The past three days had been like this, Mona taking care of dinner and Luo An in charge of breakfast.

Carrying the prepared breakfast, Luo An knocked on the bedroom door and called out loudly:

"Breakfast is ready, Mona! Open up!"

"No!"

Inside the bedroom, Mona eyed the utterly un-sleepable bedsheets, her face flushed with red.

If she hadn't felt so sore and completely drained last night, she would never have slept on this bed.

Hearing Luo An telling her to open up for breakfast, Mona's face showed even deeper embarrassment.

These past mornings, whenever she got up to dress, Luo An was always handsy, only giving up the thought of continuing their skirmish because they had to get to work.

But today was Saturday, a morning when a man's energy peaks, and feeling that her body hadn't fully recovered, Mona would not let Luo An in no matter what.

"Alright, then I'll just leave the breakfast on the table."

Luo An outside the bedroom had already guessed what Mona was thinking. He understood the principle of 'too much is as bad as too little.' After last night's long ordeal, for the sake of Mona's well-being, Luo An didn't plan to instigate anything that morning.

But saying these things to Mona wouldn't have convinced her anyway, so after leaving the breakfast on the table, Luo An added:

"Mona, eat your breakfast while it's hot!

I'm going back to my apartment to change clothes. Rider invited us to his family barbecue queue yesterday, so be mindful of the time and don't be late."

Luo An had originally planned to come back to pick up Mona after changing his clothes, but Mona had rejected this offer last night; she wanted to drive there herself.

Long after the sound of the closing door, Mona cautiously cracked open the bedroom door, scanning her surroundings carefully before stepping out of her room.

She had no choice; last time, when Mona was taking a shower, Luo An said he had left, but the moment she opened the door, Luo An charged in.

Whether because of work or daily life, Luo An's word was law — stern and serious; Mona really trusted Luo An.

But at certain times, Mona discovered that the words out of Luo An's mouth were, ten times out of ten, not to be believed.

Mona patted her conscience and sighed with relief upon finding out that Luo An had truly left the apartment, then started eating the breakfast on the table.

These past few days, Luo An had prepared a different breakfast each time, but all to Mona's liking, so the food on the table was quickly devoured by her.

Walking into the bathroom, seeing the toothpaste, hot water, and change of clothes Luo An had prepared for her in advance, Mona's face broke into a beautiful smile.

But while taking a shower, Mona suddenly thought of something, her face's joyful smile slowly fading away, replaced by a hint of sadness.

Driving the Chevrolet back to his little apartment in Greenwich, these past few days Luo An only returned here to change clothes.

Plus, since Luo An hadn't really lived here for long, a faint sense of strangeness emerged suddenly when he stepped into the room.

After showering and taking care of his personal hygiene, Luo An changed into a set of casual clothes he usually wore, looked himself over in the mirror, chuckled, and left again for the Rider's house.

There were children playing in the crowd too, and the atmosphere at the scene was very lively.

After a while, Luo An put down his beer, about to grab some barbecue to fill his stomach, when Augustus suddenly came up to him, patted his shoulder, and took him over to a corner of the lawn.
