Chapter 77: (Part 10)
"He returned it hun…" asked Xander slightly disappointed. "Don't say it like that, it would've been weirder if a platinum ranker hadn't returned that." told Feng.
"Yeah, it's just as Feng says." endorsed Helios as Poseidon nodded.
"This time the speed was 169.5km/hr." said Seles. Helios eyeing him questioned, "That Alan boy, until what speed can he counter fast balls even if he's a spin returner?" "177Km/hr." Seles replied.
"Heh… that's not bad for a spin returner." commented Ryan. "So what's Seraph going to do now?" asked Heber. "End it simply, I guess or maybe not. Who knows, what's on his mind?" Ezekiel guessed.
"I think so too, since, all three waves have been completed and it's the last ball." told Adam. Kenzo observing Seraph spoke up, "End it simply hun… does his eyes give you that look?"
"What do you mean?" asked Cassiel puzzled. "Xavier my boy… you're going to get a little shock now." smirked Kenzo while Xavier blinked his eyes perplexed. Ryan, Azazel and Gabriel wondered.
"So… what move is it now?" Alan asked Seraph. "It was the last wave, wasn't it?" he continued.
Seraph catching the ball which was thrown towards him smiled, "Who said so…? My marvels are never ending Mr. handsome. Brace yourself… for It's time to unleash Infrasonic glint's 4th wave." he declared.
"4th wave…?" asked Feng dumbstruck.
"4th wave?!" Xander, Aryan and Luka repeated puzzled as Adam stared wide eyed. "When did that happen?" Ezekiel inquired.
"4th wave…?" whispered Xavier astonished.
Kenzo glancing smiled, "See? I told you it would be a shock." A
lan amused tapped his bat on the crease, Seraph tossing the ball rushed towards the pitch. Stepping on the balling line he threw the ball towards Alan which approached like a flash of light.
"Looks like I can't go forward now, if I do. Then, my wicket's going to go up. So, the only choice I am left with is… to Tackle it head on!" Alan thought slamming the ball.
However, the force twice as much from the deliveries before shook Alan's grip in the end bursting it away from his hand.
An impact greater than of a bomb both the ball and bat flunged away from the pitch onto the grassy ground. Alan with his expression widened stared at his hand which was empty trembling wildly. The highschoolers along with the middle schoolers stared blank.
"It- It blew off Alan's bat…?" pointed Orion baffled.
"Unbelievable…" whispered Elias and Senri stunned.
"Forget his personality change and even the game change, isn't he change himself, with that level?" remarked Noah.
"Incredible…" commented Haruf. "Till the very end… he kept his title firm." muttered Kazuna.
"Isn't he just like you Zach?" Isa compared. A silent smile escaping his lips Zachariah looked at Seraph agreeing.
"It… just passed his overall balling record, 172.8km/hr. Seraph Awan has broken through his old record." whispered Seles eyeing his tablet. "Bravo…" commented Poseidon while Gabriel grinned.
"Looks like all this time, he hasn't just changed the game however, the overall view of himself as well in front of all of us." Kenzo applauded proud.
Azazel gazed at the sight in wonder as Heber smiled. "Left my insights behind once again… well done." Xavier commented. "Ah~ Marvelous~" Seraph chanted grinning suddenly kneeling on the ground panting hard. Alan looking at him rushed forward.
"Hey, are you alright?" he inquired nervously grasping him from his shoulders. Seraph taking deep breaths whispered, "Of course I am…"
"But to think you would use a test move over me. I hadn't expected that. You haven't even mastered it and here you are showing off." Alan teased.
"Haha! It's worthy, if it changes the tides, so tell me, we're you impressed? Mr. Handsome?" Seraph asked as his calm personality took over him once again. Alan stood up, "Immensely. And, I'll make sure you impress the world as well."
Seraph blinked his eyes surprised, however soon smiling, he took his hand standing up once again. "For a little boy like you, surprisingly big words suit you." he complimented.
Hearing his comment, Alan chuckled. "Who say's I am little? I know I am definitely older than you." he replied. Seraph wondered, "Nope… you aren't. And I know that." Alan blinked his eyes wordless.
Heading to where his gold gauntlet was kept, Seraph picked it up and wore it again. Facing the sun, his figure exceled as the gauntlet shone. He rustled his hairs with his hand whispering, "Ah~ Marvelous~"
Alan making his way towards the highschoolers seat remarked waving his hand, "I was right, it really does suit you. That line…"
Seraph picking up his ball headed back however, instantly realized something turning around to face Alan again. As soon as he did, his eyes widened. "My, my… looks like I still have a long, long way to go hun?" he asked himself with a stunned heading back.
Cassiel closing his journal with a thud stood up.
Kenzo eyeing him asked, "So are all your preparations complete?" "Yeah…" Cassiel replied expressionlessly. "A silent push from Seraph and he gets up." Kenzo thought. "Hey Cassiel are you going next?" Adam asked.
"Yeah Adam." Cassiel responded patting his head. "Best of luck then." bucked Poseidon while Heber showed his thumbs up. "However, there is a little problem." Cassiel said confused. Kenzo, Xavier and Helios looked at each other. "And, what might that be?" Helios questioned.
Cassiel pushing his glasses up spoke, "I have been taking notes and recording data ever since this challenge commenced but now I have to leave for my own turn. That means, I have no one to take those notes for me while I am facing Alan and that is a big problem." Hearing his concern the middle schoolers including Seles eyed him speechless.
"What? Is that it…?" asked Azazel bewildered. Kenzo and Gabriel sighed in disbelief. "Indeed that is it. Do you know what kind of precious information will I lose if no one takes those notes for me?" Cassiel told grave.
Adam eyed Ryan shaking his head. Damian who sat above sighed, "Is that it? Don't make them worry for such a little thing. Give it to me, I'll take your notes."
Cassiel nodded, "Remember, Damian take the exact amount of speed of returns and throws both from the balling side and the batting side. Make sure to take the proximity of the wind and climate affairs not to forget the strength, speed, insight with tactics of both opponents while…" Cassiel began and from here went the whole story.
Adam eyeing Kenzo, Ryan and Feng rolled his eyes while the others stared at the two of them silent. "And… there he goes, our data freak…" commented Xander. Seles smiled.
Damian on the other hand annoyed over his continuous nitpicking slammed his hand on his thigh. The middle schoolers jolted surprised. "That's enough! I- AM- NOT- AN- AMATEUR!" he warned cross.
Cassiel instantly silent, cleared his throat nodding, "I'm sorry…" Heading towards his gear bag silently. Kenzo eyeing them sighed while Xavier and Poseidon smiled. "Poor Cassiel…" whispered Adam as Xander and Zac agreed.
Seraph made his way back. Adam tracing him return, gleamed wildly. Rushing out from the pavilion he embraced him, "Sera, Sera!" "Haha…" Seraph laughed patting his hairs. "You were so cool!! The best!!" Adam complemented.
"Yeah! You were great captain!!" Xander, Aryan and Luka cheered from behind. "Thank you…" Seraph thanked.
Kenzo, Helios, Poseidon, Ryan, and Ezekiel clapped their hands. Azazel and Heber showed him a victory sign. "You did great. No… you far exceeded my expectations, Bravo." remarked Kenzo. "Yeah, well done." Poseidon endorsed. "To think you would even break your record. I hadn't expected that." Gabriel patted his shoulder.
"Yes… and you even left my prospects behind…" whispered Xavier smiling. Grasping his sight Seraph instantly gasped, "Ah! Xavier?!" "Hm?" Xavier asked back unfazed. "Hey! I never meant anything by that, really! I just wanted to surprise you. I really didn't had the intention to make you feel discouraged. I really!" Seraph corrected.
In the end, no words worked. Adam who still hugged him looked up, blinking his eyes. Patting his head Seraph sighed. "Alright, I am sorry I didn't use my full strength against you last time however, it doesn't mean that you are any weaker than me. So could you just let this…" he asked however Xavier chuckled.
"Haha… it's alright, I don't mind it at all. It was your choice after all. In the end, you still did great and I am really proud to call you my rival for that." he told. Hearing his words Seraph clenched his fists, gazing onto the ground.
"Alright, Seraph no need to worry. Our little Xavier is quiet forgiving so let it go now…" Helios said however, Seraph interrupted.
"It wasn't great… I wasn't bravo as well." he rejected.
