreed before sitting down and watching him make some tea. This took a little while and by the time he was down the duo was sat down drinking as she wanted some which made him laugh.

Once the couple was done, Atlas grabbed the young woman's hand and activated the skill only for them to appear in the horrible jungle. When the Honey Badger saw it she transformed into her monster form.

Just then the buzzing of the Bloodwings approached them from every direction forcing him to jump into the air and cast Void Wave that sent the first ranks of monsters that crashed into the ground with sickening thuds.

As Atlas landed with a soft thud he checked the total and was happy when seeing how many he needed to kill.

''Not long now before we fight with the boss and move onto the next level,'' he muttered.

Moments later, the last of the Kraxari fell to Void Lance and Bullets that tore through their exoskeleton. The ants let out pain-filled chitters before they vanished back into the Void Realm.

While Atlas fought Lilith was using the trees to take out the Bloodwings that tried to swoop down on him but her claws tore into their wings and torsos. Sometime later, the last monster died.

The young woman was panting before returning to her human form. ''Is that the end of the level my love?''

''No,'' he replied while shaking his head. ''We need to fight the boss before the next one which will be fun.''

Following that, Lilith was about to speak but the ground started to shake as a pathway appeared which surprised the duo but Atlas shrugged and grabbed her hand before walking down it.

After an hour of trekking they appeared at an arena which they were trapped inside. This caused the young woman to panic but he reassured her. ''The boss is coming, we'll be fine if we work together.''

Lilith calmed down and took a deep breath as her claws grew longer which made him smile. Moments later, a giant Broodmaw appeared but this one looked even stronger compared to the others.

His eyes narrowed before scanning the boss.

Just as Atlas read the advice his senses kicked into action causing him to push the white-haired woman out of the way as the queen moved. A massive talon pierced the ground where they were standing.

He spun around and started casting Void Bombs at the boss forcing several explosions to erupt. The monster let out an enraged screech before attacking. This time Lilith was the first to make a move.

The young woman dashed forward and started attacking the boss's joints with such force he could feel it through his chest which slowed the woman down. Atlas chuckled while casting Void Step to appear above the Broodmaw.

Without waiting he fell forward and jammed his blades that was coated in mana into the creature's exoskeleton. Once lodged inside he cast Void Lance directly inside which destroyed its organs.

The Broodmaw Queen started thrashing its body all over the place trying to dislodge him from her back. Moments later, he was sent crashing into the nearby wall causing him to grit his teeth just as Lilith moved in.

Atlas stared as the Honey Badger woman shredded the boss's armor with her razor-sharp claws. But the tide turned when one of the creature's talons speared through her leg. In a furious, guttural snarl she sank her teeth into it, tearing it free.

Before the fight could hurt her even more, he sent her back to the safety of the real world. He waved his hand to summon a dozen World Eaters who shot out of the portal and jumped on the boss.

Following that, he jumped up and flung a few Void Lances at the monster and watched as the projectiles burrowed through its exoskeleton causing blood to stain the ground below as one of the dinosaurs rushed in.

The crazy creatures crashed into the crack and started ripping it open before the Broodmaw killed it. Atlas continued attacking while summoning a horde of Void Ghouls that swarmed over the boss to weaken it.

He channeled every ounce of energy into a Void Lance, its dark power humming as he unleashed it. The lance streaked through the air, striking the queen's side with pinpoint precision.

Atlas watched as the impact sent the towering boss hurtling across the arena, crashing violently into the far wall. He then ordered the remaining monsters to attack while he rushed toward its head.

The Broodmaw went to get up but the World Eaters and Ghouls pinned it down just as he rammed his blades through its eyes. Without waiting, he cast Void Bombs into its body which erupted in a massive blast.

His creatures fell one by one, and he stood witness as the boss's form dissolved into nothingness. A moment later, he was jolted back to reality. Atlas blinked awake on the sofa, finding Lilith perched on his lap, her face etched with worry.

''Are you alright, my love?'' she murmured, her head tilting. ''You seemed to be hurting.''

Atlas smiled when hearing her worry but nodded with a smile. ''Yes beautiful, I feel achy but there's no pain,'' he revealed.

Upon hearing his response, Lilith sprang to her feet and circled behind him. Her hands found his shoulders, kneading them with a firm yet tender touch that took him by surprise. At first, he tensed, but as the soothing rhythm of her massage sank in, he melted into relaxation.

While the couple did this Estelle and Amethyst appeared in the room with amused expressions. The blonde was the first to speak as she plopped down on the bed. ''Were you two in the void realm?''

''Yes, I just beat Level Seven,'' he revealed which made them smile. ''Now I can get even more monsters to use against the empire.''

Amethyst gently pulled Lilith aside for a moment, earning a displeased glare from the Honey Badger before she reluctantly stepped away. Once Lilith was out of the way, she slid onto his lap, her arms looping around his shoulders as she leaned in and pressed a kiss to his lips.

''Seems like you've gotten brave since making love with our husband,'' Estella teased with a knowing expression. ''I remember when you used to go red all the time, it was adorable.''

Atlas watched as the phoenix went red and her pointy ears twitched nervously prompting him to give her another kiss before doing the same for the other two women who were happy at being treated equally.

After that, the blonde knights emerged with a tray of tea, setting it down gracefully. Meanwhile, Lilith shifted into her tiny form, scampering up to slip inside his shirt. She nestled against him and quickly drifted off to sleep.

The sight warmed his heart, a gentle smile spreading across his face as he ran his fingers soothingly over the exhausted Honey Badger. When Estelle saw this her eyes sparkled before speaking. ''It's lovely how you treat her, anyone could tell you both are heavily bonded, especially since having sex.''

Atlas felt his cheeks go red when the memories of their intense session appeared in his mind he got flustered. This made Amethyst giggle as she added. ''According to your parents, you were shy around girls and didn't talk to many when you were younger.''

''To be honest, I don't remember too much from the previous Atlas,'' he confessed with a frown. ''I woke up a blank sheet with vague memories that would appear randomly.''

Estelle looked worried and took his hand while asking. ''Does it still bother you? Your previous life I mean?''

Atlas glanced at her and shook his head. ''No, I've accepted that it was my fate yo die on Earth to end up here.''
