The activation of Nick's Barrier was the signal for a calamity.

Everything around Nick moved at impossible speeds.

Despite his Barrier being active for only a split second, things already started to happen before it even deactivated.

A massive white laser hit the ground far away from Nick and dug into the ground.

He had hit Lust again!

The Right Arm pulled a majestic claymore out of its sheath and charged towards Lust.

He swung the claymore, and a crescent of white light flew forward at lightspeed.

The crescent hit something, and Lust's precise location appeared in the Right Arm's mind.

BANG!

The Right Arm continued shooting forward, continually releasing lasers all around him.

The earth shook and collapsed.

It was like the end of the world had arrived!

Lust's location was continuously updated in the Right Arm's mind.

Then, he thrust his sword forward, unleashing a focused laser.

BANG!

A 30-kilometer-long but thin hole was created.

The power of the Right Arm was terrifying.

However, the hole didn't only pierce the ground.

It also pierced Lust's abdomen!

When the Right Arm saw that, his eyes widened, and a terrifying white light appeared in them.

His entire body shone in impossibly bright light.

An identical laser to the first one shot out from the Right Arm's body.

When the thin laser had pierced Lust, it already knew that it was over.

"I'll help humanity!"

That was what Lust transmitted at that point.

Yet, the gigantic laser arrived just an instant later, swallowing Lust's entire body.

The Right Arm had killed Lust.

Another Corruptor had died.

When Lust died, the other Corruptors, the Trio of Destruction and Death, immediately noticed.

But this time was very different from the last time a Corruptor had died.

Last time, they knew where the Knife was.

This time, they didn't.

They also remembered what happened last time.

Humanity had been prepared for them, and the only thing they had gotten from their attack was the destruction of a single stronghold.

The Specters immediately communicated with each other.

Only a single second after Lust died, Death's terrifying black mist appeared on the horizon of Aegis' headquarters again.

The Champion of Light, the Left Arm, and the Technician appeared in front of Aegis' headquarters and entered battle.

Naturally, Death knew that it couldn't take out Aegis, but that was not its goal.

It just wanted to keep the three Shields busy.

It gave space to the others.

Aegis knew that the Trio of Destruction would launch an attack.

Due to the Knife's unknown location, Aegis knew that the Corruptors would not strike.

The Knife could kill any Corruptor in an instant, and if the Specters were not careful, they might lose another Corruptor.

However, attacking with their Adversaries was also risky.

Aegis couldn't be sure how or where the Trio of Destruction would strike.

They could be launching attacks on random strongholds, but they could also focus on a Shield.

It was a gamble.

Should they split their forces to cover more ground or consolidate them?

Naturally, the Shields had talked about that earlier and came up with a plan.

Inside the gigantic cave he had made, the Right Arm just held his shining claymore over his shoulder.

A smile was on his face.

Surprisingly, he didn't seem to be in a hurry to get to a stronghold to deal with the Specter's attack.

Moments later, a dying zombie pulling a hearse of corpses appeared at the entrance of the newly created cave.

A green gas came off the corpses and filled the cave.

Next, an endless army of locusts flew into the cave.

The Right Arm looked up, a victorious smile on his face.

"My journey ends here," he said as he saw the locusts rushing at him.

"You might kill me today, but there will be more to replace me!"

"I killed one of your Corruptors, and that's more than I thought I would be able to achieve!"

"Humanity will live on!" he shouted as his claymore started to shine.

The green gas and the locusts enveloped him.

BOOOOOOOM!

A gigantic explosion of light destroyed the ground for kilometers before blinding the heavens.

"Come!" the Right Arm shouted with all of his power.

Impossibly powerful earthquakes shook the southern part of the Grand Continent.

Crevices, kilometers wide, stretched for hundreds of kilometers.

More and more locusts entered the underground.

Finally, an entire three seconds later, something else happened.

The zombie with the hearse fled.

The cloud of locusts waiting beside the cave left…

And a gigantic red tank appeared at the entrance of the cave, the muzzle of its cannon pointed down.

War fired.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The ground exploded.

A crater with a radius of over 20 kilometers was created.

An instant later, a kilometer-wide stream of magma shot out from the ground and flew into the sky.

War was surrounded by the lava, but it didn't care.

War waited for just a tiny moment before vanishing.

Famine and Pestilence had weakened the Right Arm's Zephyx, and War finished the job.

From the moment the Right Arm had received Nick's signal, he knew that he wouldn't see the next day.

When the Shields created the plan, they originally planned to consolidate their forces.

But then, the Right Arm had stepped forward.

"We have over ten Peak Protectors that can become Shields, but we are always lacking in Protectors. A Shield can be easily replaced. Protectors can't."

Then, the Right Arm laughed.

"Also,I think Zandur will easily surpass me in power if we just give him the chance."

So, it was decided.

The Shields would protect the strongholds while leaving the Right Arm to fend for himself.

War's blast represented the end of the calamity.

In the past ten seconds, a Corruptor and a Shield had died.

However, not even a single Extractor, besides the Right Arm, died.

Humanity had dealt a devastating blow to Death.

But on the other hand, one of their most noble people was killed.

The Right Arm had been the Champion's public face.

The Right Arm had shown himself in many cities, and he had been one of the most recognized people in the world.

The Right Arm had stayed in the light, while the Left Arm stayed in the shadows.

The battle was over, and both sides had lost something.

Nevertheless, this was a trade that Aegis was willing to take.

Meanwhile, the Trio of Destruction knew that they had lost more.

Sure, Lust had been weaker than the Right Arm, but its effect on the world had been significant.

Lust had been ancient, and it knew how to take control of human cities.

This power was shared amongst the Corruptors, and it was the very reason why they were so valuable and dangerous.

Any new servant would lack the experience to achieve something like that.

While the world was calming down, a red-haired Specter with luxurious clothing waltzed through the wasteland.

Naturally, Nick had disguised himself again before the Trio of Destruction arrived.

As long as he looked like a regular Specter, the Trio of Destruction wouldn't even pay him any mind.

The reason for this calamity, Nick, was not noticed by the Trio of Destruction.

As before, they didn't know that Nick existed.
