League of Legends: Unrivaled

Chapter 20: Chapter 20 Jedi Counterattack

Han Fei was actually still somewhat conscious. He didn't even understand how he'd been so badly outplayed.

Even against any top-tier AD carry, he was no match. Everyone knew his laning was his strength, and compared to his ferocious laning prowess, teamfighting was his weakness.

But this time... he was crushed in the lane.

If this continued, the economic gap would only widen.

He felt like a frog in warm water, waiting for a slow death.

The only thing he could do was to use his Q or W to kill one or two minions while his abilities were off cooldown. He didn't even dare to go up and drain Vayne's health.

Even Vayne didn't even dodge when he saw his Q or W, but stood still and let him hit her. Her message was clear: If you want to hit me, go ahead, I won't hide, I'll hit you as much as you want.

He was simply arrogant, presumptuous to the extreme.

Vayne's positioning was strategic. If you tried to Q her, you couldn't, forcing Lucian to make a choice. Now all she had to do was occasionally turn back and fire an arrow, then stare at Lucian, a veritable stagnant last-hitting.

But Lucian couldn't do anything about it. Every time he Q'd or W'd Vayne, he'd lose a few minions to last-hit, as skills have a time limit.

Han Fei felt helpless, unwilling, and humiliated. He had never felt so helpless before. He was being beaten to a pulp in lane. It wasn't because he was weak, but because Vayne was so brutal. Only after crossing the lane did you truly understand how formidable she was.

Not even a single chance.

He felt like a martial arts expert facing a master. The master's skills were flawless, leaving him no room for attack.

Lucian finally couldn't help himself. Seeing that his money was almost gone, he used his ultimate to clear the minions.

He completely ignored Vayne, standing in front of him, and watched helplessly as countless bullets whizzed by her as the Holy Lance was being used.

To everyone present, the scene was incredibly comical. Vayne stood there motionless, while Lucian stood slightly to her left, unleashing his ultimate, not even hitting her.

Almost everyone felt Lucian's helplessness at being oppressed, knowing it was pointless to attack Vayne, who would have dodged with a single Q.

Even more infuriating was that, seeing the three archers behind her about to be killed, Vayne, after confirming she could safely take the opponent's ultimate, proactively moved to the left, using her body to block his ultimate.

Isn't that infuriating?

When others used Lucian's ultimate, the opponent would quickly move out of the way, but this one, even though the opponent had stopped attacking her, still took the bullet.

This was infuriating, so pretentious.

Vayne had managed to eliminate Lucian's few remaining kills, killing three of his minions.

Han Fei was nearly furious, his face reddening. He wanted to stand up and yell, "How dare you, you idiot! I'm not even going to hit you, and you're still taking the bullet? How can you be so ruthless?"

Haven't you heard of leaving a way out for the future?

Fuck!

If he'd met someone with a bad temper, they'd probably just start a real fight.

This was intolerable.

But Han Fei endured it, after all, he always considered himself an esports player.

Lucian reluctantly used his Q/W, gathered a minion, retreated a few steps to the tower, and returned to the base.

He bought a 730 Critical Hit Cloak and carried five full bottles of Red Bull.

Vayne pushed the minion into the tower before returning to the base. When she emerged, she had already acquired the Ruined King and the Yellow Cross.

The difference in last-hit had widened to nearly 50, thanks to Lucian's skillful skill placement. Often, a single Q or W could take down two or three minions.

Lucian tried to challenge Vayne, draining some of his health and replenishing some minions, given his high burst damage.

Unable to win in a head-on fight, why not just give him a little slash?

But as soon as he launched a Q, Vayne, like a madman, unleashed her ultimate, Final Moment, and rolled over.

The Ruined King was Vayne's strongest moment; how could she possibly outlast him?

Lucian took a few hits, then was sucked in by the Ruined King again. His health bar was down to less than half, so he used F and flashed to the tower.

Vaine, however, showed no sign of letting him go. Like a mad dog, she also flashed into the tower.

Vaine's powerful pursuit left no one behind. She charged in relentlessly, attacking him through the tower. Lucian had no choice but to counterattack, and both men simultaneously healed.

Seeing himself dying at the edge of life, Lucian used his E to retreat, creating some distance and activating his ultimate, which had just come off cooldown. Countless bullets erupted from his chamber, and the distance allowed Vayne to take more damage from the tower.

It had to be said that this was the wisest decision at the moment.

But he knew that, given his class's health estimation, he was still doomed. Even with his ultimate, Vayne could still withstand two tower hits, while he was afraid a single triple ring would kill him. Vayne's triple ring attack speed was definitely much faster than two tower hits from basic attacks.

He would die first, and that first blood would be hers. He won.

It was over...

He had never thought he would actually lose...

And a crushing defeat...

But to his surprise, Vayne froze in place for a moment, unsure what she was thinking. Then she rolled back, took a hit from the tower, and dodged his ultimate bullets with a small maneuver. With just over 200 health left, she fled out of the tower's range, not intending to kill him.

Han Fei blinked, feeling as if he'd survived a catastrophe. His heart was still pounding, and sweat was already dripping down his forehead, soaking his back.

Did the other party miscalculate?

Was he scared, afraid to fight?

Well, not everyone has the ability to estimate health like he does.

He probably thought he'd die first. With such a huge advantage, he probably wouldn't dare to be reckless.

He could win by playing it safe.

He'd saved his life.

But he was afraid he couldn't escape defeat.

Xia Xin's face was expressionless, staring intently at the computer screen. No one could tell what he was thinking.

The others would only think that Xia Xin had made the right call. If they had just charged into the tower, they wouldn't have known who would die first.

But Vayne's madness had already been deeply imprinted in everyone's minds.

This mad dog, unleashing his ultimate the moment we meet, not even giving me a chance to talk. If enemies meet, at least give them a chance to open their mouths.

After returning to the city, Xia Xin already had a Red Cross of Ruined King and a Lifesteal Staff, while Lucian only had an Infinity Edge and a Critical Hit Cloak.

Xia Xin had over 2,000 more gold than him, practically a single item.

The difference in minion kills was unbearable to watch.

In the network management room, Wang Xue could no longer hide the smile on his face. Xia Xin was currently in a huge advantage. As long as he didn't recklessly play, there was no way he could lose. He believed in Xia Xin's strength, but he was afraid he might be too reckless. Almost all top players have this problem.

Just now, he was nearly killed by a crazy tower dive. His heart was in his throat. He was just one tower attack away from losing. Luckily, he ran away.

Damn it, be careful, damn it! That's my money! If you lose, you have to pay for it. You're so reckless!

"Haha, looks like that 50,000 yuan is easy to come by."

My classmate also laughed, "Congratulations! What are you going to treat me to?"

"Eat... you idiot."

Wang Xue suddenly jumped up mid-sentence, staring at the screen with wide eyes, and couldn't help but curse, "Fuck you!"

Just when everyone thought Vayne was still planning to control the lane, slowly expanding her advantage and slowly killing Lucian,... Vayne went crazy again. While attacking the minions, she suddenly activated her ultimate, rolled into the tower, and pinned Lucian directly against the wall.

Lucian didn't even have a chance to react. He hadn't expected Vayne to be so excited. He was still at full health. Even if he was a stunning beauty, he was well-dressed. He didn't even bother to try and take off a few coats first, but rushed straight for the tower.

Vaine was so confident that she didn't even move. She stood still and attacked, landing the first three rings in two hits, destroying more than half of Lucian's health. The damage was terrifying.

At the same time, Lucian's stun lifted.

He quickly unleashed a series of combos: QAA, EAA, and WAA. The combos flowed seamlessly, without a single pause, on par with Xia Xin's skill and worthy of his title as a prodigy.

Because Xia Xin didn't move, all his skills hit the target.

After completing his combo, Lucian immediately unleashed his ultimate, raining countless bullets down upon Vayne.

Meanwhile, the tower was also attacking her.

With a single click, the words "First Blood" appeared in the center of the screen.

Also, Vayne and Lucian's portraits appeared.

After everyone looked more closely, they finally realized it was Lucian who took first blood. Vayne was dead, while Lucian stood in the center of the screen with just over 100 health remaining, his gun raised in both hands, staring at the sky in confusion.

It was a lucky win; if Vayne had hit him again, he would have been dead.

Most of the newcomers hadn't seen Xia Xin's Lucian combo yesterday, and were stunned by Han Fei's.

"That was so fast, did you see it clearly?"

"No, I just saw two flashes of light, and then Lucian activated his ultimate, and Vayne's health bar plummeted to the bottom."

"Damn, he's a true genius, even with that."

"Yeah, no wonder he won the high school league championship. Holy shit, that combo was so cool! Six basic attacks in one second, and three skills! Holy shit."

"That hand speed is incredible!"

No one cared about the process; only the ending mattered. Especially with a comeback like this, it was all the more thrilling. Everyone was captivated by Lucian's final, desperate counterattack.

"Vayne was too arrogant."

"Exactly. So arrogant! He went into the tower at full health, with no defensive gear, and Lucian instantly killed him."

"Lucian was so awesome! Damn! I need to practice harder, so I can go pick up some girls."

"You're such a pig's trotter! It'll probably take you 10 years."

"Fuck you! I'm not the type of guy whose handsomeness isn't obvious."

If nothing unexpected happens, this internet cafe will have a brief Lucian craze.

Xia Xin stood up with a blank expression. "I lost."

He shook his head with some regret. "What a shame! If only I could have landed one more attack. I was just one away. You win."

Xia Xin extended his hand to Han Fei.

Han Fei, with a lingering look of fear, reached out and shook hands with Xia Xin. He was still a little bewildered. The opponent had been too arrogant, underestimating Lucian's burst. He hadn't even bothered to move, instead just standing under the tower and attacking. Of course, he was probably just lucky, landing a few critical hits. Infinity Edge's 250% critical damage wasn't meant to be taken lightly, otherwise he probably wouldn't have been able to kill him.

There was a certain element of luck involved in his victory.

"Thank you, you're really strong."

Han Fei wiped the sweat from his forehead and held out his hand. His already messy hair looked even uglier with the sweat.

"Thank you, the money is yours. See you next time."

Xia Xin said, and walked out.

In the network management office, Wang Xue was furious. He had the 50,000 yuan practically right in front of him, within reach, yet he watched him slip away.

With a stern expression, he said, "Damn it! I'm going to have someone break one of his arms so you can't fucking mess around anymore."

No, this idiot can still be used. He's about to graduate from high school, and he can work for me, be a slave, and make a lot of money. I can't turn against him now.

But... he couldn't swallow this.

While he was thinking, Xia Xin had already walked into the network management office and said sincerely, "Brother Wang, I'm so sorry. I messed around again and let you down."
