Konoha, Just Like Kizaru

Chapter 201: 201 Wood Style Ninja And Bloodline Factor

Konoha Research Institute.

Shikaku and Minato were meeting with Simu.

The reason they met here, instead of the Hokage's office, was simple Simu hadn't stepped into that office in months.

He left most daily affairs to Shikaku and Minato.

Only major decisions that truly needed the Hokage's approval were brought to him here.

Shikaku handed Simu a document.

"The reputation of the Konoha Police Force is getting worse by the day"

"Also, Anbu discovered an old Root stronghold. Some ninja from the Shimura clan have been secretly visiting it."

There were still many hidden bases left behind by Root.

And as part of Danzo's clan, the Shimura members were likely involved.

Shikaku had been tracking this for a while.

Now, he finally had solid proof.

Simu frowned and casually picked his nose.

"Such a small problem,,,you guys can handle it yourselves."

Shikaku frowned.

"This concerns Konoha's internal unity. How is that a small matter?"

Simu scratched his head.

"Fine, fine. Do you want me to go with you and wipe out the Shimura clan?"

Minato gave an exasperated sigh.

Black lines practically appeared on his forehead.

"No," he said, voice calm but firm.

"What we need is for you to issue an official order. Use this as an excuse to fully investigate all remaining Root bases... and the Konoha Police Force as well."

Minato's gaze sharpened.

Even with Simu's rising popularity and influence,

it was important to eliminate any hidden threats completely. To cut the weeds from the root, and leave no chance for them to grow back.

"So that's how it is…"

Simu didn't hesitate and gave the order:

"Leave it to Anbu. Investigate all Root bases, and anyone connected to them."

"Yes."

Namikaze Minato nodded firmly.

As the head of Anbu, this mission was rightfully his.

Minato was known for his warm and gentle personality, like the sun.

But when it came to action, he never hesitated.

That's what made him truly reliable.

And so, Konoha entered a new period of unrest.

All remaining Root strongholds were found and destroyed

Through leads from the Shimura clan, Anbu also uncovered several hidden bases outside the village.

Surprisingly, many of the captured ninja were part of the Konoha Police Force.

As a result, Anbu launched a full investigation into the Guard.

They uncovered numerous cases of corruption, bribery, abuse of power, and more with many tied to the Sarutobi clan.

In just a short time, the Sarutobi family, once respected, became despised by the villagers.

They were seen as corrupt and untrustworthy.

As for the Shimura clan aside from a few who had no part in Root's activities, the rest were all arrested by Anbu.

With everything happening so quickly, the Police Force's numbers dropped dramatically.

Elsewhere, the Third Hokage sat silently in a dim room, a pipe in his hand and a heavy expression on his face.

The two village elders, Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura, came to scold Hanyu Simu again.

But it was useless. Simu didn't budge.

The major ninja clans in Konoha were now walking on eggshells, keeping their heads down and staying quiet.

They knew better than to cause trouble.

Meanwhile, the common villagers were cheering.

They were glad to see the arrogant guards finally get what they deserved.

After all, the Sarutobi clan, being related to the Hokage, had long acted like they were above everyone else.

Now that they had all been demoted, their pride was shattered.

With the little influence they had left, some tried to act out in daily life but with Shikaku giving them a little push behind the scenes, their downfall came even faster.

The Sarutobi clan had become public enemies, and people avoided them like the plague.

The once-proud "Sarutobi Fire Style" legacy?

Gone, just like that.

Simu didn't care about any of it.

His focus was entirely on the boy standing before him even younger than Kakashi by a few years.

The kid stood there, eyes blank, expression dull, as he faced Simu

He was one of the children rescued during the recent operation a test subject who had been implanted with First Hokage cells…

and had actually survived.

He had inherited the power of Wood Style.

His name was A.

Looking at the blank-eyed child, Simu let out a quiet sigh.

He gently ruffled the boy's nail-brown hair and spoke softly:

"Obito."

"What is it, teacher?"

A figure appeared beside Simu.

Since Kakashi had left Konoha, Obito had taken over leading the Anbu team that guarded the institute.

"I'm leaving this child in your care. From now on, you'll be responsible for his daily life—food, housing, everything."

Simu didn't really know how to handle A.

He wasn't the type who could help someone emotionally heal.

And this boy, an experiment created by Danzo, had almost no emotions left.

It wouldn't be easy for him to recover anytime soon.

"I see..."

Obito rubbed his chin as he looked at the boy, who was a few years younger than himself.

A didn't react to Simu's decision.

As a former Root member, following orders seemed to be deeply ingrained in him.

After Obito and A left, Simu turned back to his research.

He entered a secret room.

Inside, two corpses floated silently in large glass tanks.

One was Hanzo of the Salamander, the man once called a demigod.

The other was none other than the legendary Uchiha Madara.

Of the two, the body with the greatest value… was undoubtedly Madara's.

After all, Madara was the first to awaken the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan and combine it with a Sage Body to unlock the Rinnegan.

If Simu can uncover the secrets in Madara's body, he might be able to artificially create the Rinnegan himself.

In fact, the development of the [Armour Type I] and [Spellcaster Type I] ninja tool series was based on the Hashirama cells found in Madara's body.

Simu also discovered something special about Obito:

After gaining Wood Style, Obito's ability to absorb natural energy increased dramatically—by several times.

After studying A's cells, Simu confirmed it:

Wood Style plays a key role in helping the body absorb natural energy.

Just then, a familiar sound echoed in Simu's mind.

[Congratulations, Host. Vegapunk imitation value has reached 10%. Drawing reward…]

[Item successfully drawn!]

[Congratulations! You've obtained: [Bloodline Factor Theory]!]

Simu raised an eyebrow.

As expected, different targets give different kinds of rewards.

When Simu copied fighters like Kizaru or Kaido, he mostly gained combat abilities.

But Vegapunk was a research genius so Simu received one of his scientific theories instead.

But this was exactly what Simu needed.

Countless streams of information suddenly flooded his mind.

Even with the Brain-Brain Fruit expanding his mental capacity, it was still overwhelming.

Ten minutes later, Simu finally recovered from the data overload.

He immediately sat down at his computer, rapidly typing to record and analyze the research information that had appeared in his head.

He needed to compare this new data with the biological data of people in this world.

Only by aligning the two could he begin real experiments.

After all, people in the One Piece world are dozens of times stronger physically than those in the Naruto world.

If he used those original stats for testing here, the result would be simple, one experiment, one death.

While Simu was still sorting through the data in his mind, Obito had already brought A to Simu's home for a meal.

Even though Kushina was still a month away from giving birth, she was full of energy.

As soon as she saw Obito, she narrowed her eyes and said with mock annoyance:

"Let me guess, your dear teacher is not coming home for dinner again, is he?"

Clearly, even Obito flinched under her playful but sharp glare.

A, who was standing behind Obito, shrank back slightly.

Only then did Kushina notice the unfamiliar child behind him.

"Huh? Who's this?" she asked, puzzled. She didn't recognize the boy.

Obito quickly scratched his head and tried to change the subject.

"Uh, the teacher asked me to take care of him for a while. His name is…"

Obito froze, he didn't actually know what name to use.

Before the silence got awkward, the boy spoke calmly:

"My code name is A. I used to be a member of Root."

Kushina immediately frowned. She remembered Danzo and his creepy schemes all too well he had tried more than once to get at the Nine-Tails inside her.

But for now, she ignored the Root connection.

Instead, she looked closely at the boy and asked gently:

"Code name A, huh? But what about your real name? The one your parents gave you?"

"…Name?"

For the first time, a flicker of confusion appeared on A's blank face.

A real name? He didn't seem to know what that was.

After a moment of silence, the boy said quietly,

"People in Root only need a code name. We don't have names."

Kushina let out a sigh and looked at him seriously.

"Listen, you're not part of Root anymore. And you're not going to be called A anymore, either."

She paused, thinking for a second.

"Your new name is… Yamato. Sounds nice, doesn't it?"

"Yamato…?"

He repeated the name softly, unsure.

But Kushina didn't wait for an answer, she grabbed his hand and led him straight to the dinner table.

"Come on! Time to eat, Yamato!"

Just then, Mikoto appeared, smiling gently at the new boy.

"Oh? A new guest?" she asked warmly, before helping to set the table.

The food was served fresh and hot.

"Let's eat!" Obito said excitedly, rubbing his hands as he picked up his chopsticks.

Yamato hesitated, still standing. Kushina noticed and quickly dropped a piece of grilled fish into his bowl.

"Eat up! That's an order!"

Her firm tone made Yamato flinch a little, but he lowered his head and began eating quietly.

Obito glanced at his bowl and whined,

"Kushina-san, you're bad! That was my favorite fish!"
