Chapter 4: Chapter 4: The Monsters Guarding the Castle
Through the look on the maid's face, and his understanding of the habits of the Titan and Dragon races, Mureya felt he guessed what had happened then.
Having seen this "Gundam", Mureya, full of thoughts, followed Sophia to continue the tour of Crystal Castle.
"Master Mureya. Headmaid Sophia."
"Master Mureya. Headmaid Sophia."
...
While touring the castle with Sophia, he would occasionally bump into some dragonkin servants with golden scales on their faces. Upon seeing Mureya and Sophia, they would respectfully stand aside and greet them after their initial surprise.
"Sophia, how many dragonkin servants are there in the castle?" Mureya asked curiously.
"There are a total of 1,856 dragonkin servants," Sophia replied without hesitation.
"So many?" Mureya was astonished.
"The castle is too big, it needs so many hands."
"Do your dragonkin do other things? Like guarding or fighting?"
"We Dragonkin are only responsible for maintaining the castle, other creatures are responsible for guarding the castle."
"What creatures?"
"Please come this way, Master Mureya, you will know once we get up there." Sophia did not answer Mureya's question, but pointed to an upward staircase.
"Once we get up there, can I see the creatures guarding this castle?" Mureya looked at the golden-haired dragonkin girl.
"Of course."
After getting an affirmative answer, Mureya, filled with anticipation, stepped onto the stairs. This splendid and beautiful crystal castle, with its grand scale, what kind of creatures guard it?
The glorious sunlight fell, causing Mureya, who had stepped onto a large platform, to narrow his eyes slightly. A gentle wind blew, carrying the fresh scent of grass and a barely discernible salty sea smell.
Mureya looked far into the distance, he saw the vast azure ocean, endlessly extending until it intertwined with the blue sky and white clouds, inseparable.
Between the sea and the sky, within the clouds, various seabirds soared freely, occasionally some birds would dive into the sea, then pick up some delicious fish and fly high into the sky. Beneath the sea surface, huge sea beasts swam past, casting a large heart-throbbing shadow.
This spectacular and refreshing seascape only caught Mureya's attention for a moment before he shifted his gaze, because there was something more attention-grabbing beside him.
Mureya was now on a platform of the Crystal Castle, which his mother had built, and this castle was located in the middle of a large island, surrounded by mountains. However, this did not obstruct Mureya's view, because the height of the mountains was much lower than his current position, the mountains were beneath his feet.
With a high vantage point, Mureya also saw more islands. The island where the Golden Dragon Mother chose to build her castle was not a solitary one, but one of an archipelago. However, the location was a bit odd, the island the Golden Dragon Mother chose was not in the middle of the archipelago, but on the edge.
Of course, Mureya's attention was not on this island, even though the island was large and the ring mountains surrounding the castle were majestic, but none of these attracted Mureya's gaze.
His attention was focused on the creatures that Sophia said guarded the Crystal Castle.
For instance, at this moment, next to Mureya, stood a massive humanoid creature.
A cloud giant, whose skin color was between milky white and sky blue, with silvery hair and bright blue eyes. It wore a set of white armor adorned with luxurious floral patterns, held a giant scepter, and stood about 12 meters tall. To the current Mureya, this cloud giant's size was quite imposing.
Of course, as a Titan bloodline holder, Mureya was confident that he would soon surpass, or even eclipse, the size of the cloud giant.
"Hm?" As Mureya looked up at the cloud giant, the giant noticed him too. This intelligent creature was first taken aback, then focused his gaze on the golden dragon wings behind Mureya.
So, this giant, having guessed his identity through these dragon wings and the faint aura of power emanating from Mureya, still seemed somewhat uncertain, looking somewhat bewildered.
Then it saw Sophia, who had quietly walked behind Mureya and stood silently. The cloud giant recognized Sophia, the leader of all the dragonkin in the castle. In this castle, besides the legendary golden dragon Atirs, only one other prestigious being could make this dragonkin leader stand behind him.
Thus, the cloud giant confirmed Mureya's identity and his face changed again, revealing unabashed excitement and adoration.
Mureya chuckled involuntarily as he watched the cloud giant in front of him, whose face changed multiple times within a split second, similar to changing faces in a Sichuan opera.
However, his laughter faded quickly into a look of astonishment as the cloud giant, who behaved as if he would move mountains and drain seas, laid down his scepter and knelt on one knee. The giant's head, covered by a white helmet, was deeply bowed, allowing Mureya to see the back of his head.
"Greetings to His Majesty Mureya Iapertos Eronsalas!"
The thunder-like voice, full of zeal and infinite reverence and admiration, came from the kneeling cloud giant.
The loud voice alarmed all the cloud giants patrolling the castle, they all turned to look in Mureya's direction. Mureya Iapertos Eronsalas, they had been anticipating the owner of this name for a full five years, and today, they finally met him.
As pair after pair of blue eyes turned to him, Mureya admitted that he was overwhelmed. After all, in his former life, he was just an ordinary person who had not experienced much of the world. The attention of nearly a hundred cloud giants, each towering twelve meters tall, was more than a little unnerving.
Mureya felt as though his legs were shaking slightly. Fortunately, his silk pajamas completely concealed his body, so no one could tell whether his legs were indeed trembling.
What happened next shocked Mureya even more. The cloud giants guarding the castle, chanting his name, kneeled one after another in his direction, just like the cloud giant in front of him. Their heads bowed low, showing the backs of their helmeted heads.
Above the castle, patrolling griffins descended like raindrops. At the control of their masters, the cloud giants, they bowed and saluted to Mureya.
The commotion at the castle drew the attention of all the creatures on the island, and their gazes turned towards the platform of the Crystal Castle.
Higher in the sky, golden-scaled bipedal flying dragons dove towards the castle. On the nearby islands, towering giants surrounded by hurricanes strode towards the castle. Near the island, deep-blue-skinned giants surfaced from the sea, and one after the other, six-armed nagas broke through the sea surface and swam ashore...
All sorts of innumerable creatures gazed expectantly in the direction of the Crystal Castle, built by the Golden Dragon.
Atop the Crystal Castle, Mureya's face was completely stunned. He had never imagined that his appearance would cause such an uproar.
Mureya looked to Sophia for help, uncertain of what to do next.
"Master Mureya, please stand over there. They have been waiting to see you for a long time. Please accept their worship!" Once again, Sophia pointed to a spot.
Mureya followed the direction of the dragonkin leader's finger to a large viewing platform located in the middle of the castle. It was the highest point, and also the most prestigious spot in the castle.
Mureya's mouth twitched, it seemed there was no room for hesitation now. So, clenching his teeth, he headed for the highest viewing platform.
Outside the castle, on the circular mountain, on the slightly inclined prairies, on the sandy beaches by the sea, and in the crowded sea area around the island, all sorts of creatures stood, covering land, air, and sea.
Cloud giants, storm giants, mountain giants, tidal giants, bipedal flying dragons, griffins, ferocious eagles, ferocious lions, ferocious tigers... all sorts of ferocious beasts, nagas, mermaids...
Under the eager gazes of countless creatures, a slightly chubby humanoid figure appeared on the highest point of the castle and in the eyes of many extraordinary beings. He had a pair of golden dragon wings on his back, a pair of small horns on his head that many creatures couldn't see, and a long dragon tail that waved restlessly behind him.
Then, starting from outside the Crystal Castle, a huge cheer rang out. From the castle to the surrounding sea area of the island, all the creatures were cheering. The initial sounds were chaotic, but then they became more orderly. They were all shouting a name.
"Mureya Iapertos Eronsalas!"
"Mureya Iapertos Eronsalas!"
...
On the viewing platform of the castle, that small humanoid figure didn't seem so grand, with many creatures in the audience larger than him.
In the eyes of many creatures who could see the figure clearly, his appearance was not impressive, and his baby-like chubby stature lacked any majesty.
Yet, it was this very appearance that made numerous creatures start cheering earnestly, as they believed that this figure represented a perfect lineage of noble Titans and Dragons, just as they had hoped.
Because the stature of the gigantic five-meter-tall toddler was in no way inferior to the real Titan infants of the same age. It was easy to foresee that in the future, this figure would possess a physique and power no less than those of the pure-blooded Titans. His stature would be unmatched.
Once he reached adulthood, inheriting the noble bloodline of the Metallic Dragon, the strongest among dragons, he would have unparalleled majesty.
This was exactly why the creatures guarding the castle were cheering from the bottom of their hearts.
At this moment, Mureya was completely shocked. His heart was filled with a great sense of satisfaction. Nevertheless, a huge question arose in his heart...
