Chapter 6: Chapter 4: Awaken (Short Chp)
In the Hokage office, we see an old man who is busy with paperwork. You can tell by the dark ring around his eyes, that he didn't get much sleep. His heads begin to tremor, due to his old age. Even when his body was old, his skill, and ruthlessness as ninja never faded.
Signing off on the construction of the Uzumaki compound, he confirmed the production.
*Knock* *Knock* Knock*
"Come in," grunted Hiruzen as he began to smoke his pipe. Entering his room was none other than Danzo Shimura, who, as always, had a neutral look on his face. The Warhawk just looked at his long-time friend for a moment before sitting down.
This slightly irritated the Hokage. About to say something, he froze when he heard what came out of Danzo's mouth.
"I know what you did, Hiruzen. You covered up the crimes of the Namikaze and the Uchiha brat, as well as everything else - even your night with the Uzumaki clan head. Or Kushi-chan, the pet name you gave the previous host of the jinchuriki. Or maybe that's a little lie too, Hiruzen-"
Lord Third slammed his hands on his desk before glaring at Danzo. "What do you want, Danzo?" asked Lord Third through gritted teeth.
Danzo gazed at the Hokage with determination before stating, "I would like Saigo Chinoke to become my apprentice. He will receive personal training from me and my Root operatives. Instead of being assigned to a three-man team like other genin, he will join all of them as a fourth member, essentially serving as a substitute."
Hiruzen narrows his eyes and says, "You can have the boy, Danzo. He means nothing to me, just a scapegoat for the real jinchurikis. Torture him, break him, rape him, I don't care. B
"But just make sure he is alive. Now if that is all, then please leave... I have company visiting me," said Hiruzen with a mischievous and perverted smile on his face.
Danzo nodded, maintaining his expressionless look, though internally he was ecstatic. Exiting out the room, the old Warhawk thought about the many ways to train his new subordinate.
(Plot holes in this chapter forgive me. I will most likely fix Chapter 1 in the future)
Meanwhile
Saigo POV
Sitting in my hospital bed. I just stared at the lunch that was served to me. On the outside, nothing looked wrong with it. And that is what concerned him. He rarely went to the hospital, but he always thought their treatment would be the same as most of the villagers. In front of me was beef stroganoff, mashed potatoes, a fruit cup, bread, and some milk.
I was hesitant to eat the food, afraid that they did something to it. About to dig into my food, I heard a knock coming from my door.
"Come in," I said.
I saw someone I had never seen before. He had bandages covering the left side of his face, and his right arm was in a cast and also covered in bandages. His good eye was slanted shut.
His presence exuded authority, demanding respect. He shut the door with a *click* to signal that it was locked.
Opening my mouth to speak, the elderly man slammed his cane on the floor, causing small cracks. Witnessing this, I chose to remain silent, terrified of the man in front of me.
The old man glared at me before saying, "Starting today, you will be my apprentice. This means that you will not be attending the Shinobi Academy anymore and will be reporting to me. Do I make myself clear?" stated the formidable man.
"Yes, I understand. But who are you?" I asked curiously.
"My name is unimportant, but you will address me as sensei. Starting tomorrow, your training will begin, and I will have someone pick you up from the hospital. So, enjoy the remainder of your time, because tomorrow your life will change," said the man.
End of POV
(A/N: Yes, this is Danzo)
Danzo exited the room and was met by Mito Namikaze, who had brought gifts, causing the Warhawk to frown. He silently disputed what he was seeing - one of the village's actual weapons was leading a normal life.
Mito also frowned when seeing the Warhawk. She didn't like that old man one bit. Opening the door, she sees Saigo eating terrible hospital Food.
As Saigo looked up at Mito, his facial expression turned from shock to a slow frown. He wondered why she was there. Didn't she realize that she was partially responsible for his current situation? Why couldn't she understand that they couldn't be friends or even acquaintances?
"Mito-San, what are you doing here?" said Saigo with a frown on his face. Mito was unaware of Saigo's feelings, although it was evident that he didn't want to see her. Saigo didn't hate the girl; no, that would just be pathetic, even for someone like him. Blaming her for something her brother did is completely wrong, and he wouldn't lash out his emotions on her, but Mito needed to leave.
Saigo was spacing out. His cold purple eyes were emotionless. He completely forgot Mito was in the room. And her worried voice broke him out of his deep thoughts.
"Saigo-kun is everything all right," said Mito with a worried look on his face.
Saigo was silent. His gaze wasn't hostile, but he decided to listen to Mito and not say a word. Memories in his head began to flash: the fire, and almost losing his legs. Clenching his fist, his face began to darken every time he remembered that event.
He needed to get stronger, not for anyone else, but for himself. Once he gets stronger, he will leave this village for good.
Mito was slightly nervous. She gave Saigo a warm smile before changing the subject.
"I missed you at the academy Y'know! Maybe when you get better we can eat lunch together again. And once we graduate maybe we can-"
"Mito-San, I won't be returning to the academy anymore. I will be someone's apprentice," Saigo said, his hair covering his face.
Mito's heart broke into two. Saigo wasn't returning to the academy?" She thought to herself.
Now she couldn't make any excuse to talk to him or visit him anymore. "Maybe we can hang out, then after you get done training..."
Saigo began to lift himself with so much force that he scowled at Mito. "Don't you understand? I am the nine-tail fox, I killed so many villagers including your father!"So why? Why do you still want to be my friend?" said Saigo angrily.
Mito's eyes widen... Saigo was the nine-tails, he killed her father? Mito's facial expression changed. the loving dovey look was now one turned into hate.
"You were the one who killed my father?! You are the Kyuubi?! Now I see why Nii-san and Kasan told me to stay away from you. It all makes sense now. You're a monster, Saigo, and you have hurt so many people!
Saigo began to close his eyes. Now that she knows, she can finally...
Just kidding," said Mito as she stuck her tongue out at Saigo. And this is when Saigo's brain began to fail.
"Saigo, before you say anything, I want you to know that you are not the nine-tails. You are just the current jailer. My mother was originally the host of the nine-tails. She is another person who blames you for my father's passing. Everyone is blaming you, but I know the truth. You are a hero, Saigo-kun! And it isn't your fault, Said Mito who left the gifts she brought before exitng the room.
Saigo was confused.
"Damn it! Why can't you just hate me... It will make it so much easier not to care about you anymore." Said Saigo who laid back in bed
Hey everyone, it's been a while! I apologize for the delay in releasing chapter 4. A lot has been going on in the past few months, which has made it difficult for me to write or update my stories. Currently, I'm working on two new fanfics that are not related to Naruto. They are novels that I'm developing, and I hope Nintendo doesn't shut down my Pokémon novel. Additionally, I'm continuing to work on the original story that I have been developing since June. I've also been working on another story that will be harem-focused, mixing aspects of Love Ru and Tenchi Muyo GXP. The story will be centered around an original character who possesses a certain device. It might take me a while to focus on chapter 5. I really just want more time to focused on my other project while taking it easy and slow, and not rushing them by weekly, or even monthly.
