Killed Me? Now I Have Your Power

Chapter 122: Shall we?

Kaden knew the Cerveau had eyes everywhere, so he made sure to remain unseen when entering Waverith with Daela on his back.

Once inside, Zaki went to his own house alone after a tearful moment with Eimi, who couldn't help but cry as if she were never going to see him again. Even Zaki seemed to want to cry but managed to stop himself by repeating, "I do not cry, I am a respectable man."

A sentence weirdly similar to something Kaden once said.

But regardless, it worked wonders as he didn't cry… even if his eyes shimmered a little.

All in all… they were clearly exaggerating the situation.

Once Zaki was gone, the trio made their way back to the Warborn estate.

Inside the Warborn meeting room, Garros and Serene sat side by side facing Kaden and Daela, their eyes unable to leave Daela, staring at the state of her body.

They stayed silent for a moment before,

"How was it?" Garros asked, his voice calm, but the space around them cracked violently, distortion lines tearing the air as if reality itself was about to snap apart.

Serene said nothing, yet her void-black eyes devoured everything around her. objects subtly dissolving and disintegrating under her quiet pressure.

Kaden looked at his parents, who seemed ready to blow this entire mansion apart with a flicker of their will.

'Hm… I need to evolve my intent.' He couldn't help but wonder what his intent would become once developed further.

He shook his head and focused back on the present as Daela responded,

"It was nothing." Her voice was flat, her face colder than death.

"I am Warborn."

And that was all.

No more words were needed. She was a Warborn. Torture, pain, even death were not things that affected them.

Instantly, the pressure in the room diminished. The cracks in the space sealed themselves. Their daughter was still here. Whole. Unbroken.

They knew Daela was mentally strong, but the nature of parents… it was inevitable to worry when your daughter returned in such a state.

They welcomed pain—pain made you grow—but this? This was different. This was sadistic. This was meaningless.

They could not accept that.

But first,

"My baby… how did you succeed?" Serene asked, her eyes gleaming with curiosity.

They had been told the City of Steel was guarded by a Grandmaster-ranked beast. To them, that level was a joke. Either of them could have wiped the place out without breaking a sweat.

They thought Goremaw and his high general would be present, and that was what they prepared for. But a single Grandmaster?

If they had known, they would have crushed the city without hesitation.

…Lack of information. What a pity.

Kaden simply smiled, "I'm a genius."

A simple answer that disappointed both parents and sister who had wanted a proper explanation.

But if Kaden didn't want to speak, they wouldn't press him.

"I'll kill them all," Daela said suddenly, and the room's temperature dropped instantly as the atmosphere grew razor-sharp.

"They killed my men… they killed Sana, my maid… they killed Boris… they killed them all…"

The more she spoke, the more her killing intent surged, slicing through furniture, walls, decorations—anything in her path. Her anger was palpable, her soul howling for vengeance.

Serene said nothing as her expensive ornaments were shredded like paper, only watching Daela's expressionless face, a girl who looked like she would slice the world in two if given the chance.

"I need to step into the Grandmaster rank," Daela declared.

Immediately, Garros and Serene frowned.

"Are you sure? The path to Grandmaster is another league, my child. You need more time to prepare," Serene warned.

"Yes. If you fail, you either die or you're stuck at Master forever. Don't be reckless," Garros added gently but firmly.

But Daela didn't budge. Her mind was already made up.

Kaden, silent so far, finally spoke.

"There's no need to rush, sister. Be ready first. This war won't end soon. There are still many steps left."

His tone was soft, but his eyes gleamed with steel.

"Don't gamble your future in a moment of fury. We'll get our revenge…together."

"Do you believe in me?" he asked.

"Yes."

No hesitation. No pause. Just certainty.

He smiled.

"Then leave it to me."

"I just need one thing from you," Kaden said, drawing the full attention of his parents and sister.

"It's simple for you."

"I just want you to cause chaos. Everywhere. Make them fear. Make them doubt. Don't give them time to think or breathe."

"Let's show them who they think we are."

He grinned.

"A clan of brainless brutes."

"Can you do that?"

Their grins mirrored his.

"That's our specialty," Garros and Serene replied in perfect unison.

Kaden smirked wider.

Daela just stared at him, the smirk on his face, the little devil's grin, and her heart melted again.

'My little brother is just too cute.'

Truly…

She is a lost cause.

Back in his room, Kaden sat on the edge of his bed with Little Rory perched on his head.

His parents had used a legendary-ranked regenerative potion and Daela's body was now nearly restored to normal. He was shocked to see such a potion here, but his parents had only looked at him with disdain.

'We're extremely rich. We're the best blacksmiths, don't forget,' his father had said smugly.

But Kaden just clicked his tongue.

They were rich, and here he was, acting like a beggar in Fokay.

'Making my life difficult for no damn reason, I swear…' he thought, still annoyed by it.

But his eyes flicked to the panel in front of him.

[You have gained: Death Coins: 5000 | Stat Points: 300.]

'How many total now?'

[Death Coins: 14000 | Stat Points: 300.]

He nodded.

"Master… I was so lonely," Little Rory suddenly said, sulking on his head.

Reditha flashed into view, orbiting Rory like a star, comforting her with silent, fiery affection.

"I'm sorry. I didn't want to strain you more after what my parents did to you," Kaden said softly, gently petting her until she purred like a spoiled cat.

It was absurd. But also… endearing.

Then Kaden froze.

His head snapped up, his senses flaring.

And then, he smirked.

"Well… finally," he muttered before grabbing Reditha and Rory and vanishing from the room in a blur of speed.

Nightfall.

Kaden stood once again at the edge of Waverith's gate, hidden in the folds of darkness. He watched in silence, his eyes gleaming.

And then he saw her.

A figure walking through the gates, covered in a blue coat but Kaden recognized her instantly.

Selene Cerveau.

He grinned.

'Well… let's finish our conversation, shall we?'
