KARNA love and life of a girl

Krishna priya looks like a quiet girl on outside and is not a mischievious girl inside. She is not so outspoken but when she talks she can carry herself confidently without loosing to anyone . She does not allow anyone to berate her father or anyone whom she holds dear.

Muthyalaiah as he walks towards door with his farming tools '' krishnamma, close the door properly , i'll come back by afternoon to have lunch. Is there anything you want? ''..

Krishna nodding her head in response and ''father, you don't need to come back afternoon. I will prepare the lunch and bring it to you. And also I would like to help you with your farming'' looking at her toes as she spoke those words. On hearing these words muthyalaiah looks at her daughter with concern and '' krishnamma, you don't need to worry about that. And you know that there are more than enough people to work at our farm. And.... can i ask you to bring me brinjal curry with spinach dal? I miss it. Its been a while since i had them.'' Slowly patting her head with a hearty smile. Hearing those words from her father krishna just nodded her head as her response to bring her father his favorite dishes. And after looking at his daughter with a small smile muthyalaiah went to farm.

Muthyalaiah own 30 acres of land of which 12 acres was inherited from his ancestors and with his hardwork he made it 30 acres. As he walked through his land labourers who were already working in the field greeted him with full respect and enthusiasm. He then joined them in their work as usual.

Krishna ..at home thinking ' i should not have asked father that. I made him worried again. He even made all maids quit in the house except one when I stubbornly insisted that I'll do every work. I should not make him worry again. Now i will just prepare his favourite dishes and bring those to father. He wil be very happy.' Thinking that she asked her only maid to get the vegetables for the lunch preparation. Her maid name is kasthuri.. the reason she stayed despite all maids gone is that she was the one who looked after krishna since her infancy.. so she is like mother to krishna . And kasthuri loves krishna very much and spoils her in every way during her childhood but when she did anything wrong kasthuri did not hesitate to reprimand krishna. And then

Kasthuri went and brought bringal, tomato, spinach, green chilli from their kitchen garden and handed them over to krishna.

Krishna was washing the rice in an aluminium vessel after she made fire out of firewood in kitchen. After washing the rice she placed that over fire with lid half closed.

After that she took a large bowl with water enough to wash the vegetables ,she started peparing the ingredients like she cut brinjal into four hpieces vertically with stem intact at above.,washed and tore the spinach and green chilli, washed dal and kept it aside.

While preparing the dishes kasthuri did not interfere with krishna and she just stood there silently watching over.

And krishna made masala for brinjal curry with bay leaves,clove, pepper , dried red chilli, oil, peanuts, chana dal, and moongdal which are dry roasted and made into fine paste with the help of mortar and pestle and that is stuffed into brinjal....and as the rice cooked she placed that vessel on the opposite side of her and made another fire. She put two vessels over fire into one she added water and other one oil. She added stuffed brinjal to slightly heated oil and slightly roasted those. By this time water in other vessel were brought to boil to which krishna added dal, green chilli, spinach,a little amount of turmeric, a piece of dried tamarind , tomato pieces and closed the lid. Then after as dal is being prepared brinjal curry is cooking properly. She took a ladle and slightly moved the brinjal and confirmed they are roasted perfectly , she added salt,turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder and sauted them while feeling the beautiful aroma of the dish. And after a short time brinjal curry was over and placed that beside rice. She opened lid of the vessel in which dal is cooked , she added some salt and made cooked dal mushy using a special stick. And after she took a small iron bowl and placed it over nearly put off fire, to which she added a little oil, mustard, cumin, curry leaves ,dried red chilli and lastly pieces of onion and garlic. After roasting them, she added the mixture to dal and stirred it well enough to mix everything..... as everything completed krishna asked kasthuri to bring carrier to her father .kasthuri brought them

She gently and carefully packed lunch for her father and herself along with curd and few banana leaves.

Krishna '' kasthuri aunt, i will be leaving the house in your care . Please have your food while still hot. And i will come back soon''. Kasthuri ' okay krishna , be careful on your way to fields. There will be lots of wet land which may cause you slip. Walk with caution . Okay?'' with worried expression. On hearing those words krishna '' aunt , please dont treat me like a 3 year old kid'' with flushed face remembering as she often tripped over during her visits to fields. ''Okay okay.. be careful and have a good meal'' kasthuri replied srroking krishna's head with love and affection.

She took the lunch box in a basket she made herself she set out to field. Just as she stepped out of her yard, a voice came ''krishnaaaaaaaa''... as soon as krishna heard the voice her face lit up and looked in the direction from which the voice came. A young lady of 19 years coming through in a hurried manner towards her.
