Level up Awaken

Chapter 18: Suspension 3

Casper gritted his teeth in anger. He was barely holding back his anger, and the urge to curse was nearly overwhelming.

"I was going to expel them, but Derek was so kind-hearted that he begged me not to expel them," Mr.Elvis Kelvin said with a righteous tone as he praised Derek.

"What a load of horse crap. This is total bush shit," Mrs Margaret said.

"Mrs Atah, you shouldn't be using curse words. You're supposed to be a role model to the younger ones," Mr. Elvis Kelvin said.

Everyone was shocked at Mrs.Margaret cursing. They all knew that she was the kindest person on Earth, and they have never seen her fight, let alone curse.

"Shove your advice down your asshole you fool," Mrs Margaret shouted.

"Cassie was assaulted by this maniac over there," she said as she pointed towards Derek.

"Mrs Margaret...," Mr.Elvis Kelvin was about to say something when Mrs Margaret cut him off.

"My son was fucking hospitalized and was on the edge of death because of this monster over there, if not for the technological advancements my son would be dead," she added.

"Mrs Atah you're...," Mr Elvis Kelvin was about to say something when he was interrupted again by Mrs Margaret.

"Interrupt me again and see what will happen to your fat ass," she said as she looked at Mr Elvis Kelvin threateningly .

Mr Elvis Kelvin gulped as he felt he was in a cage with a berserk, bloodthirsty animal.

"There's video evidence showing that that boy over there started everything, he called her a bitch and she retaliated," she shouted as spittles went flying all over.

"And you've the guts to sit right in front of me and utter such lies, shame on you principal Elvis," she said.

"Sit down, you rabid animal," Mr.Dickson said as he adjusted his tie.

The room immediately went quiet. You could hear a pin drop from a mile away.

Mrs. Margaret's head immediately snapped in his direction, her eyes were bloodshot with anger.

Everyone, most especially Casper, was shocked, they have never seen Mrs.Margaret this angry before.

"What did you call me?" She asked with a growl.

"Sit down you rabid animal," Mr.Dickson said again.

"You have been whining like a little girl non stop, and my ears hurt from listening to you," he said.

"Who the hell cares if your son died?, in the grand scheme of things he is a nobody," Mr.Dickson said with a cold tone.

"How dare you?, how dare you say my son's life means nothing?"Mrs, Margaret asked.

"I see now, an apple doesn't fall far from the tree, monster begot monster," Mrs. Margaret said with venom in her tone.

"The strong feed on the weak, it's basically survival of the fittest," Mr. Dickson said with an indifferent tone.

"Survival of the fittest? You're talking as if this were a war zone, they're kids you fool," she said.

"Darling, it is a war zone, and the weakest can only be stomped and trampled upon," Mr. Dickson said with a cold and ruthless smirk.

Casper's hands were shaking in anger , as he was being referred to as weak and worthless.

"I'm not worthless," Casper shouted as tears streamed from his eyes.

"Hush now, do not talk, unless I speak to you first," Mr. Dickson said.

"How dare you?" A feminine voice said with anger in her voice.

But this time it wasn't Mrs. Margaret's voice, this time it was Cassie's mother voice, Mrs. Joy Rodney, who shouted.

She had just snapped out from her dazed state. The incident with Mrs. Margaret was unexpected and it just spiraled into a complete mess.

Hearing Mrs. Joy Rodney shout, the others immediately snapped out of their dazed state.

Mr. Dickson looked at Mrs. Joy with a raised eyebrow.

"How dare I what?" He asked as he adjusted his tie again, a gesture done out of habit he picked over the years of being a businessman.

"How dare you look down on my daughter and her friends, who the fuck do you think you are?" Mrs. Joy Rodney asked as she glared at Mr. Dickson intensely.

"I'm Mr. Dickson, owner of Dickson Enterprise," He said with a proud voice.

"You think because you're some big-shot, you could look down on us?"Mrs. Margaret asked.

"Yes I can, I'm valuable to the society while you guys are not,I contribute to the growth of Keystone City, while you contributes nothing, I'm at the top of the food chain, while you guys are at the bottom," Mr. Dickson said lengthily.

"Mr. Dickson with your status, don't you think it's a bit myopic and degrading for you to talk like this?" A deep voice said.

The deep voice belonged to Mr. Paul Pascal, Henry's father.

"We always looked up to you, you have helped a lot of people," Mrs. Bella Pascal "Henry's mother" said.

"But we didn't know that behind those good works you do on the television was a cold and emotional man," she added with a tone of disappointment.

"Your thoughts about me are inconsequential," Mr. Dickson said.

"Spoken like a real dick, I guess it runs in the family," Mrs. Joy Rodney said.

"I'm ashamed of you, is this what you are teaching your son?" Mr. Lucky Kingsley said for the first time.

"If news of you being this cold hearted gets out, I wonder what people would say," Mrs. Rose Kingsley said.

Cold sweats could be seen running down principal Elvis Kelvin's face. He wasn't expecting that this issue would escalate this rapidly.

He had only wanted to side with Derek, so that he could get to the good side of Mr. Dickson and maybe make some connection with him.

He knew that Derek was at fault here, but was it wrong to lick the boots of a wealthy man? He asked himself.

Principal Elvis Kelvin cleared his throat, desperate to regain control. "Let's all calm down. We need to resolve this peacefully," he said, his voice shaky.

But the room was far from calm. Mrs. Margaret glared at Mr. Dickson, while Mrs. Joy Rodney stood protectively beside her daughter. Casper wiped his tears, anger and humiliation burning in his chest.

Mr. Dickson looked around the room, his eyes like a hawk, he looked like he was able to see their very soul.

"I have entertained you guys long enough," he paused for a while before continuing.

"Remember, I'm influential and I could do anything to y'all," he said as he stood up to leave.

"Is that a threat?" Mrs. Margaret asked.

"Take it however you please," he said as he stood up to leave.

"I have been recording you all this while, I got you threatening my friends and family, I got the unjust treatment from principal Elvis, I got you calling our life's worthless, I got everything" Henry who had been quiet all this while said. He brought out a small portable camera and showed it to them.

For the first time Mr. Dickson, showed a hint of emotion, before going back to his cold look.

"You're playing with fire, young one," he said as he looked as Henry Unblinking.

Principal Elvis Kelvin immediately broke down.

"Now, now Henry, there's no need to do that," Mr. Elvis Kelvin said with a nervous smile.

He was quite worried because if the video ever got out, he would surely be fired.

Mr. Dickson might be able to walk away Scot-free, but he, himself certainly wouldn't be able to do so.
