The six-thousand-strong army did not fully set foot on the island until the following morning.
Upon arrival, Qin Yi had already surveyed the island's terrain alongside the Three Generals. Some aspects of the situation aligned with their expectations, while others were unforeseen.
After a brief discussion, they resolved to advance swiftly and secure the island as soon as possible.
"Once we pass through this dense forest, we'll reach the island's central region. There's a village about the size of Konoha, but far less prosperous." Qin Lin quietly briefed them.
"Have any Shinobi been detected?" Qin Yi asked in a low voice.
At that moment, they were swiftly navigating the dense forest. The soldiers moved in disciplined formations, the air thick with tension, their weapons ready for battle.
"Some, but its nothing significant. I've already distributed the thousand kunai, shuriken, and explosive tags that Konoha provided as support. Even if the soldiers aren't skilled in their use yet, simply scattering them in battle will cause considerable destruction." Yang Yi smirked.
"Resources are limited for now. These supplies must be used wisely— especially the explosive tags. Once used, they're gone." Qin Yi's tone was serious.
"Rest assured, Your Majesty. The Shinobi presence on this island is weaker than we expected. Based on our reconnaissance, a mere show of force should be enough to make them submit." Yang Yi spoke with confidence.
The scouts had already conducted thorough investigations, and their reports indicated that the island did not pose a major threat.
"Mm." Qin Yi nodded, somewhat reassured.
He knew the Three Generals were all battle-hardened veterans who would not underestimate the enemy.
Moreover, their six-thousand-strong army was trained in chakra control and basic ninjutsu. Even if they weren't full-fledged Shinobi, they were still a formidable force.
"However, the real concern lies with a small island to the west. Reports suggest that it belongs to a separate nation." Qin Lin's voice grew solemn.
"A nation?!" Qin Yi's eyes narrowed.
Based on his knowledge, this island should be located near the Land of Waves. There were indeed small islands nearby, but an independent nation?
"It's called the Land of Whirlpools. It has a small population, but there are Shinobi among them." Qin Lin's expression was grave.
"The Land of Whirlpools?!" Qin Yi was taken aback.
He knew exactly what this meant. The legendary Uzumaki Clan resided there, their hidden village known as Uzushiogakure. Like the Senju, they possessed the resilient Uzumaki lineage and were masters of Fūinjutsu (Sealing Techniques). Feared and envied for their abilities, they were ultimately wiped out by a coalition of enemies who saw them as a threat.
To encounter them here was unexpected.
"What's their estimated strength?" Qin Yi asked in a low voice.
"The scouts have yet to return, but initial reports suggest they are fewer in number than us." Qin Lin replied.
Qin Yi nodded, deep in thought. He did not dwell on the matter further.
"First, we secure this island and establish our foothold. We will deal with the Land of Whirlpools later."
With that order, he set the concern aside.
Compared to the Five Great Nations, smaller countries and hidden villages posed no real threat. Given time, his soldiers would grow stronger. They didn't need to reach elite levels— so long as they could fight on par with Chunin, they would be an unstoppable force.
Six thousand Chunin-level warriors would be an overwhelming presence on any battlefield.
"Yes, Your Majesty!" Qin Lin responded firmly.
…
Half an hour later, the army arrived at the island's central village.
Qin Yi and his commanders surveyed the area. What lay before them was a settlement in complete disarray— ramshackle buildings, worn paths, and an air of decay.
Compared to the thriving vitality of Konoha, this place was a wasteland. The lush forest surrounding it contrasted sharply with the dreary, lifeless village. The people— emaciated, clad in rags— trembled at the sight of the massive army. Some children clung to each other, shivering in fear.
"Where are the Shinobi?" Qin Yi's gaze hardened.
"They are gathered at the village center. There are about forty of them, mostly Chunin-level." Fang Lan reported.
"Forty." Qin Yi considered this for a moment. His eyes flickered as he glanced at the fearful villagers, their expressions echoing those of his own people back in the capital.
"Can the soldiers handle them?" A cold glint flashed in his eyes as he asked this.
"Our army is trained for moments like this. Our troops are the elite, Your Majesty. Rest assured! We can deal with them" Fang Lan immediately understood Qin Yi's intent and answered with unwavering resolve.
"Move out!" Qin Yi commanded, stepping forward. Gandalf, Yang Yi, Qin Lin, and Qin Xiyao followed, sensing the weight of their emperor's determination.
Having witnessed the devastation wrought upon their homeland, they fully understood Qin Yi's resolve.
"Army, heed my command!" Fang Lan's voice thundered through the village like a war drum.
"Your loyal warriors stand ready!" Six thousand voices roared in unison, shaking the ground beneath them.
"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"
War drums pounded. Every soldier's expression darkened, their killing intent surging. Their minds echoed with a singular resolve: they would not return until their enemies were utterly vanquished.
They were the kingdom's most formidable warriors— unyielding, disciplined, and fearless. Even in the face of overwhelming odds, they had never known retreat.
"Prepare yourselves!"
"Kill anyone who resists without mercy!"
"Kill any Shinobi who stand against us without mercy!"
"Kill any who take advantage of the chaos without mercy!"
The threefold decree set their blood ablaze.
Fang Lan raised his longsword, pointing toward the village's central building.
"Kill!!"
The six-thousand-strong force advanced, their synchronized march shaking the ground.
"Civilians, stand aside! We are here to bring judgment upon the wicked Shinobi!"
Fang Lan's voice carried across the village.
The villagers hesitated, then their expressions changed— first fear, then realization, and finally, hope.
For years, they had suffered under the rule of these Shinobi, who extorted them, murdered dissenters, and treated them as little more than cattle.
Now, an army had arrived to challenge them.
With hushed murmurs, the villagers quickly made their way.
The soldiers pressed forward, Fang Lan leading the charge toward the village center.
"Who are you people?!" A group of Shinobi lackeys rushed out with their weapons drawn, their faces pale with panic.
"Kill." Fang Lan's response was cold and final.
In an instant, soldiers surged forward, cutting them down in swift, decisive strikes.
"Sweep the area. Eliminate all who resist!" Fang Lan commanded.
