Konoha: Starting the Game as Yoriichi

Several days later, news of the Konoha Crush, the Third Hokage's death in battle, and Danzo's demise quickly swept through the entire ninja world. Everyone, including the ninja of the great hidden villages, came to remember one name:

Hatake Kusuo.

A sword-wielding monster who far surpassed the White Fang of Konoha. A ruthless individual who, at the mere age of twelve, could single-handedly take on the One-Tailed Shukaku, defeat the renowned S-rank missing-nin Orochimaru, and cut down Danzo. Such an astonishing battle record was rare even in times of war. Today, in the entire ninja world, he was one of a kind.

It was precisely because of his existence that the other hidden villages were deterred from any thoughts of invasion. This was also the reason why Konoha, despite having lost most of its high-end combat power, could remain so stable.

Konoha needed Hatake Kusuo. But Hatake Kusuo did not need Konoha.

"Is this an acquaintance of yours, Itachi-san? Then I suppose I should introduce myself as well," Kisame said, as if not sensing the tense atmosphere from Asuma and Kurenai at all. He slammed his sword, Samehada, down and grinned.

"I know you. Kisame Hoshigaki. S-rank missing-nin from the Hidden Mist Village. Your crimes are assassinating the Daimyo of the Land of Water and attempting to overthrow the Mizukage," Kurenai said, staring at him intently, being the first to identify him.

"I didn't realize I was so famous that people even know me here. I'll be in your care from now on," he said, laughing to himself, completely disregarding the two of them.

"Asuma-san, Kurenai-san, please let us pass. I don't want to kill you," Itachi said, his face with its long tear troughs revealed from under the straw hat, exposed in the sunlight, along with his pair of crimson Sharingan.

"Hmph! Are you saying you can kill us whenever you want?" Asuma's face was ugly. He and Kurenai both took out their kunai, preparing to fight.

Unfortunately, the gap in their strength was too obvious. They were completely suppressed. It wasn't until Kakashi and Guy arrived later that Itachi and Kisame finally left. Kakashi, who had been trapped in the world of Tsukuyomi, was also injured.

Learning of this matter, Kusuo brought a flower basket to the hospital to visit his cousin. Looking at Kakashi's haggard appearance, a thousand thoughts ran through his mind. If I had known earlier, I would have pestered my teacher to take you as his disciple back then." Speaking of his teacher, a trace of loneliness flashed across Jiraiya's face, but he concealed it well. "You did well to kill Danzo. To be young is to be fearless." He clapped Kusuo heavily on the shoulder, nodding with great approval.

Clearly, he was well aware of the previous situation in Konoha. Perhaps this was also the reason why he had always traveled the ninja world, unwilling to serve in the village. In any case, he really liked Kusuo, and the more he looked at him, the more he liked him.

So we've come here after all. The place where Jiraiya took Naruto to train while searching for Tsunade in the original story.

Here, they would soon encounter the Akatsuki duo who were already after the Nine-Tails.

Uchiha Itachi. And Kisame Hoshigaki.

These two, who were definitely at the Kage level, and perhaps even at their peak, would soon meet him. For some reason, the blood that had gradually cooled since he had cut down Danzo... was now beginning to boil again.
