Chapter 9: Soul Recovery
-----
"That's great! Congratulations, Mom!"
Uchiha Kaito smiled brightly upon hearing the news. This was the best outcome he could hope for.
"As for the issue with the soul's Essence, we can figure that out later."
"By the way, Mom, does the clan have any meditation techniques to enhance mental or spiritual strength? Even Yin Release techniques would work."
Uchiha Kaito asked this earnestly.
With his Heaven Rewards Diligence talent, even if the current ninja world and the One Piece world lacked complete methods for spiritual cultivation, he was confident. As long as he had even partial or flawed techniques, he believed he could break through limits and innovate a genuine method for cultivating spiritual and soul strength.
If that happened, restoring Uchiha Jiri's damaged soul Essence wouldn't be a problem anymore.
Not at all!
He might even use this to optimize the Sharingan awakening process, or perhaps even develop complete training methods for the Mangekyo Sharingan, Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, and the Rinnegan.
"About that..."
Uchiha Jiri frowned slightly. "There are indeed meditation techniques for improving mental strength and practicing Yin Release, but the effects aren't particularly impressive. They require consistent, long-term practice. Do you want them?"
She guessed that her son might have a plan to use these techniques to create a method for enhancing mental power or even restoring soul Essence. The inheritance from the Sage was clearly far more profound than she initially thought.
"I do!"
Uchiha Kaito nodded eagerly. "As long as it's effective, I can work on improving it further."
"Once it's perfected, there might even be a way to actively accelerate the recovery of your soul's Essence!"
"Alright!"
Uchiha Jiri was touched by his determination. She nodded softly and said, "I'll return home later to fetch it for you.
"But remember to take care of yourself. Don't push too hard—take it slow. My health has improved significantly, and I'll live for quite some time. You don't have to overwork yourself!"
"No matter what terrible future you've seen, know that I'll always be here. I'm your eternal support, ready to shield you from any storm."
Hearing her earnest tone and seeing her sincere expression, Kaito felt warmth in his heart. He smiled gently and nodded. "I understand, Mom."
"But how did you know I have knowledge about the future?"
"Heh!"
Jiri chuckled and playfully tapped his forehead with a finger. "You underestimate your mom? You didn't hide it well enough earlier. I could guess bits and pieces."
"So, what's the future of the Uchiha clan and the ninja world like? Why are you so desperate to save my life and grow stronger? Tell me."
She wanted to understand not only to ease her son's burden but also to prepare and plan ahead. She had always preferred calculated moves over fighting uncertain battles.
"Alright," Kaito said after a moment of silence. He asked his mother to set up a soundproof barrier in the room.
Then, he explained everything he knew about the future, detailing the Uchiha clan's destruction in the 55th year of the Hidden Leaf's founding under pressure from Sarutobi Hiruzen and Danzo, as well as the events of the Second, Third, and Fourth Ninja Wars. He even revealed information about Uchiha Madara still being alive, Black Zetsu's centuries-long scheming, Otsutsuki Kaguya, the Sage of Six Paths, and the Otsutsuki clan.
He left nothing out, telling his mother everything.
After all, Uchiha Jiri was someone he trusted completely. Her affection for him, quantified at 100 points (only because it's the limit), was unwavering and unchanging from the moment he bound the dimensional gate. He had no reason to worry about her betraying him.
"Unbelievable! So that's how the future unfolds!"
Uchiha Jiri's brows knitted tightly as she processed his revelations.
"Not only is Madara still alive and stirring up chaos, but there's also Black Zetsu, a schemer who's been plotting for a thousand years. And even extraterrestrial threats like the Otsutsuki clan and people like the Sage of Six Paths appear?"
"No wonder you're under so much pressure. With the power levels of those entities, the current strength of myself and the entire ninja world is completely inadequate."
"But it's not all bad—we still have time and the resources from the One Piece world."
"In the future, I'm confident I can grow strong enough to rival or even surpass Madara Uchiha."
"So don't worry too much. We'll tackle this together."
Her confidence stemmed from their unique advantages. Without the One Piece world's resources or Kaito's special abilities, she might have felt hopeless. But with their combined strengths, there was nothing to fear.
"Right!"
Kaito smiled warmly. "I've always had confidence, but the urgency and pressure can be overwhelming at times. Still, I've never doubted our success."
"If worst comes to worst, we can hide in the One Piece world and bide our time until we're ready to fight back. Since the day I awakened the dimensional gate talent, we've been undefeated."
"Haha, well said!"
Jiri smiled as well, her heart lightened. "Looks like my comforting words weren't needed. You've got things figured out, Kaito!"
"Now, about Hiruzen and Danzo..."
Her expression darkened. "I never imagined they'd go to such lengths in the future. Fine. Very fine!"
"I was too cautious and lenient in the past because I thought I wouldn't live long and wanted to ensure the Uchiha clan's future. But now, everything has changed."
"In the future, I'll make them pay dearly. They want to destroy the Uchiha clan? Then I'll annihilate the Sarutobi and Shimura clans! Hmph!"
Her resolve was palpable. She wasn't one to sit back and wait for disaster—she preferred taking the initiative.
"Mom, you're amazing!"
Kaito gave her a thumbs-up, his admiration genuine. Having such a strong mother was a great comfort.
"Hehe!"
Jiri smiled warmly, ruffling her son's hair. "Leave it to me. I'll handle it. Of course, if you have any ideas, feel free to share, and we'll plan together."
"Absolutely!" Kaito nodded eagerly.
Then, Jiri's tone shifted again, her expression souring. "As for Uchiha Itachi ... that boy has completely fallen for Sarutobi Hiruzen's brainwashing. To think he would personally slaughter the entire clan! His mind must be broken!"
"Exactly!" Kaito agreed vehemently. "But it's not entirely Itachi's fault. Uchiha Fugaku bears a lot of the responsibility too!"
"Dragging a three- or four-year-old Itachi to the battlefield under the guise of teaching him the horrors of war? What kind of lunacy is that?"
"He set Itachi on the wrong path from the start! And later, his constant appeasement of Hiruzen and his policies only pushed the Uchiha clan further into despair. He was completely unfit to be the clan leader."
"And honestly, he doesn't deserve sister Mikoto either!"
