If you say to write correct characters, then write correct characters.

At the very least, actions should match words.

Just empty talk wouldn't fool the narrator.

So, Amamiya transformed into a "hungry wolf," his expression fierce, as he grabbed a marker and pushed the pink haired girl down onto the bench.

"Don't!"

"I'd rather die than surrender!"

"I won't let you write anything on my thighs! What if my mom finds out?"

"..."

Sajuna felt a strange mixture of emotions as she watched their exaggerated performance.

(If I hadn't teamed up with Chika-chan, wouldn't I be the one pushed down and bullied right now?)

Rustle.

A peculiar noise reached Sajuna's ears.

"What's that sound…?"

Turning around, she saw Komi trembling violently, as if caught in a storm. Despite being a head taller, she looked as fragile as a leaf in the wind.

"R-report... to the police?!"

Komi's already pale face turned ghostly white as she nervously flipped open her notebook.

When Sajuna saw the words scrawled on the page, she was speechless.

(Why report a crime?)

(It's not necessary at all.)

It was obvious from Chika's flushed face that she wasn't scared in the slightest. If anything, she was too into the performance.

But the narrator continued ominously.

Spelling out the truth now might only complicate things.

After hesitating for a moment, Sajuna leaned closer and whispered:

"But we don't have a phone. How would we even call the police?"

"..."

Komi froze in place, petrified.

(This is a game-generated space. Even if you tried to call the police, no one would show up.)

After a few seconds of stunned silence, Komi lowered her head and stared at her toes.

(Have she given up?)

Sajuna let out a small sigh of relief.

(Just don't make a scene.)

(Wait... what does she mean to keep glancing left and right like that?)

Moments later, Komi raised her head, determination flickering in her dark eyes. She bit her lower lip, gripping the notebook tightly, and then began crumpling it in her hands.

Sajuna noticed but couldn't react in time.

(What is she planning?)

Komi took a deep breath, clutching the rolled-up notebook like a makeshift weapon. Her delicate face, usually timid, now bore an expression of quiet resolve as she stepped toward Amamiya.

(No way...)

(Are you planning to rescue Chika-chan?)

Sajuna's eyes widened as realization hit.

(When she was looking around earlier... was she searching for a weapon?)

(In a horror game, she's willing to challenge danger for someone else's sake? She's far too kind!)

"Komi-san, wait!"

Sajuna darted forward, reaching out to stop her, but it was already too late.

Amamiya had been theatrically "bullying" the pink haired girl, so absorbed in his act that he didn't notice the approaching figure until it was too late.

Thwack.

The rolled-up notebook collided with Amamiya's head, producing a dull, hollow sound.

"..."

Silence fell over the scene like a heavy blanket.

Straightening his posture, Amamiya slowly turned his head, his eyes narrowing as they locked onto the trembling Komi, who clutched the notebook tightly in both hands.

His voice was calm but chilling. "Why did you hit me?"

"..."

Komi trembled like a cornered animal before a predator. Though her body shook uncontrollably, she somehow found her voice and stammered:

"D-don't hurt..."

"What did you say?" Amamiya tilted his head slightly, his expression unreadable. "I didn't catch that. Speak louder."

Komi's trembling grew even more violent.

(So, so scary! Is there really such a terrifying boy in the world? What should I do? Will he bully me too, just like he did just now?)

"Don't bully Komi-san."

Chika stood up and reached out, pinching Amamiya's waist.

"I'm sorry, I was wrong," Amamiya immediately raised his hands in surrender, his tone earnest. "Please forgive me."

"Huh?"

Komi blinked in confusion, her wide eyes betraying a mixture of shock and uncertainty. She clearly didn't know how to react.

"They were just acting earlier. It's not what it looked like," Sajuna took a cautious step forward and explained softly, "He wasn't really bullying Chika-chan."

"It really was acting!" Chika added, her cheerful smile as bright as sunlight. "Anyway, thank you for what you did just now."

"…"

Komi blinked again before gradually nodding, choosing to believe her.

That radiant smile carried no trace of fear or resentment. It was as though the earlier scene was entirely misunderstood.

"Actually, it was for the narration..."

Chika placed a hand on her hip and began explaining everything.

Amamiya, meanwhile, sighed heavily and rubbed his forehead. "And in the end, I'm the only one who gets hurt. This world really is coming to an end."

"Oh, come on, it was just a notebook. It couldn't have hurt that much," Chika teased, brushing it off lightly.

Komi, snapping out of his daze, hurriedly picked up her notebook and wrote:

"I'm so sorry! I completely misunderstood you, and I even hit you on the head! Please forgive me!"

The girl with long black hair bowed deeply, her apology as sincere as her 90-degree bow.

But then, just as she straightened up, Komi's body swayed alarmingly, and she began to collapse forward.

"Hey, Komi-san!"

"Are you okay?"

Concerned voices filled the air as Amamiya reacted quickly, stepping forward to grab her shoulders and steady her.

"Not feeling well?" Amamiya asked, frowning slightly as he looked at her pale, delicate face.

"…"

Komi bit her lower lip nervously, unable to answer aloud. Instead, she quickly scribbled in her notebook:

"I'm fine, just a little dizzy."

"Could it be a fever?" Sajuna suggested hesitantly.

"Let me check!" Chika reached out, gently pressing the back of her hand to Komi-san's forehead before comparing it to her own. "It's icy cold, not hot at all. Doesn't seem like a fever."

Amamiya squinted at the black-haired girl thoughtfully. A system prompt suddenly appeared in front of him:

[Mental energy has been overconsumed, resulting in weakness. While writing in the notebook is effective, moderation is required.]

"It's your skill," Amamiya concluded. "You've never written so much in your notebook before, have you?"

Komi-san shook her head timidly.

"Writing uses mental energy," Amamiya explained. "Your dizziness and discomfort are symptoms of overuse. Stop writing for now and put the notebook away."

Komi nodded obediently, clutching the notebook but refraining from using it.

The tense moment passed, and the group refocused.

"Kaguya-chan, Umi-chan, and Hanamori-chan still haven't been found," Chika said seriously. "Instead of heading back to the restaurant, let's stop at the convenience store and make a copy of the map. Sounds good?"

Amamiya nodded. "Let's go."

With their plan settled, the group set off.

But they hadn't gone far when Sajuna suddenly spoke up.

"Wait! Komi-san doesn't look well."

Amamiya turned to see Komi struggling. Her face was pale, her brows furrowed tightly, and her teeth pressed into her lower lip. It was clear she couldn't keep up with the group.

The others noticed too, and all eyes fell on her. Flustered, Komi quickly reached for her notebook to explain herself.

"Don't write!" Amamiya scolded gently but firmly. "Let me guess—you're about to say, 'I'm fine, don't worry, and I'm sorry for causing everyone trouble,' right?"

Komi-san's wide eyes betrayed her surprise.

(Can... Can he read my mind?)
