Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Full Score Answer Sheet! Ninjutsu Test!

Morkel never expected to find any clues and couldn't help but doubt his own identity.

He had believed he was just an ordinary, weak ninja after traveling through time and space. But now, it seemed that this body carried extraordinary blood?!

As the students chattered enthusiastically, Iruka-sensei walked in with a stack of papers.

"Alright, class, stop talking. We're having a test today."

"Another test..."

The students groaned in unison, their enthusiasm deflating like popped balloons.

Iruka ignored the complaints and continued, "The final exams for the Ninja Academy are approaching. I hope you all pass. Practicing for tests is necessary!"

The students had no choice but to accept their fate. The moment the test began, Naruto leaned closer to Morkel.

Morkel had struggled with ninjutsu in his early years, but he had always excelled in academic subjects. Because of this, he had helped Naruto get by many times before.

"Morkel, I'm counting on you again this time," Naruto whispered, pleading.

"No, do it yourself. I can help you now, but what about the final exam?" Morkel firmly refused.

The one who had helped Naruto in the past was the original owner of this body. But now, Morkel couldn't allow that to continue.

As a ninja, it was essential to master ninjutsu knowledge. Even if Naruto somehow passed this test, what would he do in a real battle?

Morkel didn't want Naruto to one day die on the battlefield because of his lack of basic knowledge.

"Morkel, my good brother, only you can help me now." Naruto begged, pressing his hands together.

For him, studying was far worse than training in ninjutsu.

"I'll help you just this once. After today, I swear I'll study seriously." Naruto tried to persuade him further.

But Morkel was like a rock—unmoved.

Even Iruka eventually lost patience and scolded, "Naruto! Why are you always pestering Morkel? Are you trying to cheat?!"

Naruto straightened his back, pretending to be righteous. "No… No way! How could I cheat?!"

Morkel sighed and covered his face. It was too embarrassing to watch.

The exam proceeded as planned.

The students bent over their makeshift wooden tables, concentrating on their writing.

Less than twenty minutes after the test papers were distributed, Morkel stood up and handed in his paper.

"Already finished?" Iruka asked, surprised.

Morkel had always been strong in academics and had a habit of turning in his papers early. But this was the first time he had submitted it within half an hour.

"Yes, sensei. Please check it."

Iruka looked down at Morkel's paper, and his expression quickly changed from surprise to amazement.

Morkel had answered all the ninjutsu knowledge questions correctly. But what truly stood out was the last free-response question.

His answer was not only clear and concise, but he had also provided unique insights and observations. He cited various examples, made logical arguments, and even used elegant phrasing that far surpassed the level of an average student.

Since Iruka started teaching, he had seen many talented students. But this was the first time he had encountered such a perfect answer in such a short amount of time.

Morkel had achieved an absolutely flawless response!

Seeing Iruka's delighted expression, Morkel felt secretly proud.

As someone trained in an exam-oriented education system on Earth, Morkel had his own strategies for handling tests. Plus, the original owner of his body had a solid foundation. It was no challenge for him to complete the exam with top marks in such a short time.

"Morkel, you did an excellent job," Iruka praised.

But then he remembered the Third Hokage's advice not to let Morkel get too complacent. So he quickly added, "But there was a student in the next class who finished in under fifteen minutes—and got everything correct."

"Morkel, don't get cocky. Keep working hard."

"Don't worry, Sensei. I've been focusing on my ninjutsu training, but I won't fall behind in academics," Morkel assured him confidently.

In reality, Morkel had completed the test in ten minutes but had deliberately waited before submitting it to avoid drawing too much attention.

Iruka nodded, satisfied.

Morkel was not only talented but also hardworking. With such potential, even the Third Hokage had taken an interest in him.

"Alright, there are no classes this afternoon. Since you're done, you can leave early."

Morkel thanked him and walked out with a light heart.

Meanwhile, Naruto was still struggling.

Without Morkel beside him, he was overwhelmed by the test questions. He scratched his head, sweat pouring down his face.

Iruka sighed. "Naruto, I'm really going to give you a zero."

Naruto shrank back in fear but couldn't do anything about it. He sat there restlessly, looking around for inspiration.

---

Morkel wasn't in a rush to go home. The aftermath of the Tree World's Birth was still ongoing. To avoid feeling uneasy, he created shadow clones to assist with the village's reconstruction efforts.

Meanwhile, his real body remained at home, focused on training his ninjutsu.

By dusk, Naruto finally returned, his face dark with frustration.

"Morkel, Iruka-sensei gave me a zero because I turned in a blank paper!"

He stormed into the courtyard but paused when he saw Morkel sitting cross-legged, practicing a strange ninjutsu.

"What are you doing?" Naruto asked curiously.

Hearing Naruto's voice, Morkel snapped out of his focus. He tossed a kunai to Naruto and explained, "While helping with the village's reconstruction, I started wondering if there was a way to move quickly and transport scrap wood out of the area more efficiently."

"And? Did you come up with something?" Naruto inspected the kunai, noticing a tree-shaped mark carved into it.

Just as he was about to ask about the mark, Morkel continued, "With that in mind, I developed a jutsu. As long as I leave my chakra mark somewhere, I can teleport there at any time."

"That kunai in your hand now carries my chakra mark."

Naruto swallowed nervously. It sounded confusing, but also incredibly powerful.

Morkel's eyes gleamed with excitement. "This ninjutsu is still experimental. I need to test it. Hold onto that kunai—I'm going to try teleporting."

Naruto nodded enthusiastically.

If this jutsu worked, they would never have to rush to school again! No more worrying about being late!

As Naruto clutched the kunai, Morkel formed a seal.

Then—

Swish!

Morkel's body vanished instantly.

Naruto's eyes widened in shock.

The kunai in his hand suddenly felt heavier.

When he turned his head, he saw that Morkel had appeared—right on top of his wrist!

BANG!

Morkel crashed to the ground with a loud thud.

It sounded painful.

But despite that, he looked exhilarated.

"It worked!" he exclaimed. "I just need to refine the precision. If I can control the exact landing point, this jutsu will be perfect!"

Naruto, still in awe, grinned widely. "So… we won't have to worry about being late to school anymore?!"

The thought of sleeping in until the last possible minute made Naruto's heart soar.

Morkel chuckled. "Yeah, if I perfect it, we'll never be late again."

Naruto's excitement reached new heights. "Morkel, you're a genius! This is the best jutsu ever!"

And with that, the two boys laughed under the setting sun, eager for the future ahead.
