Legendary Broken Player - VRMMORPG

Chapter 695 - Dome of Aetherial Unity

Broken activated every protective and defensive skill at his disposal, leaving nothing to chance. With his Invincible Paragon Set equipped, he brought each ability online.

The miniature shield-shaped device he held began to hover above them, spinning rapidly. It projected a series of interlocking hexagonal shields that expanded outward, glowing gold as they connected and enveloped the entire city and the battlefield beyond.

At the same time, a massive meteor—blazing like a fragment of the sun—descended from the heavens. The ground shook violently and the temperature soared as the meteor neared impact.

Alora wrapped her arms around Broken from behind and resting her head gently against his back. "We can get through this," she whispered.

"Yes, we can!" Broken replied firmly.

He braced himself, unsure of just how devastating the impact would be.

[Nature's Herald (Active Skill) Lv. 2 activated.]

Broken summoned the Elder Dragon Tree, a majestic creature of vines, bark, and verdant energy. The dragon coiled through the air near him, releasing a shimmering cloud of pollen that washed over both him and Alora, providing them with additional reinforcement.

The meteor loomed ever closer.

Alora adjusted her stance slightly on Polly's back, drawing her Legendary-grade sword. As she held it aloft, an aura of earth energy began to swirl around them. Giant blocks of stone and hardened earth erupted from the thin air, rising rapidly to form protective layers that encased them from all directions.

The final moment was upon them.

The meteor, a fiery behemoth of destruction, slammed into the golden hexagonal barrier with a deafening roar.

For a moment, it seemed the barrier would hold—but then the blaze intensified. Flames, hotter than anything Broken had ever felt, surged outward in a torrent of fury. The hexagonal shield buckled under the pressure, cracks forming as the meteor's immense force bore down relentlessly.

BOOM!

The shield trembled but held, bending under the meteor's destructive force. Yet, the firestorm from the impact roared past its edges, tearing into every protection skill Broken had activated.

Broken gritted his teeth, his body straining against the meteor's relentless power. Beside him, the Elder Dragon Tree coiled protectively.

But the situation worsened quickly as his protective skills began to break, faltering under the intense heat and pressure.

His massive health pool was depleting rapidly, only to be partially replenished by the Elder Dragon Tree's healing abilities.

This isn't enough!

[Awaken the Nature Goddess (Active Skill) activated.]

A radiant, ethereal figure of Gaia emerged beside them.

[Nature Healing (Active Skill) activated.]

Broken felt the change instantly. The constant assault on his health stabilized, his wounds mending faster than the flames could burn him. But it was still a brutal battle of attrition.

Alora continued casting protective shields around them, layer after layer.

"I'm okay," she said, sensing his concern. "The damage I'm taking isn't as severe as what you're enduring, Broken."

He nodded but clenched his jaw. They couldn't hold out like this forever—not just the two of them.

The meteor's fury wasn't letting up, and every second that passed drained their resources further.

"We need reinforcements!"

Frostedge shot upward from below, moving with incredible speed. Standing atop his sword, he began casting spells. In moments, massive ice shards formed around them, encasing the group.

The shards absorbed the relentless heat and impact from the meteor, but each one shattered almost as quickly as it formed, forcing Frostedge to continuously regenerate the barriers.

The three of them—Broken, Alora, and Frostedge—were locked in a desperate struggle.

Every moment demanded their utmost focus as they juggled their resources: Mana, cooldown timers, and their rapidly fluctuating Health. Each second was a test of endurance, a battle to stay ahead of the meteor's cataclysmic assault.

Polly was still holding strong. But even she was beginning to falter.

"We can't hold this forever!" Broken shouted.

Freya had already shared detailed information in the Guild Chat about what Broken was doing and how everyone could contribute to absorbing the massive damage from the meteor.

Moments later, Tora took to the broadcast.

"Attention! This is critical—listen closely!" he announced. "Broken is fighting to stop the meteor, but he can't do it alone! The damage is too much for one person to handle!"

He thrust his hand into the air, his voice rising to a shout. "Raise your hands! We'll take on the meteor's damage together!"

On the ground, Max and others hesitated before following his lead, lifting their hands high. The action was almost instinctive.

"Ahhh!" Max screamed, yanking her hand back almost instantly.

"Tora, I can't! The damage is too much—my level's too low! I can't hold it!"

Tora's face tensed. He quickly lowered his own hand.

"Yes, Max!" he said, his voice urgent as he turned back to the broadcast. "Everyone, listen carefully! Cast any healing skills you have and stay close to your support teams! The damage is enormous—don't let yourselves die!"

Across the battlefield, voices erupted.

"Clerics, I need more healing over here!"

"I'm out of Mana potions! Someone, please cover me!"

"It's working, but it's draining me too fast!"

"Raise your hands! Don't let the damage fall back on them alone!"

"Healers, keep everyone alive! We need everyone at full strength!"

"Broken, you better win this for us!"

"KEEP CASTING! The meteor hasn't stopped moving!"

"GO! Don't move, I'm healing you!"

"Damn it, we need more AoE heals—group up tighter!"

"DAMN THIS HEAT! Just how much longer can we hold?!"

[kenneth_burton]: "This is literally a Spirit Bomb moment. Where's Goku when you need him?"

[McKenneth_Pearison]: "Tora's announcement: 'Share the damage!' Max: Shares damage once and regrets every life decision."

[Sean_Weil]: "Tora out here like, 'IF YOU CAN HEAR MY VOICE, CLAP YOUR HANDS!' but we're all dead inside."

[Corodix]: "Where's that guy who said 'it's just a game'? Come take 1% of this meteor damage and THEN tell me that."

[Carl_Chalmers]: "Broken: activates everything. Meteor: 'Cool story, bro. Here's a fireball the size of your hopes and dreams.'"

[DaoistLIML1o]: "Raise your hands, they said. Takes 2 million damage. 'My therapist is gonna hear about this.'"

At the same time, across the battlefield, several figures surged into the air. Find exclusive stories on empire

Elincia streaked upward, her body crackling with electricity as arcs of lightning danced around her.

Goldrich dashed across a series of floating platforms he summoned beneath his feet.

Nearby, a massive insect-like summon soared into view, piloted by Jovina.

Kingsley, in his Hawk Form, cut through the sky with powerful beats of his wings.

A wyvern rose next, ridden by Booba.

And finally, Tora spread his radiant wings. He turned back briefly to Max. "Max, I'm leaving the ground to you! Broken needs us in the sky!"

With that, he shot upward.

One by one, they converged around Broken, each casting their most defensive skills to contribute to the effort. But as soon as they drew close to the meteor's overwhelming heat and force, a chilling realization dawned upon them.

The sheer intensity of the damage began to drain their health at an alarming rate—faster than many of them had ever experienced.

Jovina gasped. "This is insane! My health's dropping just from being here!"

"Don't stop! We're here to back him up!"

"I didn't sign up for this level of madness. But… no turning back now!"
