Kakashi Masters All Elements, Rewrites the Ninja World for Rin!

Chapter 87: Chapter 87: Twin Pairs of Mangekyō!

"Who—who's talking?!"

Obito was shocked and snapped his head up from disappointment—only to find Kakashi and Rin had disappeared without a trace.

Standing in front of him was a ninja with scarlet eyes… who looked exactly like him!

"Who are you?!"

"Why do you look like me?"

"Where did you take Kakashi and Rin?!"

Obito raised his kunai, eyes narrowed and full of guarded suspicion.

"Haha, there's no need to act like this," the other ninja said with a grin. "Because I am you."

"What?" Obito blinked, uncertain he heard right. "Do you think I'm three years old?"

"To be precise… I'm the dark side of your heart."

The figure smiled with eerie familiarity.

"Dark side?"

Obito frowned, not buying it. But the bizarre scene defied explanation.

Unless…

"I get it. This is an illusion, right?"

"Heh. I'll admit—you trapped me in a genjutsu without me noticing. Impressive."

"But in front of these eyes… all illusions are meaningless!"

Obito activated his twin tomoe Sharingan proudly.

"Genjutsu: Release!"

But the figure claiming to be his "dark side" remained right where he was, watching him with an amused expression—like a tiger observing confused prey.

Damn it!

Why didn't it break?

Could he really be… the darkness within me?

But I have no reason to fall into darkness!

"You're wondering why I appeared, aren't you?"

Dark Obito's voice sliced through Obito's thoughts.

"Haha, you don't need to look so shocked. Since I'm your dark side, I already know exactly what you're thinking."

He chuckled mockingly.

His scarlet Sharingan gleamed with unsettling intensity.

"You like Rin, don't you? But Kakashi took her from you."

"What you value most is the bond between you, Kakashi, and Rin—but now some random guy named Shisui has replaced you in an instant!"

"You feel abandoned… bitter… even hateful."

Dark Obito's voice rose in sharp accusation.

He expected an emotional outburst. Rage. Denial. Anything.

But instead, Obito just shrugged, eyes calm.

"If I had doubts before…"

"Your words just confirmed you're not my dark side. You're just a genjutsu user fishing for a reaction."

Dark Obito's smile faltered. For the first time, he looked confused.

How…? Wasn't that emotional jab enough?

Where's the outrage? The heartbreak?

This guy's an Uchiha, right?

Obito, sensing his confusion, sneered.

"I'll admit—what you said was tempting. You even hit the mark about me feeling displaced by Shisui."

"But you completely underestimated how much I trust Rin and Kakashi."

"The three of us grew up together. We ate together, trained together, got into Minato-sensei's class, took the Chūnin Exams side by side, and bled together on the battlefield."

"The bond we forged through all that? You think a few cheap words can unravel it?"

"And as for Kakashi stealing Rin?"

"That's just called fair competition between men."

"Besides, I gave up… not because of Kakashi, but because Rin's heart was already his."

"So don't insult me, you cheap knockoff!"

By the end, Obito's voice rose in righteous fury.

This illusion dared to manipulate his heart?

Unforgivable.

If genjutsu release won't work… then he'd use force.

"Wood Style: Cutting Technique!"

Puff!!

A long wooden spike shot from Obito's right arm and pierced through Dark Obito's chest with vicious speed.

And as Obito formed a second hand seal, the wooden spike branched and twisted, ripping through the impostor from the inside out.

Even Obito—normally calm and kind—revealed fury in that savage technique.

"Hahahaha!"

Despite the gruesome injury, Dark Obito didn't scream or resist.

Instead, he laughed wildly.

"Impressive. I underestimated you..."

"But unfortunately for you—I've already won!"

"Open your eyes and see for yourself—who did you just attack?"

"Kakashi!!"

Obito suddenly heard Rin's shriek of despair echoing behind him.

Snap!

The illusion shattered like glass, and reality returned—

Kakashi stood in front of him, bleeding from every orifice, a long wooden spike lodged in his chest.

Rin screamed and dashed forward, smashing the spike apart with a chakra-enhanced punch.

She quickly laid Kakashi down, green healing chakra forming in her palms as she pressed them against his chest.

"You'll be fine… You'll be fine…!"

"Kakashi, your recovery ability is insane—you've survived worse, right?!"

"Y-Yeah, c'mon, Kakashi, use the Byakugō Technique! Now would be a great time!"

Rin's voice cracked as she tried to keep calm—but the miracle she hoped for didn't come.

There were no spreading seal marks, no regeneration.

In Rin's tear-blurred vision, Kakashi's pulse slowed… then faded entirely.

Gone.

"No…!"

"Kakashi, please, don't die!"

Rin clutched his lifeless body tightly, sobbing as his pale face grew colder in her arms.

"Please… please…"

Shisui turned, drawn by Rin's cries, and witnessed the scene.

He saw the broken spike. Saw Obito, standing frozen in shock.

He rushed toward them, ignoring the retreating Kaguya clan members, who—leaderless and terrified—no longer dared to fight.

"You're kidding…"

"I killed Kakashi… with my own hands?"

Obito stared blankly at the scene—at Rin's grief, Kakashi's corpse.

"I… did this?"

"Obito-senpai, why would you do this?!"

Shisui stormed over in a frenzy of confusion and sorrow.

He saw the memory of Kakashi's smile—of the brave man who'd faced the Mizukage alone to buy them time.

As emotions surged, his three-tomoe Sharingan spun faster and faster—until they fused into the shape of a shuriken.

Mangekyō.

But then—he reached out to grab Obito's arm in a rage.

His hand passed right through.

"What—?!"

At the same moment, Obito raised his head slowly.

His eyes had changed too.

Three curved blades spun within the iris—three death scythes forming a complete ring.

Obito and Shisui… both awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan in the same instant.
