Volume 6 Chapter 10: Size Fight & Hot Spring
Volume 6 Chapter 10: Size Fight & Hot Spring
(Aurevia)
On the earthen fortress, there are three levels in total.
The second level has a massive gate that can be opened to the outside, serving as the only entrance and exit. Besides being the gateway, this level also houses workshops and machine rooms.
As for the third level, it's the residential area. Apart from several mostly unused "empty" rooms—bare rooms without even furniture—there's also a spacious living room with a stone table and a small kitchen.
Hmm... According to Walson, because a certain adventurer named Chuck is related to royalty, he was able to own such a large house. However, since he's often away, this mansion has been vacant for a long time.
Though it's not dirty, it's definitely dusty. Yesterday, after everyone arrived here, besides setting up their own rooms, we also gave this mansion a good cleaning.
Now, the area on the first level, well, that's the essence of this building.
At this moment, Aurevia descended the stairs carrying a small cloth bag and walked to the first level area. She pushed open the wooden door and entered a small room.
Inside the wooden room, the furnishings were simple: a mirror, a few small chairs, a four-tiered shelf, and a glass door filled with steam.
Aurevia placed the small cloth bag on the shelf, tied up her voluminous curly hair, and then loosened her belt, removing her simple dress, revealing her fair and voluptuous figure...
"Excuse me." A few minutes later, she pushed open the glass door, wrapped in a large white towel. With swirling steam and a faint smell of sulfur, she entered.
What came into view was a spacious space surrounded by metal walls, at least as large as four classrooms. The wooden floor, in the steam-filled environment and hazy lighting, looked dreamy.
In the center of the room, there was a huge hot spring pool, with a bronze cat-shaped statue sitting next to it, lazily opening its big mouth as water flowed out like a waterfall into the pool.
Aurevia sat down by the pool, cautiously touching the surface with her toes. After confirming the water temperature was fine, she relaxed and immersed herself in the pool.
Ah...Aurevia couldn't help but close her eyes, enjoying the pleasure brought by the hot water.
The water reached her waist, warm and clear, instantly releasing all her fatigue.
This is a hot spring...Aurevia thought, feeling a bit excited.
This is the first level of the earthen fortress, the hot spring bath— Truthfully speaking, It's a bit extravagant to build this as a bathhouse inside the house, is this how dwarves really live? It's a bit too luxurious.
Very luxurious, but I like it.
"...Ah, it's Aure." Just then, a voice came from the mist, and Aurevia opened her eyes, only to find Grace also in the hot spring.
Grace sat with her knees hugged, most of her body immersed in the hot spring. To avoid direct immersion in the hot water, she gathered her long black hair behind her, with a folded towel placed on top of her head. Watching Grace, with only half her head peeking out from the water, Aurevia couldn't help but feel amused.
"Turns out Grace is here too. This hot spring is really comfortable," The elf said, getting up and moving towards Grace's direction.
"...Melon is here too," Grace pointed to the side. "Seems to be meditating."
Only when Aurevia approached did she realize that yes, the Lizardkin is also inside the hot spring, as for why it took so long for her to notice the scaled girl, it's probably due to the mist. And just like her, Melon was also wrapped in a towel, sitting in the corner of the hot spring pool.
She lay in a similar posture to Grace's, which meant she was leaning against the corner of the pool with her eyes closed and unmoving— Um, is this really meditation? She looks like she's just asleep.
Due to her race, Melon is naturally sensitive to changes in temperature. When the weather is cold, she seems to become lethargic— It's comfortable even when she's lethargic in the hot water, huh?
Aurevia sat down on the stone steps next to Grace, picked up a small wooden ladle from the poolside, scooped up some hot water, and poured it over her shoulders. At the same time, she casually chatted with Grace.
Inadvertently, Aurevia noticed a petal-shaped mark on Grace's right shoulder,It's quite an odd-shaped birthmark. This thought passed through Aurevia's mind.
"By the way, Grace, are you okay soaking in the water?" Aurevia asked.
"...I drew a magic circle by the pool yesterday while cleaning," Grace said, maintaining her posture in the hot water. "So it's fine."
"Ah, I remember seeing you do that back at Derisha's old place," Aurevia said, pausing. "Come to think of it, we've been to so many places on this journey... If it were the old me, I probably couldn't have imagined such a thing."
Regarding the hot spring, this is something that doesn't exist neither in Braatio nor in Teigitan. Initially, I thought it was just an ordinary hot tub, but soaking in it made me realize it's much more than that.
When I heard Walson describe it before, I was a bit skeptical, but now I feel like I was really foolish.
"Yeah, after leaving Sadin Village, we've seen so many things," Grace said.
Arriving at the capital, she saw many different people, made friends at the academy, and honed her magic.
"Isn't it? Like this dwarf town really broadened my horizons, with its gear arms and all," Aurevia said.
Although unable to leave this castle, one can still admire the breathtaking underground world through the windows.
It's somewhat ridiculous, thinking back to the haughty attitude of most high elf nobles in my hometown, who considered themselves superior and looked down upon other races, particularly the dwarves— But seeing the sights here, I can't help but feel they are hopelessly foolish.
Perhaps being exiled was for the best, before those entrenched ideas took hold, I was kicked out of the country, allowing me to see the world outside.
"Grace, what about you? What do you think of the dwarves' technology?" Aurevia asked, washing her face with hot water.
However, there are still inconveniences. Due to the dwarves' stature, the height of each floor in this castle is only about two meters, and everyday items are more diminutive. Though it doesn't affect mobility, it can feel a bit restrictive.
"Hmm," Grace pondered.
"Walson is still more impressive," they both said in unison, then chuckled.
"Hey, Grace, I just realized, I'm so glad to know you guys," Aurevia suddenly felt a strange emotion in her heart.
Yeah, it's really great.
When I was exiled from the Braatio Empire, I was filled with sorrow and resentment, thinking I had lost everything.
But when I came to my senses, I found herself having so much again.
"...No, really, it's just so great to know Walson," Grace said, pouting suddenly and acting a bit spoiled.
Hearing this, Aurevia blushed, but didn't deny it.
Seeing her reaction, Grace puffed up her cheeks and stood up from the pool, turning around to face Aurevia from a higher position.
"...I won't lose. I won't just let Walson be yours so easily," Grace said.
"Then you better protect yourself from being snatched away by me, Grace-chan," Aurevia retorted, defiantly taking a step forward. Although she couldn't meet Grace's eyes due to her shorter height, her ample bosom was pressed directly against Grace's flat chest.
A battle of size, and she lost miserably
Grace's whole face turned red, a mixture of embarrassment and anger, and finally, she made a decision.
"Wait, wait, Grace, physical contact is against the rules..."
Grace took a step back, raised her hands like claws, and looked directly into Aurevia's eyes maliciously.
As she wasn't wearing glasses, purple light began to emanate from Grace's pupils, giving Aurevia a sense of impending doom...
Just then...
"Whoooo!!" A feminine voice shouted, splashing water from the hot spring!
Aurevia and Grace quickly covered their heads with their hands, avoiding the fate of getting their hair wet.
Completely naked, little Tanaya stood up joyfully from the pool, her whole body dripping wet, seemingly unconcerned about getting her hair wet.
"It's dangerous to be running around in the bath . Who taught you that?" Grace reached out to pat Tanaya's head, and Tanaya happily hugged Grace's thigh.
"It was Sister Derisha who taught me! She and Sister Alice came in too!" Tanaya said cheerfully.
Hearing this, Grace and Aurevia simultaneously looked towards the entrance of the dressing room, suddenly feeling the urge to escape from the bath.
"Derisha! Wait, I'm a desert-dwelling Lamia, I can't swim! No! No!"
"It's okay, we'll protect you!"
Derisha, naked, carried Alice in a princess hold, while Alice tried to push Derisha's body with her hands to break free, but her strength was no match for Derisha's.
"Okay~ Here we go!!"
"No no no no no no no!!!!!"
Splash!!
