King Of War: Starting with Arms Dealer

Chapter 880: TALOS Armor

Joe Ga had just finished speaking when Dorian let out a sigh and said, "Boss, why isn't there an old man like that taking care of me?

I feel like I have a promising future too..."

Joe Ga gave Dorian a look of disdain and held up his middle finger, saying, "Didn't you hook up with some married woman at that guy's estate last time? She even said she wanted to introduce her sister to you.

I figure that a woman who can blend in at a place like that probably has a rich dad.

You might wanna consider it!"

Dorian noticed everyone around him had turned their attention toward him. He sighed again and said, "That woman's a madman. Her 'sister' has a thicker mustache than me, hairier legs than me, and no need for estrogen. Wearing a skirt, she can still claim she's a woman.

My God, people like that should be drowned in a toilet…"

Joe Ga burst out laughing at Dorian's bizarre experience and said, "Elephant, you should just settle for someone within our group. Otherwise, with your luck, you're bound to end up with bad karma.

How about B Team's 'Hemostatic Forceps'? She's got a scar on her face, but it could be fixed if you're willing to spend the money. Or maybe 'Water Snake' isn't a bad choice either...

Actually, Eric's little angels might work just fine too..."

Dorian shook his head firmly and said, "I prefer gentle women. Those crazy chicks who pull their guns at the drop of a hat... only those Chinese fool engineers would go for them."

As he spoke, Dorian glanced at Ronnie, the 'Tracker', standing by the wall, seemingly ready to disappear into thin air. He frowned and said, "Boss, are we really bringing him along?

This guy might not be trustworthy..."

Joe Ga froze for a moment, then realized Ronnie was standing flush against the wall next to his left. The way Ronnie slouched his shoulders and kept his head down seemed to naturally keep him unnoticed.

Joe Ga wasn't particularly vigilant when he was around his own people, so he genuinely hadn't noticed or even registered that this was Ronnie, the 'Tracker'.

The feeling was truly uncanny—you knew he was there, yet your brain instinctively ignored him.

This didn't remotely align with the guy in the hospital, who had taken on Joe Ga and Dorian alone, leaving them in utter agony.

Seeing that Ronnie had no intention of responding to Dorian, Joe Ga frowned in thought and said, "If you don't want to join, you can just leave, because there's real danger here..."

Hearing this, Ronnie finally raised his head. His otherwise featureless face broke into a bashful smile, and he said in a slightly muffled voice, "I owe you a lot of money. I can work for you to repay the debt."

Joe Ga glanced at everyone present, then shook his head slightly and said, "I need a crew, not just some hired hand.

Well, of course, you're in debt. You've got your own issues.

But if you want to work for me to pay off the debt, you first need to prove you're capable.

Thompson says you're formidable. So, what are you good at?"

Ronnie straightened up, and his entire demeanor shifted in an instant—from nearly invisible to that of a soldier.

With a few simple bodily gestures and facial expressions, he created this transformation. This unique ability was something Joe Ga had only seen before in Monica. Of course, Monica's antics were too outrageous to recount.

Women being born actors was one thing, but for a man to have this skill… at the very least, you'd call him Oscar-worthy.

Seeing he had piqued Joe Ga's curiosity, Ronnie grinned, exposing a set of white teeth, and said, "I'm skilled at disguising, tracking, hand-to-hand combat, shooting, driving cars and helicopters...

If needed, I can also dive underwater, parachute, or pilot a tank..."

He then noticed Joe Ga didn't seem particularly impressed and smiled, saying, "Sir, you treated Olivia and Foreman well. You're a good man, and I believe you'd be a good boss too."

Joe Ga stared at Ronnie. When this guy smiled, he appeared cheerful, but his eyes revealed no emotion. It was as if every movement and expression he made was calculated to serve his goals.

The sensation was odd for Joe Ga, someone keenly attuned to others' emotions.

Looking briefly at the silent 'Medic Officer Bird', Joe Ga recalled the admiration this person had shown upon uncovering Ronnie's identity. He hesitated and said, "You're in trouble. I want to know what kind of trouble, and then I'll decide whether or not I'll offer you a job."

Ronnie nodded slightly and said, "It's good to be cautious..."

Then, seeing Joe Ga's faint dissatisfaction, Ronnie apologized, "Sorry, I know I might be a liability, but I don't even know where my trouble comes from."

Joe Ga furrowed his brow, staring at the unusually calm Ronnie, and said, "What do you mean?

It sounds like you're telling me hiring you would be the same as hiring a ticking time bomb..."

Ronnie leaned back against the wall, his gaze momentarily unfocused. In a low voice, he said, "I don't remember...

Since I botched a mission in Malaysia in '14, resulting in the deaths of several key figures and my subsequent expulsion from the 'Trackers', I've forgotten everything.

I'm very grateful you covered my medical bills so the doctors at Presbyterian Hospital could remove the bullet fragments and needles from my brain.

I know I'm a liability, but I have no clue what kind of liability I am."
