Kuroko no Basket: Honored One

Chapter 210: Clash of Titans

"Next up, wearing number 6 for Rakuzan—Reo Mibuchi, nicknamed 'Yasha,' one of the best sharpshooters in the nation!"

"He's a member of the Uncrowned Kings and Rakuzan's starting shooting guard. This year, he's also the top three-point scorer in the entire national tournament!"

Since Midorima's early elimination, Mibuchi had taken the top spot in three-point shooting.

He waved to the crowd with a composed smile—graceful and poised.

"And now, making his entrance—Kirisaki Daiichi's vice-captain, Hanamiya Makoto, one of the nation's best point guards!"

"He, too, is one of the Uncrowned Kings. Nicknamed 'The Delinquent,' he's a genius with an IQ of 160 and currently ranks third in steals during this year's national tournament!"

The crowd erupted into cheers.

No one looked down on that third-place ranking. After all, the top two in steals were Tendou and Akashi, both on the court today.

Fans had gotten used to separating the Generation of Miracles from all other players—they were simply on a different level.

The two teams' introductions were as grand as expected.

Just hearing the names gave you chills.

Yasha, Gang Strength, Thunder Beast, The Delinquent...

Just among the Uncrowned Kings, four had gathered for this game—only Kiyoshi Teppei was missing to complete the full set.

As a whole, it aligned with what fans had predicted.

Rakuzan's lineup was clearly stronger than Kirisaki Daiichi's on paper.

But none of that was the main event.

"Now please welcome number 4 from Rakuzan—Teikō's former vice-captain, the Generation of Miracles' point guard—Akashi Seijūrō!"

There was no need to call him "the strongest."

Just the title "Generation of Miracles" carried more weight than any accolade.

And the DJ wasn't done.

He added that Akashi was the sole heir of the Akashi conglomerate, trained since childhood as the next leader of a powerful family.

The aura of nobility around him deepened.

The kind of person who, if he didn't play basketball well, would simply go home and inherit hundreds of billions.

Akashi paid no mind to the cheers.

He walked calmly to the scorers' table, then stepped onto the court with composed elegance.

Dignified. Graceful. Commanding.

He exuded an innate, unshakable nobility.

"And now… making his entrance for Kirisaki Daiichi… wearing number 14…"

The DJ took a dramatic pause—then took a deep breath and bellowed:

"The captain of the Generation of Miracles!

The strongest high school player in the nation!

A rising star in the modeling world!

A national heartthrob—Tendou Kageyoshi!!"

The arena exploded.

Tendou's fans—"The Tendou Faithful"—screamed as if their lives depended on it.

"Your teammates really are something else."

"Seriously. Even if you forget about basketball, those two are like gods among men."

From the stands, Seirin's players watched the two centers of attention on the court.

Unlike Akashi's composed grace, Tendou radiated pure confidence—so confident it bordered on arrogance.

It matched his flamboyant personality perfectly.

The only thing the two had in common was their equally overwhelming presence.

"No matter the field, the two of them are always at the top."

A strange feeling lingered in the air.

Even Seirin felt it—like this final between Tendou and Akashi was always meant to happen.

No one else was more suited to stand on this stage.

"The day has finally come. Just as I predicted, the one I'd face in the end… was always going to be you, Kageyoshi."

The two teams finished introductions.

Standing across the center line, Akashi and Tendou locked eyes.

"Don't get it twisted, Akashi. You're the one who's in my way."

The others stayed silent, all watching their respective leaders.

Their conversation seemed casual on the surface— but to the other eight players, it was a fierce tug-of-war for psychological dominance.

"Then let me see your basketball, Kageyoshi."

Akashi didn't argue further.

It was time to prove everything on the court.

Even the referee had forgotten to start the game—stunned by the clash of their sheer presence.

"…What's with these two brats? Their aura is stronger than most pro players."

He wiped non-existent sweat from his forehead, then finally blew the whistle.

Akashi stepped back, giving the tipoff to Nebuya Eikichi.

But Tendou didn't move—he stepped forward and stood right in front of Nebuya.

"Tendou's jumping for the ball?"

"Wait… seriously?"

While Tendou had the best vertical leap on Kirisaki Daiichi and had played center before— those were special cases. Usually, he left tipoffs to others.

Which meant—he was taking this match very seriously.

Kise, Murasakibara, Aomine, and Midorima were all watching from the stands, eyes fixed on the court.

Pop!

Tendou won the tip easily—Nebuya couldn't match his power.

"Damn, those muscles…"

Nebuya blamed his loss on lacking muscle mass— a natural reaction for someone whose brain ran on protein and biceps.

He still remembered how Tendou had stood toe-to-toe with Murasakibara during their match.

That performance had made his blood boil—he had desperately wanted to challenge Tendou himself.

Until his teammates beat him down and reminded him of his place.

Turns out, they were right.

Tendou had destroyed him completely.

The ball was swatted toward Hanamiya, who was ready and waiting.

But just as he caught it—

Smack!

A hand shot in from the side and slapped the ball away.

Hanamiya looked up, shocked—Akashi had somehow appeared right in front of him.

"Don't think that's your special privilege, Kageyoshi."

He didn't even acknowledge Hanamiya—his eyes had already shifted to Tendou as he sped toward Kirisaki Daiichi's paint.

The match had officially begun—

The atmosphere in the arena was electric.

"Damn… neither of them's willing to take a single step back."

Tendou made the first move—Akashi immediately struck back.

Every possession, they clashed.

Akashi stormed down the court, completely abandoning his usual "passive" playing style.

This time, he came out swinging—aggressive and assertive.

"Outta the way!"

"Why should I?"

Kazuya Hara and Hiroshi Yamazaki stepped in to block him—like twin towers at the rim.

"You'll move."

Boom.

Akashi's gaze remained emotionless as he surged forward without hesitation.

Unlike Tendou's lightning-fast crossovers, Akashi moved with a flawless rhythm— one that drew defenders in.

Hara and Yamazaki instinctively reacted— but within seconds, they found themselves dropping to their knees.

Eyes wide, they felt an eerie sense of déjà vu— the same feeling they'd get when Tendou toyed with them in practice.

"Remember— my commands are absolute."

Akashi broke through both defenders in a single breath, blowing past the three-point line and charging toward the rim.

But just as he rose for a layup—

A shadow emerged.

A black-clad monster appeared in his path.

Akashi's pupils contracted.

His Emperor Eye flared—he saw it clearly.

Tendou's hand shot in from the side—

"Dismantle."
