Legacy of the Dragon Lord

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: New Bonds and Hidden Rivalries

The moon hung high in the sky, casting eerie silver light through the stained-glass windows of the academy's ancient library. Shira's fingers trembled as they traced the spine of an old leather-bound tome. She wasn't sure what had drawn her here—only that something deep inside whispered her name, pulling her forward.

A sudden gust of wind sent candles flickering, casting wild shadows against the stone walls. She opened the book, and the moment her fingertips brushed the pages, a surge of energy coursed through her veins. Her vision blurred. The library melted away, replaced by scenes of a great battle—dragons soaring through smoke-filled skies, a woman standing at the heart of the storm, fire and fury emanating from her very being.

And then, she saw herself.

Dragon Lords—warriors bound by an ancient bloodline, blessed with the ability to command dragons and wield elemental power beyond mortal comprehension. They were the bridge between man and beast, the guardians of balance in the world. But over centuries, their numbers had dwindled, and their existence faded into legend.

The realization struck her like a thunderbolt. She was a Dragon Lord. But the power within her lay dormant, locked away like a sleeping beast waiting to be awakened.

She staggered back, her breath coming in short gasps. No one could know. Not yet.
