Killed Me? Now I Have Your Power

Chapter 108: Yours.

[Do you wish to integrate it?] Death asked.

"So, I will have two Origins inside me?" Kaden asked curiously.

[You will.]

"Is that something… incredible?" Kaden asked again, genuinely unsure.

[It's a rare occurrence. But some people have more than one Origin.]

[They are called Irregulars if they have two or three.]

These words made Kaden pause.

"I beg your pardon? There are beings with more than three?" he asked incredulously.

[Fokay and Darklore are vast, and their waters deep and again, Host, there are many things you do not even know exist.]

That response made Kaden go quiet. He was starting to understand that there were truly monsters out there… but there was one thing that interested him more than anything else.

"Do they have a system like you?" Kaden asked, eyes sharp. That was all he needed to know.

[There is no one like me. Even my birth is something no miracle, no divine algorithm, no cosmic whim could replicate. I was born within you… a mortal who desired death more than anything else because of his trauma.]

[I am yours. My power… is yours. Uniquely yours.]

Those words made Kaden smile as he briefly remembered his life on Earth.

His smile widened.

"I guess there really is good in every situation… even those that feel like the whole world is stacked against you," he muttered, shaking his head.

He refocused on the matter of Origin.

It was surprising, shocking even, that there were people with multiple Origins.

But he didn't care. Because if needed, he could obtain dozens. Maybe even hundreds.

'I just need to die enough.' Kaden thought with a smirk, but then—

"But I'm not interested in hoarding Origins. I'm a Warborn. I only need one weapon… my sword… my Reditha."

"So, use synthesis. Enhance Reditha by using this Origin as fuel," Kaden ordered calmly.

Death responded instantly, and deep inside Kaden, a profound transformation began.

His Origin, Bloodsoaked Sword King, was now being enhanced by the newly gained Blue Flaming Body.

The process was almost poetic in its simplicity. The Blue Flaming Body was deconstructed into countless blue particles, each glowing softly as they wrapped around Kaden's origin, which took the shape of a sword dripping in a bottomless pool of blood.

Kaden didn't feel any pain. Not in this space.

But something instinctual told him—something inside was changing, permanently.

The blood sword inside of him, Reditha, drank the blue flame like a Bloodthirsty Demoness consuming a blue star as she forged within herself a new dreadful power for her owner.

The process went on for an unknown amount of time until finally… it ended.

A panel appeared in front of him.

[Your Origin has been slightly altered.

The Blue Flaming Body Origin has enhanced the skill: "Flame of Blood."]

[Additionally, your own blood is now combustible. Every time you bleed, your blood will ignite—unless you intentionally suppress it.]

[There is a seed of fire inside your heart. Grow it… and you will obtain something magnificent.]

And then,

[Flame of Blood: You can burn blood and any liquid inside your opponent's body. Additionally, you can burn mana and burn the very bloodline of a being, up to two ranks above your own.]

The notifications finally stopped, giving Kaden a moment to process what he had just gained.

Needless to say… it was absurd.

His Flame of Blood had already been rare, already powerful.

But now?

"Burn the very bloodline of a being…? Goodness me…" Kaden muttered, placing a hand on his mouth, more shocked than smug.

Because truly… you don't understand what he had just obtained.

He had acquired the ability to erase roots, to sever connections to ancestors, to obliterate lineage, to erase the very legacy embedded within someone's blood.

And in worlds like Fokay and Darklore, where most Origins were tied to bloodlines…

Then this ability was nothing short of a nightmare.

"I'll do wonders with this flame," Kaden whispered as he activated the skill.

Instantly, a new flame bloomed into life.

It still carried the crimson fury of its original form, but now… blue stars sparkled within it, each swirl and flicker glowing like a constellation burning inside a scarlet sun.

The sight was mesmerizing.

But Kaden noticed something else too, the weight of the flame.

He hadn't felt it before, but now that the skill had evolved, the difficulty of controlling it had grown exponentially.

He can sense he will lose control of it if he didn't focus for even one second.

And he couldn't accept that.

He looked around, taking in the infinite darkness around him—a place Death had once said had no meaning of time or space.

And all this… was within him?

Born from his existence?

It made him wonder, only for a moment, if perhaps… he had always been special.

But that thought passed as quickly as it came.

He focused.

Control. Mastery. Precision.

He needed to wield this new fire, not just awaken it.

So, he began training.

First, the basics—shaping the fire into a single sphere, then into a dagger, then into a sword.

Thanks to his experience with blood manipulation, this was simple.

He pressed on.

Two spheres. Three. A dozen. Two dozen.

Soon he was shifting between multiple constructs—hands, faces, weapons, chairs—whatever he could imagine, he sculpted it with flame.

Time passed. Or didn't.

It was impossible to tell.

But eventually, Kaden was satisfied.

He sat cross-legged in the abyss, expression calm and focused, his eyes closed. Crimson flames enveloped his body, glimmering with blue stars that spun and danced like galaxies trapped inside wildfire.

He looked like a heavenly hermit in eternal seclusion, untouched by time.

And then, slowly, his eyes opened.

When those crimson eyes met the glow of his flame, and the flicker of light kissed his shoulder-length, jet-black hair…

It was a sight to behold.

A sight Daela would immortalize in secret, in a hidden chamber only she could access.

A sight Meris would capture and build an entire room around, just to stare at it every day, drooling like a possessed artist.

"Death," Kaden said as he rose. "Revive me."

[Cost: 400 death coins.]

And then—

Tick!
