'Even if... I don't know who my parents are, even if... I don't have a happy family, so what?'

'I have him, Michael... he is my home!'

Daisy slept sweetly and deeply...

Her hands were already around Michael's neck, and she refused to let go even in her sleep, as if she was afraid that Michael would disappear if she let go.

There was no light in the room, and it was a little dark. Michael looked at Daisy from a close distance, watching her smile in her sleep.

Daisy reached out her hand in a daze, and when she felt that there seemed to be no one around, she startled awake. When she opened her eyes, Michael was no longer beside her. She got up in a panic and was about to call Michael's name, but then she heard the door open and saw Michael walking in with something in his hand.

"Where have you been?" Daisy asked, rushing to throw herself into Michael's arms.

Michael smiled and said, "I went to buy breakfast."

"I thought... I thought..." Daisy murmured.

"You thought I left? How could I do that? Although I may not be with you every day, I definitely won't leave at a time like this." Michael said, his voice full of reassurance. He hadn't expected Daisy to become so attached to him. It seemed that after her transformation, her dependence on him had grown exponentially.

"Yeah." Daisy nodded, her arms tightening around him briefly before letting go.

"Are you still sleepy? If not, let's eat!"

"Yeah." Daisy responded happily, following Michael to the living room. Without bothering to dress formally, the two of them shared breakfast. Though it was a simple meal, Daisy savored it as if it were a feast, thoroughly satisfied.

"What are your plans today? Going back to SHIELD or staying with me?" Michael asked.

Daisy thought for a moment before answering reluctantly, "Of course, I want to stay with you, but I'd better go back. I've found some clues, and I want to investigate them as soon as possible so that I can be with you forever!"

"Alright, I'll take you back later."

"Okay!"

After finishing breakfast and a short rest, they got dressed and left the hotel.

When they returned to the SHIELD base, everyone noticed something different about Daisy. She exuded a unique charm now—one that couldn't be ignored. Knowing she had spent the night with Michael, they could easily guess the reason for the change.

Coulson even teased Michael, "You're injured, but you took Daisy out for a romantic night? Isn't that a bit much?"

Michael shrugged casually and replied, "Jealous? If you are, go get yourself a girlfriend. Maybe she can soothe your wounded heart!"

"If you're not busy, take it easy today. I'm heading back to my base. Call me if you miss me!" Michael leaned down and kissed Daisy on the cheek before turning to leave. As he turned, he caught sight of Clarice, who had a strange expression on her face. Was she envious? Or jealous?

Michael smirked at her, causing Clar to hurriedly mask her expression with a forced smile.

"You're so beautiful." He said, grinning.

After Michael left, Clarice approached Daisy, unable to hold back her thoughts.

"Daisy, you look amazing!"

Daisy smiled, "It's just the clothes, right?"

"No, it's not the clothes. It's your whole aura—more feminine." Clarice said thoughtfully, "You're glowing, like a radiant gem."

Daisy's smile grew sweeter. She could feel the changes in herself too.

"Is this what it means to transition from a girl to a woman?" Clarice murmured. For a moment, her mind drifted to her interactions with Michael. The thought of his touch and the conditions he had suggested flustered her.

Michael, meanwhile, sneezed mid-flight, "Strange, we just separated, and Daisy's already missing me?"

Shaking his head with a chuckle, he was about to accelerate when a familiar glow caught his eye below. It was the unmistakable shimmer of a portal opening.

"Why is she here?" He wondered aloud, altering his course to investigate.

"Where is she?"

After landing, Michael found himself in an abandoned parking lot surrounded by scrapped cars. There was no sign of Sarah, though.

Why had she opened a portal here?

Confused, Michael was about to call her when he heard movement behind him. He turned to see Clarice walking toward him.

"What are you doing here? Shopping?" Michael asked, half-joking. Clarice was often tasked with errands due to her teleportation ability.

"Yes," Clarice replied simply, her expression calm.

Michael frowned. Something felt off. Clarice's demeanor was too composed. Normally, she would greet him with enthusiasm, but now she was acting strangely.

"Wait!" Michael's voice grew stern. "Are you okay?"

"Me? Of course, I'm fine," Clarice replied, her tone laced with doubt.

Michael's eyes narrowed. Her response only deepened his suspicion.

"Whoever you are, you're not Clarice. Show yourself before I make you regret provoking me!" Michael's voice was cold, filled with menace.

A sly smile spread across Clarice's face. Her tone shifted. "I'm curious—how did you figure it out so quickly?"

"Mind control, I assume?" Michael said flatly.

The impostor chuckled. "You're clever. But if you want answers, follow me."

Without waiting for a response, the figure turned and walked away, leaving Michael to decide whether to give chase.
