Thane's face was a mask of intense focus and concentration as sweat dripped onto the floor beneath him, joining the puddle that had already formed. After crafting his elder staff and spell blades for Luna, Rose, and Daphne Thane made one more formation with a very specific purpose in mind. While Thane had invested a great deal of time into training his magic, he realized that he had let his physical training fall to the wayside. It wasn't that Thane had stopped working out completely, but he no longer pushed his boundaries in an attempt to grow stronger. Thane assumed that his enhanced strength after awakening his draconic soul and bloodline was the limit of what he could achieve. How wrong he had been.

The moment Thane began to train in earnest once more he saw immediate improvements across the board. He was stronger, faster, and could go longer before tiring. Thane's musculature changed as well, however instead of growing in volume Thane's muscles slimmed down losing some of their bulk but becoming more defined. Similarly, while Thane had been rather lean, to begin with, fat simply seemed to melt off his body making his muscles and vasculature stand out even more.

All of these signs should have pointed to Thane losing strength but that wasn't the case. At first, Thane ignored the anomaly simply happy to be getting stronger, until he sat down for breakfast one morning and felt the bench bent underneath him. Thane quickly measured his weight and was astonished to find that he clocked in at nearly two hundred fifty pounds while looking like he weighed fifty pounds lighter standing at 6'3.

After investigating further Thane realized that while his muscles lost volume they gained density, causing his increase in weight even as he slimmed down. Upon this discovery, Thane didn't feel any particular way about it, until he realized one other effect of his body's transformation.

Going from the bulky and stout build of a strongman to the lean and shredded physique of a bodybuilder or a dancer Thane noticed his overall body awareness and mobility. His every movement was executed with grace and fluidity, sometime Thane felt as if he were gliding across the ground instead of trampling across it. His footsteps barely made any noise or kicked up any dust.

Thane decided to train both aspects of his newfound physic, both strength and agility, which is why he was currently holding himself aloft with on-hand balancing as the formation underneath him increased the ambient gravity by a factor of x1.5.

With a heavy exhale Thane bent his elbow pressing his entire body weight under increased gravity all while constantly flexing his core to keep himself upright. Thane's shoulders burned hotter than any fire, and even his legs shook from the strain of keeping them together and pointed like an arrow.

When Thane reached the end of the press he carefully transferred his weight over to his other hand before pushing himself back up with a grunt of effort with more sweat dripping onto the ground.

Before Thane could attempt another press he felt a fluctuation of magic coming from the room of requirement, someone was trying to find their way inside. Thane frowned and extended his magical sense wondering who had stumbled upon the hidden space, only for his eyebrow to shoot up as he realized it wasn't a person.

"You can let her in," Thane muttered out loud, and a second later a ghostly figure shot through the wall as if they had tried to throw themselves at the door only for it to swing open on them.

"WAHH!" Myrtle exclaimed as she pinwheeled through the air before eventually gaining control of herself.

"Myrtle, don't tell me that someone's released the Basilisk again?" Thane asked jokingly as he stood upright and turned off the ritual.

"N-no, it's those same three again they were messing with some potion and...." Myrtle started to explain only to trail off as her eyes moved down from my eyes to my naked torso, "Oh mama."

Thane rolled his eyes before snapping his fingers in front of Myrtle, "You were saying?"

"Huh? Oh, right the potion, the two boys took it and they started transforming into two uglier boys, but the girl," Myrtle shrugged, "I actually don't know what happened to her, but she went into one of the stalls and started crying so it couldn't have been good."

Thane frowned, "I should probably go check it out but first...how did you find me in here?"

"Well, you give off this menacing aura so I just followed it back to the source, though for some reason you were inside the castle walls." Myrtle explained before looking around the Room of Requirement, "Speaking of, what is this place? I thought I had explored every part of the castle by now."

"I can explain it to you later," Thane replied before waving his hand, casting a cleansing spell on himself before pulling on his robes that he had set aside earlier, "But right now there are more pressing matters."

Walking into the bathroom Thane could already hear the faint sound of Hermione crying and a second later he saw Ron and Harry morphed into Crabbe and Goyle respectively, "Hello boys."

Harry and Ron whipped around to stare at Thane who couldn't help but shake his head at the ridiculousness of the situation, "Thane, what are you doing here?!"

"A ghost told me you might be having some potion trouble so I'm here to help," Thane replied as he walked over only for Ron and Harry to bar his way standing in front of the stall door where Hermione continued to cry.

Thane sighed, "Do we have to go through the whole back and forth this time around, I'm already exhausted enough and am in no mood to waste time. So you would please kindly move to the side."

Ron opened his mouth to object but Harry held out his hand and the two of them exchanged a look. A second later they both stepped aside, "Thank you."

Walking up to the wooden door Thane cleared his throat before knocking, "Hermione are you alright?"

"T-thane is that you?" Hermione asked her voice unusually soft and vulnerable.

"Yes," Thane replied curtly, "Now are you going to open the door or do I need to burn it to ashes?"

"Go away!" Hermione howled back only for Thane to tsk, "That wasn't an answer."

Hermione was silent for a second before a muffled response came through, "Do you promise not to laugh?"

Thane blinked not expecting such a question, "If that's what it takes I promise, though honestly how bad can it be-"

Thane's sentence was cut off as the stall door suddenly swung open revealing Hermione in all of her calico glory. For a moment his mind came to a screeching halt as he tried to contemplate what he was seeing. Thane then bit back his reply not wanting to worsen the already embarrassing situation. Unfortunately, not everyone had the same sense of decorum.

"OH MY GOD!" Ron gasped as he stared at Hermione, "SHE'S A CAT!"
