Lucas saw light flashing before his eyes and a tug at his body from behind on his waist as if some rope had latched itself to him and was pulling now.

It was over a few seconds later when the light faded and he was in that same old dungeons chamber where it all started.

Lucas felt furious looking at the dungeon as they may have entered it but were never positive about the idea to get shifted somewhere else like that.

He looked around and found all the people with them except Jimmy. Haley and Sandra were brawling their eyes out which was very normal in this situation.

"Aunt Ella..." Lucas called for Ella who was just beside him. She got what he wanted to convey and went to the two girls the age of Lucas.

They were both with each other with hands held together, Ella just went and hugged them tightly.

Sandra had some restrictions at first but when she felt the warm embrace of the hand on her head, her tears just burst out more than before making Ella's heart sink with pain.

"We can still go get him right? Right, Jerry?" Sandra said with crazed eyes, it was difficult for Jerry to speak anything as it could have some severe repercussions.

If the girls break mentally further then it would be bad for the whole group.

Lucas sighed, it seemed it was time for him to budge in. He didn't mind getting hated by the two for telling them the truth so he spoke.

"Your brother gave his life to save ours, he told me to take care of you. Do not cry as you are just making his sacrifice a waste."

Sandra and Haley looked at Lucas with surprise but soon one of them's face constricted furiously.

"What the fuck are you on about? Sacrifice? If you would have fought with him, nothing would have happened!" Sandra shouted with a furious face. All the shy nature everyone was accustomed to her was gone and her attitude seemed like she was filled with poison.

"Sandra, s-stop." Haley said while nudging at her sleeve. She had no energy to even say anything to her more than this.

"You think we didn't help? I busted my whole leg trying to kill that thing, to save your brother. Do you think I did nothing then look at what you were doing that whole time! Your brother was infected way before that-"

"Lucas, stop." John said while showing Lucas that Sandra had started to cry again.

He looked at Lucas and could see that even he was sad. Lucas looked mature but in nature, he was still a child just like the other two girls.

"Your brother died a hero, he protected us all so don't cry, you're just making his loss go to waste," Lucas said and when he thought he had enough, he stopped after telling them the truth.

'What the hell am I even saying.' Lucas didn't know why he shouted all that out. If something were to happen to his sister, it was obvious that he was going to cry.

Soon, the chest formed after all the mumbo jumbo and they looked different.

In a world red in color, there were many flesh and puss-covered creatures. The place looked vast and plain with no trees, no natural fauna, and flora of its own.

In that area, there were countless corpses of different kinds of creatures. Be it flying birds, dog-looking ones, or even human looking, there were all.

He walked toward the sisters and crouched to them, Sandra looked at him with watery eyes, her small nose sniffled cutely but her face had become dull. Haley on the other hand was now calm and trying to make her sister calm too.

She was the older sister among them.

"I am sorry for what I said before, even I am upset about him."

"I-I... I can't see his name in this list." Sandra said while crying and pointing toward the front which Lucas understood to be the party list.

Lucas went with them both to the chests and observed.
