King of Titans and Dragons

Chapter 8: Chapter 8: The Tragic Dragon Couple

"Master Muria, what are these?" Sophia looked uncertainly at the red dragon eggs on the ground.

"Ah, yes, just as you thought, these six are all red dragon eggs." Muria said with a somber expression, "They were the gifts my mother gave to me, now they all belong to me."

"Ah!" Hearing Muria's words, Sophia, the Head Dragonborn Maid, let out a gasp filled with shock.

Muria looked down at the astonished head maid who had lost her composure, then seeing her blush slightly and lower her head, he said with a sense of helplessness, "You think my mother's actions are unreasonable too, don't you!"

"No." Upon hearing Muria's words, the Head Maid instantly rebutted with firm determination, "Archmage Atris is a legendary mage. There must be a reason for her actions. We just don't understand it yet."

Muria looked surprised at the blonde maid. Clearly, Sophia had already succumbed to the charm of the Golden Dragon Mother, becoming a fervent admirer, worshiping her obsessively.

However, Muria wasn't bothered by Sophia's attitude. It was quite normal for a maid in charge of the Crystal Castle's internal affairs to be faithful. There was nothing more reassuring for a dragon than a crazily adoring fan.

What truly caught Muria's attention were the four words spoken by Sophia: "Legendary mage? Sophia, are you sure you didn't miss a word? It should be legendary dragon mage, right?"

"No mistake, Master Muria. You may not know it, but if you disregard Archmage Atris's golden dragon identity and only focus on her magic prowess, she can certainly rival a legendary mage." Sophia explained seriously.

Muria was silent. He discovered that the Golden Dragon Mother's strength was a lot stronger than he had anticipated. It couldn't merely be described as a mere legendary golden dragon.

"The Golden Dragon Mother is a mature ancestral golden dragon, with a dragon body as long as a hundred meters. Strictly considering her physique, she is undoubtedly of legendary level, coupled with her legendary level magic abilities. Good lord! This combo, it's freakishly overpowered!" Muria calculated this in his mind and then gasped in astonishment.

After being stunned, Muria cheered happily. The freakishly overpowered mother was indeed his lifelong support. In Elasia, there might be very few who would dare to provoke him because of it.

Also, Muria now understood why Sophia would worship his mother so fervently. Although his Golden Dragon Mother had a noble lineage, she didn't spend her days lounging around, waiting for her power to grow like normal dragons. Instead, she was diligent and studious in her magic studies, achieving things many ancient dragons hadn't accomplished yet—a legendary level magic practitioner.

Unexpectedly, Muria was reminded of a saying: The scariest thing isn't a genius, but a genius that works harder than you.

After standing at the original spot and deeply sighing, Muria took the lead in picking up a red dragon egg. Subsequently, Sophia and the other maids also conscientiously picked up a red dragon egg each.

"Hehe!" Muria looked down and saw the comical scene of Sophia and five well-endowed maids each holding a red dragon egg as tall as themselves.

Although the Dragonborn maids in the castle looked very similar to humans, they were drastically different from ordinary people. They had all been affected by the Golden Dragon's aura, resulting in a transmutation in their life essence. Hidden within their seemingly delicate exterior was astonishing power, allowing them to handle heavy labor with much ease, even those considered strenuous by strong human males.

Just as Muria was leading the maids to transfer the six red dragon eggs to his room, he noticed the two red dragons he had been ignoring for a while.

"What should be done with these two red dragons?" Muria lifted his chin towards the red dragons, asking Sophia, "Just leave them unattended?"

"Um, where is Archmage Atris?" The Head Maid only just remembered she had yet to see her mistress.

"She's gone to sleep." Muria grumpily answered.

"Then we can only leave them be until Archmage Atris wakes up to deal with them."

"Are you sure?" Muria was a little uneasy. These were red dragons, the leaders among wicked dragons, left unattended just like that? Who knows when his Golden Dragon Mother would wake up? After all, the concept of time for dragons and humans was completely different. Who knows how long the Golden Dragon Mother would sleep?

The Head Maid nodded, and so, Muria could only look helplessly at the golden chains on the red dragons, ready to leave with the maids. He could only pray that the chains were strong enough to firmly bind the two red dragons. Otherwise, well, there wasn't much to worry about.

The worst-case scenario would be the two comatose red dragons waking up and breaking free of the chains. Then they would run rampant in the castle, finally waking the Golden Dragon Mother, who would suppress them once again.

After imagining the worst possible outcome, Muria didn't feel much concern. In any case, it wasn't his place to worry about it.

"Roar!" As Muria stepped into the corridor to leave the castle's great hall, a deep dragon roar came from behind him. Clearly, a Red Dragon had woken up.

So, Muria returned to the great hall. After getting used to the exaggerated size of the Golden Dragon Mother, he hardly paid any attention to the thirty-meters-long "diminutive" size of the Red Dragon. No matter how fierce or wicked its appearance was, it was still captured and bound by the Golden Dragon Mother, so Muria felt no fear.

"Roar!!!" As Muria expected, the first to awaken was the relatively larger Red Dragon. This Red Dragon, roughly thirty-seven meters long, first felt the constraints on its body, struggled a bit, to no avail. The Golden Chains still firmly bound it. In the end, it could only express its anger with several roars.

Then, the Red Dragon trying to break free ceased its movement as it discovered the environment it was in. Its sights wandered blankly at everything around it, opened its mouth a few times, but failed to make a single sound.

Where the Red Dragon's gaze reached, various crystal spirit lights that dazzle dragon eyes were shining, and the abundant magic power inside the crystals told it that these were not ordinary Crystal Stones, but valuable Magic Crystals.

But how was this possible? So many Magic Crystals-- it seemed like all the Magic Crystals in the world were piled up before it.

"Tiamat above, have I arrived in the Divine Kingdom of the great Mother of Evil Dragons?" When encountering such a situation beyond the Red Dragon's comprehension, it could only associate it with the rarely prayed-to Mother of Evil Dragons.

"Heh, you're not dead yet. How could you go to that misshapen old Mother Dragon's Divine Kingdom?" Hearing the mumbling of the Red Dragon in front of him, Muria scoffed, expressing his disdain for the Mother of Evil Dragons.

"Who are you?" Hearing Muria's words, the Red Dragon was startled, then immediately verified that it was still alive, and then looked up at the super-sized baby who spoke the Dragon Language.

"What sort of creature are you? A half-dragon? No, there's no such half-dragon as you. With such a large size, still in an infant form." The Red Dragon pondered earnestly, then snuffled a few times, catching a very familiar scent.

This unforgettable scent deeply etched into its memory, the Red Dragon swore that it would never forget in this lifetime. Thus, the scale-armored Red Dragon instinctively shrank back and growled at Muria in Dragon Language, "What's your relationship with Atris, the Golden Sun?"

Then, looking anxiously around, the Red Dragon flapped its nostrils continuously, then found a very desperate fact. In this dazzling Crystal Castle, everywhere was filled with a scent which it would never forget.

"Where exactly is this?" The uneasy Red Dragon added another question, although it had generally guessed the answer.

"My mother's castle, Archmage Atris's Castle." Muria said with a teasing expression.

"This is the lair of the Golden Sun!" The Red Dragon's face was full of disbelief. In its opinion, such a luxurious lair could only be worthy of a Dragon God. Even if Atris, the Ancient Golden Dragon's power was abnormal, it didn't deserve this lair.

"Lair my ass." When Muria heard the Red Dragon's words, he lifted his short leg and kicked the fierce Dragon Head without any consideration for the dragon's dignity. "This is a castle, a castle. Are you having hearing problems, or do you have a problem with your brain?"

"Roar!" Kicked by a Golden Dragon fledgling, such a humiliation was unbearable for the proud Red Dragon. Thus, the terrifying beast started to struggle. As the Red Dragon moved,

"Clang! Clang!" One end of the Golden Chains tied to a weight-bearing pillar in the great hall, the other wrapped around the Red Dragon, started to glow brightly and automatically began to tighten, firmly binding the dragon's body. The Red Dragon's struggle was meaningless, only giving Muria a shock.

"Can't move a bit." After retreating a few steps, Muria found that the restraining ability of this Golden Chains was incredibly amazing, preventing the Red Dragon from doing anything except for talking.

"What a treasure." Muria looked at the Golden Chains on the Golden Dragon with covetous eyes. Everything that just happened indicated that these chains possessed a certain amount of sentience, suggesting some autonomy. It reminded him of some similar legendary items in his past life. Unfortunately, he could only admire them from afar.

"Even if you are a descendant of Atris, you can't humiliate a powerful Red Dragon like this." The Red dragon, realizing it couldn't do much else, angrily said in Dragon Language.

"Powerful?" Muria squinted at the Red Dragon, which was tied up like a dead dog. He expressed his opinion without any restraint, "Heh!"

"Humph!" The Red Dragon, hearing Muria's mockery, turned his head away, shut his eyes, and ignored him.

"What are you going to do with my children?" Not knowing when the relatively smaller Red Dragon woke up, the first thing it saw upon awakening was the egg held by Muria and the maids.

Upon hearing this slightly magnetic and obviously female voice, Muria smiled, revealing his white teeth, "Your child? No, they belong to me now."
