Chapter 134: Chapter 134: Madara's Fist of Judgment
Finally, Tobirama took a deep breath, barely regaining his composure. Looking at his brother and sister-in-law with a stern gaze, he asked seriously:
"Explain to me what's going on. Why did this Uchiha boy resurrect me? And what exactly did Danzō do to Hiruzen? Tell me everything that happened after my death."
He sensed something serious lurking beneath it all. He needed to understand the true reasons behind it.
"Uh... of course!" Hashirama chuckled awkwardly, then nodded as his expression turned grave.
Together with Uzumaki Mito, they began recounting to Tobirama the events that had unfolded in Konohagakure and the shinobi world since his passing: how his beloved students gradually empowered the Sarutobi and Shimura clans, exploiting the village's resources to fortify their influence. How other clans were suppressed, manipulated, or betrayed—conspiring with enemies in battlefields for their own gain.
They spared no details, exposing the full extent of his students' crimes.
With every word, Tobirama's rage grew. His hands clenched with fury, and his eyes burned with disbelief.
"Damn it! They deserve death! I never taught them any of this! I believed Hiruzen had the heart to be a good Hokage!"
"Why... why was he the most cunning and treacherous of them all?" Tobirama spat bitterly. "Even Danzō acted openly! He's rotten too, but at least he didn't hide it."
"'My student is good,' I said—what a fool I was," he muttered bitterly.
He hadn't expected this. It turned out he had been wrong about them from the start. But nothing pained him more than learning about the current state of the Senju clan.
Yes, it had been his decision to integrate the Senju side branches into the civilian population to foster unity, eliminate clan barriers, and prepare for the future integration of all shinobi families.
But he never intended for the main bloodline of the Senju clan to be dissolved. That was unthinkable.
And yet—his "favorite" students had targeted the clan of their own teacher, tearing it down until there was nothing left. Even the once-mighty Uzumaki clan had nearly vanished.
Meanwhile, clans like the Sarutobi and Shimura had flourished over the decades.
"Damn it! Those bastards deserve death!" Tobirama seethed. "How could I have misjudged them so badly?"
His gaze turned sharp.
"By the way, where's Kagami? Where is Uchiha Kagami? I entrusted him to balance Hiruzen and the others... to oversee the Uchiha's integration into the village! Was that another failure?"
In his anger, Tobirama began, once again, to blame the Uchiha.
It infuriated him that the Uchiha were now thriving more than they had during his own rule, while the Senju were reduced to a whisper of their former glory.
Gin looked at him with disdain and silently produced a test tube containing a pair of Sharingan.
"Behold," he said coldly. "Here they are."
"Your precious student Danzō killed him—long ago. These are Uchiha Kagami's eyes. I took them from Danzō myself. So, tell me: do you still want to pin all the blame on the Uchiha clan?"
Gin's eyes narrowed. "What kind of man are you, really? Still trying to twist the truth at a time like this?"
Tobirama's pupils contracted. He stared at the test tube, then at Danzō. The sensation of the chakra within was unmistakable—these were indeed Kagami's eyes.
He turned toward Hashirama and Mito, his voice trembling.
"Is what he said... true?"
"How could it not be?" Mito snapped, her expression thunderous. "I told you already! And didn't you know Kagami's character? How could someone as naive and kind-hearted as him possibly outmaneuver Hiruzen and Danzō? Especially when you were the one who planted the idea in their minds that the Uchiha were a threat?"
Perhaps Tobirama had been naive after all.
"I... I... uh," he stammered, unable to bear the weight of Mito's rebuke. Finally, he exhaled deeply, acknowledging his failure.
He turned to Gin and bowed his head.
"Young man, I was wrong. I apologize. I admit I treated the Uchiha with suspicion and hostility—remnants of old hatred I couldn't fully abandon. But as Hokage, even while I tried to weaken them, my ultimate goal was to bring them into Konoha's fold for the greater good. There was no malice—this I swear. I simply never imagined Hiruzen and Danzō would turn out this way."
"Heh," Madara snorted, cutting Gin off before he could respond. "No malice, you say? Spare me, Tobirama! Ever since you gave us the Military Police to isolate us, your schemes against the Uchiha never stopped. And what about your 'theory' that we're a threat? Didn't you teach your students to hate us?"
Madara's voice was rising.
"You talk of hatred? Then we all should hate you! If not for your ambush, my brother might still be alive! If not for you, the Uchiha wouldn't have been oppressed in Konoha, shut out from ever becoming Hokage!"
"Wasn't it agreed, at the founding of the village, that the major clans would take turns in leading it? Did you honor that promise? You did everything you could to suppress us while calling it 'integration.' What a joke."
Tobirama's expression darkened. He glared at Madara, fury boiling within.
"What?" Madara sneered, noticing the look. "Want to fight? Kill me? If my power weren't 99% sealed, I'd have destroyed you already!"
At that, Tobirama's eyes narrowed—and he lunged at Madara.
BAM!
The two legends crashed into the ground, fists flying. But Tobirama was tightly sealed—just an experienced brawler now without chakra. Meanwhile, Madara still had some chakra left.
It didn't take long for Madara to gain the upper hand. Soon, he was thrashing Tobirama mercilessly in a one-sided beatdown.
Gin and the Uchiha watched with quiet satisfaction. Even Hashirama and Mito stood by without intervening, simply observing the clash of titans.
It was, after all, Uchiha Madara vs. Tobirama Senju—a legendary showdown. Who could look away?
Even the immobilized Danzō shifted his eyes, eager not to miss a second.
Only after ten minutes of savage beatings—Tobirama's body broken several times—did Hashirama finally step in.
"Okay, that's enough. Madara, stop."
"Haha!" Madara stepped back, arms spread wide, grinning with smug satisfaction. "I've been dreaming of this moment for years!"
"You...!" Tobirama gasped, coughing up blood as he turned to Hashirama. "Brother! You stood by and watched me get beaten! Did you plan this?"
"Yes," Hashirama said bluntly. "And it's not enough. When we get back, I might give you a few beatings myself to let off steam."
He grew serious.
"Who allowed your students to destroy Konoha's foundation? Do you even realize that if not for the Uchiha, the Senju clan would be extinct? The Uzumaki too. And all because of your students. So tell me—don't you deserve punishment?"
Hashirama's eyes narrowed. Tobirama, who moments ago was filled with rage, suddenly found himself speechless. He couldn't deny a word.
"So you resurrected me just to laugh at me and beat me up?" he asked, deflecting.
"Of course not," Hashirama replied. "Gin will soon be the Fourth Hokage. A public trial will be held for Hiruzen, Danzō, and the rest. You were revived to testify and help with their judgment."
"Besides," he added, "Gin respects your research abilities. He wants you to head a new research division in the village. I think it's a good idea—everyone should use their talents. I've even been assigned construction duties!"
It was humiliating, but for Konoha's sake, Tobirama could accept it. He knew Gin wouldn't let him return to the afterlife easily—and if Mito got involved, he'd definitely be convinced to stay.
"Eh?" Tobirama blinked at the boy. "He's the one who revived me? A child?"
The situation had changed far more than he imagined.
"What's with that tone?" said a stern female voice. Tobirama turned and saw a striking woman—arms crossed, a confident smirk on her face. "So what if he's Uchiha? Or do you still think the Uchiha are unfit for Hokage?"
The sheer pressure from her aura made Tobirama instinctively take two steps back, hiding behind his brother.
"Uh... eh-heh..." he muttered, avoiding eye contact. "Since this is the will of the people, I—who am already dead—have no objections."
He had no choice but to concede.
But inside, he was shaken. "How did this woman become younger and more powerful? She reminds me of my brother in his prime... terrifying."
Something had changed within the Uchiha clan in recent years. According to Mito and Hashirama, it began three years ago.
If not for the Uchiha, the Senju would be gone. Mito might be dead. And the Uchiha clan itself was saved from extinction.
Konoha would've become Hiruzen's private kingdom, drained for the benefit of the Sarutobi. Just imagining it made Tobirama shiver.
Luckily, things changed. "And the root of it all... must be this Uchiha Gin," he thought. If he couldn't recognize Gin as the catalyst, he had no right to be called Second Hokage.
His interest in Gin grew. "Maybe I should stay in the living world... watch where he leads the village. If he fails, I can always intervene later."
"I'll take the position in the research division," Tobirama added flatly.
"Hmph." Hikari snorted. "Glad you agreed. I know you have your own thoughts, but we don't care. My son Gin doesn't care either—as long as you do your job."
In the end, Tobirama was now just a tool in Gin's hands. Since he had bowed his head, there was no need to press further.
"Oh? Uchiha Gin is your son?" Tobirama looked at Hikari in disbelief.
"Of course," she said with a proud smile. "What did you expect? Impressed?"
"Uh... yeah, impressive," Tobirama forced a smile, while crying internally: Damn! That crazy woman is his mother?! No wonder she got younger and stronger—he clearly helped her! But... why did Mito also get younger? And her chakra is terrifying!
His eyes shifted toward Mito.
As if reading his thoughts, Mito gave him a mysterious smile.
Tobirama had a bad feeling. His brother and Mito weren't telling him everything.
"All right! Let's move out!" Gin clapped, calling everyone's attention. "Leave Danzō here. Have your fun. Take your revenge!"
"No seals."
With that, he turned to Hashirama, Mito, Madara, his mother, and Tobirama—and teleported them all away using the Flying Thunder God.
At the same moment, Danzō's restraints were released. He could move again, though his chakra remained sealed, and his physical strength reduced to that of a normal man.
"Oh! Thank you, Lord Gin!"
"What are we waiting for? It's Danzō!"
"Kill him!"
"Let me at him!"
"Maybe toss him in a sewage pit?"
"Hmm... not a bad idea—but I don't want to get dirty."
"Let's hold off for now," one Uchiha said. "Gin must still have use for him. Let's wait for his orders."
"Yeah, fair enough."
The crowd murmured in agreement.
