Lucas went toward the area right in front of the shelter's gate where the light was still illuminating from some of the corpse's parts.

Only three of them were left and all of them were the bigger parts. The others were already done and Lucas had not seen the ending each time because of not paying attention.
But now he had the opportunity so he tried to not even blink.
In five seconds, the rectangle of light floating in the air started to fade into existence. In place of it, the items were all in place and organized. Now that Lucas observed, the rectangle was bigger than the whole chunk of the corpse it was processing and the only deduction was that in order to organize the stuff, the skill needed space.
In front of him, there was the usual Leather on one side, the sliced pieces of flesh, all the waste matter on one side, the bones on the other. There were no nails or teeth as this particular chunk was cut very unevenly and it was near the ribs.
Lucas settled back into his position, determined to stay awake throughout the entire process. He knew that his mana reserves were dwindling, and it was crucial for him to monitor the skill until its completion. The consequences of his mana depleting in his sleep were unknown, but Lucas wasn't willing to take any chances. Discover hidden content at empire
As he watched the skill continue its work, he couldn't help but feel a sense of awe mixed with unease. The way the items were being organized and sorted within the rectangle of light was fascinating.
Hours passed, and the skill continued its meticulous work. Lucas's mana reserves reached their lowest point, leaving him feeling drained and vulnerable. He knew that he couldn't afford to let his guard down, not now when he was so close to witnessing the completion of the process.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the rectangle of lights began to fade away. In its place, neatly organized items remained, each in its designated location. The skill had finished its task, and Lucas let out a sigh of relief. He had made it through the long wait, and now he could finally rest.
Satisfied with the outcome, Lucas decided it was time to rest. He knew that he needed to replenish his mana and regain his strength. As he made his way back to his sleeping quarters, he couldn't help but feel a mix of curiosity and apprehension about what lay ahead.
The skill had shown him a glimpse of its power, and he wondered how it he could use the things aside from the flesh to his and the group's benefit.
But for now, sleep called to him and he went inside the shelter and woke Haley before he went to his designated sleeping place. There were no luxuries meaning no bed, no cushions, no pillows. But after an intense day of exhaustion, he slept right away enjoying the good dreams that automatically came with it.
The next morning, Lucas awoke feeling a renewed sense of energy. The rest had done him good, and his mana reserves had recovered slightly. He knew he needed to prioritize replenishing his mana before anything else, as it was the source of his power and would be crucial for further progress.
After a brief breakfast, he looked at all the stuff that the others had shifted inside the storage, and after inspecting them for a short while, he went outside and sat in one of the corners of the shelter.
The Basilom kid was doing well and John's jinx had not worked as it was still a small child that bit on the flesh with no teeth in order to drink the blood. Its mouth was covered in blood and it seemed to enjoy Ella's embrace while also drinking the blood.
Lucas had two small rough papers in his hand, they were his skill and weapon respectively. After looking at the description for some time, he finally tore the weapon materializing a long sword in his hand which was inside its scabbard.
"Holy shit..." Lucas had no other way but to cuss. The sword didn't look anywhere near his first sword. It had a huge presence and a feel of royalty.
With a shining silver plate on the scabbard and a hilt with a lot of gems and designs. The sword looked to be made by a very proficient person who knew what he was doing when he made it.
He took a moment to appreciate the weight and balance of the sword. Its grip felt natural in his hand, and he could almost sense the latent magic coursing through its blade. With a sense of anticipation and determination, Lucas stood up, preparing to test the sword's capabilities.
He moved the scabbard revealing a blade better than his first sword. It had no design and still, it had its own presence that demanded getting attention.
Swinging the blade through the air, he marveled at its fluid motion and the way it seemed to effortlessly slice through the space.
The sword was an extension of his will, responding to his every movement with grace and precision. It was clear that this weapon was meant for serious combat, capable of striking down even the most formidable opponents.
Lucas looked at his stats which had a surge of points when he pulled the scabbard.
"I can feel the stat increase clearly... is this what it feels like to be an authoritative leader?" Lucas thought while feeling confidence welling in his veins. He did not know why but he was even confident to take on the big undead and take it down on his own while possessing this sword.
He placed the sword right inside the scabbard again and looked at yet another piece of rough paper. It was time to brew some potions.
Lucas tore the paper which made him feel a headache that could kill an average guy easily.
