Kiss the Scumbag

Seol Yu-jin frantically shook his head. A desperate sense of urgency gripped him, an unbearable anxiety rising at the thought that things might actually turn out the way Winston had said.

“That’s impossible. Don’t you know how we feel about each other? You… you don’t want to marry me and have a child either.”

He barely managed to force out the words, his voice weak and strained, but Winston only curled his lips in a mocking smirk.

“Of course, the thought of a filthy whore like you carrying my child is enough to make me sick. But what can I do? My father, who just adores you so much, insists on seeing it happen.”

His voice carried a breezy laugh, dragging out his words deliberately as if to emphasize his disdain, his brows knitting together in irritation.

“There’s no other way.”

No. There had to be another way. There must be. Yu-jin spoke with desperate conviction.

“You know what it takes to have a child, right? You’d have to sleep with me. We’d have to have sex.”

He had expected Winston to at least be fazed by that statement. But, of course, he was wrong. Winston responded with absolute indifference.

“Doesn’t matter. It’s no different from dumping my release into some Omega whore at a pheromone party.”

Of course, he had already thought this through countless times. Every single issue Yu-jin brought up had likely already played out over and over in his mind. He had undoubtedly considered every possible scenario.

And in the end, this was the conclusion he had reached.

No matter what Yu-jin said, nothing was going to change. Winston had made up his mind, and there was nothing that could shake him. Because that was the kind of man Winston Campbell was.

But Yu-jin—Yu-jin couldn’t accept this.

“But having a child, actually having one…”

He struggled to push the words out, but Winston mercilessly cut him off.

“Don’t worry. I won’t make you raise it.”

As if he had anticipated this exact reaction, Winston continued effortlessly.

“Once the child is born, it’s mine. You just take the money and leave. Oh, and take that kid you came with, too.”

There was no flaw in Winston’s logic. And yet, something about it unsettled Yu-jin.

“…You’re going to raise it?”

The words sounded too strange coming from a man so utterly incompatible with the idea of childcare. He couldn’t help but ask. Winston, noticing the thought in Yu-jin’s eyes, furrowed his brows and scoffed.

“Obviously. Did you actually think I’d let you raise my child?”

Yu-jin had never even considered such a scenario, so he hadn’t thought about what would come after. Winston, not giving him a chance to process, pressed on.

“Or are you worried about getting saddled with another unwanted child?”

“What the hell are you talking about?”

Yu-jin couldn’t help but react sharply to that remark. His voice, now edged with tension, slipped out in a sharp breath. Winston, hands casually tucked into his pockets, simply shrugged.

“Baby, we both know each other inside and out. If you’re going to put on that fake, innocent act, save it for when you’re in front of other people.”

Narrowed violet eyes looked down at Yu-jin, filled with nothing but contempt.

“Because you disgust me.”

His words and actions were the same as always, as if mocking and degrading Yu-jin was his rightful privilege.

If it were just insults directed at himself, Yu-jin could have endured them. But he couldn’t tolerate his child being ridiculed.

“Don’t talk about Angie like that. You don’t know a damn thing.”

Winston let out a short, airy chuckle before sneering.

“I don’t know anything?”

“That’s right.”

Yu-jin glared at him, warning clear in his eyes.

“Say whatever you want about me, I don’t care. But Angie is off-limits. If you bring her up like that again, I will never forgive you.”

He meant it with every fiber of his being. But Winston’s response was indifferent, as if to say, And what exactly do you think you can do? And humiliatingly enough, he was right.

“So, you don’t want to talk about the kid?” Winston asked, his voice detached. He didn’t wait for Yu-jin’s answer before continuing.

“Of course, you wouldn’t want to. That child is the price you paid for your filthy, reckless life.”

Despite Yu-jin’s warning, Winston deliberately twisted the knife, framing the child as if she were a punishment handed down by fate.

“Angie is a blessing to me.”

Yu-jin fired back immediately, but Winston only smirked, his voice dripping with mockery.

“Do you even know whose kid she is?”

“She’s mine.”

“Hah.”

Without hesitation, Yu-jin declared it, and Winston let out a sharp, open laugh—one meant to ridicule. But Yu-jin remained unwavering.

“She doesn’t need a father. It’s just the two of us, and that’s enough.”

That’s what he had always believed. And that’s how it had always been. It would remain that way.

Unlike Yu-jin’s resolute expression, Winston’s face remained unreadable as he spoke.

“I’ve already prepared the contract. Once you sign, we’ll proceed immediately.”

“What contract?”

Yu-jin frowned at the sudden mention. Winston let out a quiet scoff before replying.

“The prenuptial agreement, of course. Did you really think I’d just marry you without any conditions?”

He was utterly convinced. Convinced that Yu-jin would do anything for money. And while Yu-jin had come here prepared for that assumption, this was one thing he could not accept.

“I’m not going to marry you. And I’m not going to have your child.”

Yu-jin straightened his back, his voice firm, his stance unwavering.

“Figure out another way. If there isn’t one, then I’ll have to give up the inheritance.”

“You? Giving up money?”

Winston scoffed, as if the idea was too ridiculous to entertain. But Yu-jin’s expression didn’t waver.

“Yeah. What difference would it even make? I’d just go back to the life I’ve always lived.”

Of course, it was all bravado. He could survive on the streets if he had to—but not Angela.

Despite having his pride trampled over and over again, the only reason he was back here, sitting across from this arrogant man, was for Angela’s sake. His desire to raise his child in a safe and comfortable environment was no different from that of any other parent.

But there was only one reason he could afford to act this bold.

Winston will never give up the inheritance.

Which meant that Yu-jin was an essential component in achieving that goal. That was the only weapon he had. And he would never back down.

“I will never marry you.”

If he held his ground, Winston would have no choice but to come up with an alternative.

He stared at Winston with confidence, fully expecting a rebuttal—but instead, Winston’s expression shifted into something peculiar.

“No, you will.”

“Me? And why the hell would I?”

Yu-jin scoffed, furrowing his brows.

“Don’t flatter yourself. Hate to break it to you, but even if you were the last Alpha left in the world, I still wouldn’t marry you. I wouldn’t sleep with you, either.”

His rejection was absolute. For the first time, it felt like he had gained the upper hand against Winston. He swore he wouldn’t let that slip away.

Then, Winston, who had been watching him through narrowed eyes, slowly parted his lips.

“Baby.”

A bad feeling surged in Yu-jin’s gut. The moment he saw Winston’s smirk twist cruelly, his entire body tensed.

“You really think I don’t know whose kid she is?”

Yu-jin’s mind blanked. Completely, utterly blanked.

For a second, time itself seemed to halt—before his heart started pounding wildly, his mouth going dry in an instant.

What? What did I just hear?

What the hell did he just say to me?

“Wh-What do you mean? I already told you—she’s mine.”

Yu-jin’s reaction was completely different from before. Winston noticed immediately, his lips curling in amusement as he raised a brow.

Yu-jin, too, realized in that moment—he had made a terrible mistake.

Nothing he said now would make things better. The best course of action was to say nothing at all.

It already felt like everything was falling apart.

“Don’t bother,” Winston murmured, his voice unhurried as he watched Yu-jin visibly panic. “I know everything.”

His smirk deepened as he continued, savoring every second of Yu-jin’s unraveling composure.

“Don’t even think about trying to outmaneuver me. All you’ll do is expose just how pathetic you really are.”

“Lies…”

A whisper slipped from Yu-jin’s trembling lips. His eyes, shaking violently, darted back to Winston, who merely tilted his head.

“Lies?”

“Yes!”

Yu-jin’s voice cracked as he shouted, his desperation bubbling over.

“How the hell would you know anything? It’s ridiculous! If you think you can fool me with some bullshit like that, you’ve got another thing coming! Do you really think I’ll fall for it?!”
