Legendary Architect of Apocalypse

"Are you seeing what I am seeing?" Elias asked Astralious, still finding it hard to believe that there was a place like this in the middle of the Ocean.

"Didn't they say that it was some advanced civilization? Were we sent to the wrong realm accidentally?" Astralious looked just as perplexed as he looked at the scenery before him.

What they saw wasn't some grand marvel of technology. It wasn't even some mystical treasure that utilized some advanced magic. All they could see was a mere pirate ship that was made from wooden planks.

Even the wood didn't appear any special, as it had already started to rot. It looked like any run out the mill wood that could be found in any lower world.

The ship was being pulled thanks to the winds, using the most mediaeval method. There were no weapons on the ship. As for any defence mechanisms, they were completely non-existent.

Looking at the scene, even Elias was starting to wonder if he was even in the right realm. Was there some malfunction in the gate that led him to a completely different realm accidentally?

There was a small lantern on the deck, which had become the light source that guided him here. But that lantern was the only thing that looked out of the ordinary in this entire useless ship.

The flames were in a deeper shade of blue, looking similar to his own ice phoenix flames. Still, they weren't the same. He couldn't feel any familiarity from the flames in the lantern. If anything, they felt more estranged.

Elias flew closer to the ship, where he couldn't see even a single person on the deck. He landed on the ship, not far from the lantern.

Initially, he had planned to be more cautious. He wanted to send Astralious to explore the ship, but looking at the ship's condition, he had a change of heart.

If the ship was in a condition like this, then there were only two possibilities.

The first possibility was that the crew was barely enough to maintain the ship, which meant they were weak. The second possibility was that there was no crew, and the ship had long been abandoned already.

He went down the ship, and checked every room. But just as he had expected, there were no signs of life.

He found some food in the ship, but it had long expired. The deck was still somewhat cleaner, but the lower floors were filled with dust. There were even spider webs all over the place, as it hadn't been cleaned for a long time.

"Strange. Why are there so many skeletons here?"

Other than the food, they had also found a few skeletons that belonged to people who had decayed in the long passage of time. But there was no blood, or any signs of a struggle nearby.

"This person was in his early thirties when he died. The cause of death seems to be hunger," Elias said after checking the condition of one of the skeletons.

"That doesn't seem right. Haven't we seen lots of food along the way? It didn't look like they lacked food during their lifetime. To die of hunger out of all things? Isn't that strange?"

Astralious didn't think that Elias was right this time. His theory didn't fit the living conditions that they had seen so far.

Even Elias found it hard to believe, but Analysis had never been wrong. It was a class ability that had helped him a lot. Analysis had never been wrong, but the situation was indeed strange.

"It's not as if someone placed all that food here after the crew died of hunger." Astralious lazily rolled his eyes. "Whatever, it's none of our concern. Since there's nothing useful here, we should get going. We still have to find the shore on our own."

Even though he had a lot of questions about this place, he didn't want to stress his head over something unnecessary. In his eyes, it was just a waste of time to come here.

It wasn't the same for Elias though. He didn't find this place to be a waste of time. Even though it was frustrating that he couldn't find any living person here to answer him, but this place was far from useless.

He already had the Soul of Judgement, whose speciality was judging the class of an awakener. But that wasn't the only thing that it could judge, especially after he had extracted it for his own use.

He had planned to use one of those souls for his future creation, but now he was having second thoughts.

The ship was indeed in a bad condition, but it was still useful in his eyes. It could easily serve as the base for his creation, something that could turn out to be very useful in this vast ocean.

"We aren't leaving this ship anytime soon." He turned around, and went back to the deck, to start his preparation for the evolution of the ship.

It was the first time he was using an evolution on something so huge, but he was also looking forward to it. Just what could he create if he used the mediocre looking materials of this world with the materials of his world.

He even had the essence of the fables to create something truly spectacular, especially with the fables that belonged to the territory of water.

The next three days, Elias didn't rest for even a single second. He kept researching, trying to find the merger combination to bring out the best out of this ship.

He could easily merge superior materials blindly, but that wasn't the best solution in his eyes. As he had been trying to learn the art of creating poison, he realized that sometimes, the worst poison combination only neutralized the poison, instead of making it stronger.

He had started to consider the art of evolution in the same realm. It was like chemistry, and he had to find the best elements for the finished product.

Fortunately, after three days of hard work, he had finished the evolution of the ship, creating something that was strong enough to rule the oceans.
