Konoha: Starting the Game as Yoriichi

Chapter 83: Chapter 83

Several days later, news of the Konoha Crush, the Third Hokage's death in battle, and Danzo's demise quickly swept through the entire ninja world. Everyone, including the ninja of the great hidden villages, came to remember one name:

Hatake Kusuo.

A sword-wielding monster who far surpassed the White Fang of Konoha. A ruthless individual who, at the mere age of twelve, could single-handedly take on the One-Tailed Shukaku, defeat the renowned S-rank missing-nin Orochimaru, and cut down Danzo. Such an astonishing battle record was rare even in times of war. Today, in the entire ninja world, he was one of a kind.

It was precisely because of his existence that the other hidden villages were deterred from any thoughts of invasion. This was also the reason why Konoha, despite having lost most of its high-end combat power, could remain so stable.

Konoha needed Hatake Kusuo. But Hatake Kusuo did not need Konoha.

This fact was deeply understood by the ANBU and the higher-ups. When Ibiki Morino transmitted what he had seen and heard to his teammates through his interrogation secret arts, Koharu Utatane and Homura Mitokado immediately made a decision: abandon Danzo and stand with Hatake Kusuo.

In the end, the entire incident was peacefully resolved. Konoha had kept Kusuo, gaining a solid guarantee for its safety.

And the originator of all this was currently at home, teasing Hinata. The girl was being teased until her face was completely red, with Hanabi even joining in from the side. The three of them were having a joyous and harmonious time, growing closer and closer. Hinata also seemed to have tacitly accepted the fact that her little sister was always between the two of them, and she accepted it with all her heart.

"What's wrong?" Hinata asked softly, noticing that Kusuo, who was lying on her lap, had zoned out for a moment.

Kusuo gazed at the ceiling, though he was actually looking at his system panel. "It's nothing, just lost in thought for a moment."

The system panel had updated again.

[Current Role-Play Percentage: 99.78%.]

After annihilating almost the entire Root and killing that old undying bastard Danzo, his role-play percentage had skyrocketed. A single day's work had saved him one or two years of hard training. Most importantly, he could now proficiently master all the breathing styles, as if he were born with them. That feeling of wielding sword auras of various different attributes was innate, automatically engraved in his mind.

The system's power was terrifyingly great. Or perhaps, Yoriichi Tsugikuni's talent was just monstrously strong. Without the power ceiling of his original world limiting him, he was like a fish in water in the world of Naruto.

"Then I'll go heat up a tub of water for your bath." Sensing the fatigue of her beloved in her arms, Hinata thoughtfully handed Kusuo over to her little sister, Hanabi, then got up to heat the water.

This was the first time Hanabi had been alone with her brother-in-law. Her heart was both excited and nervous. She secretly glanced at her brother-in-law, who was currently resting with his eyes closed, her heart pounding like a drum, as if it were about to jump out of her chest.

"Ah!" Hanabi let out a small gasp of surprise. What's wrong with me? She touched her face; it was already burning hot, and she fidgeted nervously. "It's all Big Sister's fault... why did she leave me alone with brother-in-law?" As she spoke, her voice became gradually inaudible, yet it carried a trace of secret delight.

She carefully looked at her seemingly asleep brother-in-law, quietly crawled over, and brought her small face close to his. Then, like a little chick pecking at grain, Hanabi quickly pecked him on the cheek, then shot up at light speed, covered her little face, and ran out of the courtyard.

What the hell? My little sister-in-law... kissed me? Kusuo, who had been resting with his eyes closed, was shocked.

Clatter! Hinata dropped the washbasin in her hands. My little sister kissed my boyfriend?

At dinner, the three of them gathered together as usual. There was no strange expression on her brother-in-law's face, nor on her sister's. Little Hanabi pretended to eat the rice in her bowl while secretly observing them. After confirming that her little escapade had not been discovered, she began to eat with gusto, her heart full.

The atmosphere... was truly harmonious...

"Itachi-san, I never thought someone like you would also feel nostalgic for your hometown," Kisame Hoshigaki, with his shark-like face and dead-fish eyes, said with a grin to the person in front of him. They were both wearing the black Akatsuki robes with red clouds, standing on the cliff above the famous Naka River.

"It's nothing. Let's go," Itachi, his head hidden under a straw hat, said without expression. The two of them prepared to leave.

But just then, they ran into Asuma and Kurenai, who were out on patrol.

"It really is you! You dare to come back!" Asuma said, his expression grave as he stared at the figure in front of him. Uchiha Itachi!

"Is this an acquaintance of yours, Itachi-san? Then I suppose I should introduce myself as well," Kisame said, as if not sensing the tense atmosphere from Asuma and Kurenai at all. He slammed his sword, Samehada, down and grinned.

"I know you. Kisame Hoshigaki. S-rank missing-nin from the Hidden Mist Village. Your crimes are assassinating the Daimyo of the Land of Water and attempting to overthrow the Mizukage," Kurenai said, staring at him intently, being the first to identify him.

"I didn't realize I was so famous that people even know me here. I'll be in your care from now on," he said, laughing to himself, completely disregarding the two of them.

"Asuma-san, Kurenai-san, please let us pass. I don't want to kill you," Itachi said, his face with its long tear troughs revealed from under the straw hat, exposed in the sunlight, along with his pair of crimson Sharingan.

"Hmph! Are you saying you can kill us whenever you want?" Asuma's face was ugly. He and Kurenai both took out their kunai, preparing to fight.

Unfortunately, the gap in their strength was too obvious. They were completely suppressed. It wasn't until Kakashi and Guy arrived later that Itachi and Kisame finally left. Kakashi, who had been trapped in the world of Tsukuyomi, was also injured.

Learning of this matter, Kusuo brought a flower basket to the hospital to visit his cousin. Looking at Kakashi's haggard appearance, a thousand thoughts ran through his mind. The Uchiha clan's genjutsu was truly impossible to defend against. If you encountered it without any special means, it was indeed a troublesome matter. Ordinary genjutsu could be broken instantly with a strong breathing method. However, he, who was mastering the Transparent World, didn't even need to look his opponent in the eye. He only needed to observe the changes in their internal blood, muscles, and airflow to control their movements, and even predict them in advance.

The other matter was regarding Itachi's current identity: the Akatsuki. This indicated that the ninja world was about to fall into turmoil. The most famous line from the world of Naruto couldn't help but flash through his mind: "How many floors to carry a bag of rice?" So it's already starting to get active now.

With a sigh, after comforting Kakashi for a bit, he turned and went back home.

Jiraiya had recently returned to the village. To the villagers' regret, he had refused the invitation to become Hokage. Instead, like Kusuo, he had mentioned the other of the Sannin: Princess Tsunade. The former princess of all of Konoha, the granddaughter of the God of Shinobi, Hashirama Senju. Her bloodline was superior, her strength was great, and she was deeply acknowledged by everyone.

At the village's request, Jiraiya agreed to embark on a search for Tsunade. Then, to Kusuo's surprise, Jiraiya's condition was that he take him along. Or rather, take Team 10 along. The village immediately agreed to his request. After all, Kakashi was seriously injured and hospitalized, and the village had been through so many major events recently that they were short on manpower. Asuma naturally shouldered Kakashi's original duties. In this way, it was a natural course of events for Jiraiya to temporarily serve as the jonin instructor for Team 10.

"Brat, hurry up! We're just waiting for you!"

On this day, the members of Team 10 gathered again after a long time. Naruto excitedly hovered around Jiraiya, jumping up and down, while Jiraiya grinned and greeted the distantly approaching Kusuo and Hinata.

"Hello, Jiraiya-sensei," Hinata was the first to greet him respectfully.

"Hello," Kusuo nodded slightly, his arm around Hinata.

Jiraiya's gaze was focused on Kusuo, as if he wanted to see through him, to scan him thoroughly from head to toe. Kusuo stood calmly on the spot, letting him observe, not affected in the slightest.

Suddenly, Jiraiya threw his head back and laughed loudly. "Good kid! To think you could beat that guy Orochimaru, truly unexpected. If I had known earlier, I would have pestered my teacher to take you as his disciple back then." Speaking of his teacher, a trace of loneliness flashed across Jiraiya's face, but he concealed it well. "You did well to kill Danzo. To be young is to be fearless." He clapped Kusuo heavily on the shoulder, nodding with great approval.

Clearly, he was well aware of the previous situation in Konoha. Perhaps this was also the reason why he had always traveled the ninja world, unwilling to serve in the village. In any case, he really liked Kusuo, and the more he looked at him, the more he liked him.

The master and his three disciples chatted for a while. Naruto also expressed how much he had missed them, the hyperactive chatterbox constantly circling around Kusuo, excitedly conveying his admiration for him, waving his hands and feet.

"Just watch! In the future, I will definitely be like you, become a hero of the entire village, and become the Hokage!" Naruto said with his hands on his hips, full of confidence.

Just then, a large fist landed on his head.

"You talk too much. Let's go!" With that, Jiraiya led Kusuo and Hinata ahead.

"Hey!" Naruto shouted from behind, "Wait for me!"

...

Tsunade was currently living in seclusion in a small village, quite a distance from the center of the Land of Fire. They would need to pass through many towns along the way. After traveling for a day, they finally stopped to rest in a small town.

"What's wrong, Kusuo?" Hinata asked, seeing him suddenly stop and observe the town.

Kusuo shook his head. "It's nothing." Then he put his arm around the girl's waist and followed the others. He sighed slightly in his heart.

So we've come here after all. The place where Jiraiya took Naruto to train while searching for Tsunade in the original story.

Here, they would soon encounter the Akatsuki duo who were already after the Nine-Tails.

Uchiha Itachi. And Kisame Hoshigaki.

These two, who were definitely at the Kage level, and perhaps even at their peak, would soon meet him. For some reason, the blood that had gradually cooled since he had cut down Danzo... was now beginning to boil again.
