Legendary Shelter Survival Guide

Chapter 91: Getting another skill

"I know this cooking seems good, you get buffy in the food but this Healing wave is better suited for your abilities." John said to compel Ella in getting the 'Healing Wave' skill.

Lucas could see in his imagination how Elle could send a wave of healing toward him while he gets wounded and fighting.

"If you say so..." Ella said, clearly, she said she wanted the cooking skills because she really wanted it.

But being selfish right now could not do the group any good, Lucas knew that if everything goes right, then Late Jimmy's group will merge with his.

Ella picked the healing skill while still looking at the cooking one.

"Now, who will go next?" Lucas asked while looking at the sisters who were looking at all skill descriptions again and again.

"I want the 'Necromantic Ritual'." Sandra spoke clearly while looking at Lucas with serious eyes as if she was dead serious.

Lucas read the description one more time and then looked at Sandra, the skill and her personality didn't match. But it was still a good skill yet he didn't want it.

"Does anyone want this skill that Sandra chose?" Lucas asked yet no one objected thinking that the skill was bad news.

Sandra didn't smile nor became happy and just grabbed the 'Necromantic Ritual' and went to the back to let the other choose now.

"Alright... Mike, Jerry... what would you both like to get?" Lucas asked after an eye contact with John who approved of their group's choosing at the last.

"After looking at them all, I think my fighting style could have the best match with 'Frostbite Aura', what do you think?" Jerry asked while looking at John after the explanation.

'You think I am a child?' Lucas thought. He wanted Jerry to ask him but asking John was also alright, John knew better than Lucas how the world worked.

"Hmm... you fight with gauntlets, so you can't fight from afar. This skill can help you render the enemies near you with disadvantages." John said confidently and after checking every skill name in some seconds, he didn't add anything more. The skill was the best for Jerry who was a very close-range fighter.

Jerry picked it up but Mike was still in a dilemma.

"We don't have much time, Mike. Have you chosen?" John said from the back making Mike move his eyes around fast.

"All the skills are good, but I can't find any that can help with my fire bullets..." He said confused, Lucas took the great timing and looked around.

There was nothing related to fire in there so Lucas decided to choose something new for him which was good.

"How about Geomancy? It helps with manipulating different stuff, you might even be able to make some good stuff for both fighting and normal times."

Mike read the description and with a nod just picked the skill up without any argument.

'4 done... 7 more... sigh..' Lucas thought that time was running too short.

From the fifteen minutes, two minutes had already gone by.

"Haley? You are next."

"I want some more time, Bill, you go first." Haley demanded and Bill had no reluctance.

"I will have this 'Shadow Steps', I am lacking with any attack skills which I direly need-"

"Yeah, okay, next," Lucas interjected, they didn't have time to listen to all this from him.

Lucas went to John and said something in his ear that others didn't notice and who noticed didn't bother anyway.

John nodded and said some things to Sean and Barney in a whisper. Sean had a frown but Barney went in without interjection and pointed at a skill.

"Mystical Preservation? Good choice Barney!" Lucas exclaimed while clapping, he was grinning inwardly as he had told John to make his sons get a skill each that he suggested.

John already knew what these skills were and he approved that the groups should have them.

"Ugh... fine..." Sean went and without telling anything, he picked a skill making may curious and look at the paper.

"Calm down, people, nothing special... It's just this 'Runesmith'." Sean said while clicking his tongue.

In honesty in his heart, Sean didn't have anything to pick as he didn't want to fight in the frontlines nor in the support. He just wanted to sit around but also be useful.

"Good Choice!" Lucas exclaimed and finally looked at Sarah that had already decided on something.

"Can I have this one please?" She asked while pointing at the 'Electric Elemental Conjuring'.

Lucas nodded with a smile, he didn't know much about it but with the things that were left now, it was the best choice.

"Okay, I will go next now. I will have this 'Leather working' skill. It matches with what I need and I like it already."

"Hahaha... I knew it." Lucas said with a grin, he had the gist that John was going to pick this one.

"Then I will get this one." He said while inwardly laughing and grinning.

"Potion Brewing? Is it good?" Ella asked with a tilted head in confusion.

"You will know soon, Aunt Ella." Lucas said and kept the rough small paper in his pocket.

"Okay, you are next Haley, grab one out of the two left... Basic cooking and High jump."

Haley just took the Basic cooking skill while looking at Ella who had a warm smile on her face, she always had her eyes on that skill but was reluctant as Ella also wanted it.

Everything was done from one of the chambers one of the chests which had no light in it now.

Everyone had the required skills they desired in their hands but no one tried to tear it right away thinking that they could do it later after getting free.

'Score' Lucas thought with he 'Potion Brewing' skill in his pocket, one would have not taken this skill as it only provided the basic knowledge of brewing which was not worth it in the starting when everyone needed to survive, not settle.

But Lucas already knew about the Flora in the forest except the fauna which as already enough.
