Journey to the West: Tang Monk Conquers Everything

Chapter 827: Sun Wukong's Senior Brother!

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

Sun Wukong transformed into a mosquito and flew around Eastern Temple, without drawing any attention.

Finding a secluded corner, Sun Wukong transformed back into his original form, holding the Treasure-Seeking Mirror to see where its arrow was pointing.

Then he turned back into a mosquito, flew a bit along the direction of the arrow, and then changed back again.

Repeating this process dozens of times, Sun Wukong, with his cultivation level and familiarity with these actions, spent a considerable amount of time and circles before he finally arrived at the entrance of an underground palace.

At the entrance, several monks were guarding it.

"Could it be that the Calamity Book is hidden in here?" Sun Wukong was a bit surprised in his heart.

After thinking it over, he transformed into a mosquito and flew towards the entrance of the underground palace, then directly slipped through a gap and entered inside.

Once inside, Sun Wukong returned to his original form and checked the Treasure-Seeking Mirror again.

The mirror's arrow had turned into a circle. Sun Wukong knew exactly what this meant.

This indicated that he was now exactly aligned with the Calamity Book's location. It must either be above his head or beneath his feet.

If it were above, he would notice it. Therefore, it must be beneath his feet.

Sun Wukong put away the Treasure-Seeking Mirror and began to slowly walk downwards, curiously observing everything in the underground palace.

"Hehehe, how amusing, a little monkey has wandered in..." As Sun Wukong descended, several demons in a nearby prison spoke to him with strange smiles on their faces.

One of them, a demon with a blue face and sharp fangs, licked his lips, his eyes revealing hunger as if he had seen a great feast: "Although this monkey has hardly any meat on him, he could still satisfy a craving!"

"Hah! You demons, you don't know what's good for you, wanting to eat me, Grandpa Sun? I'm afraid your teeth aren't sharp enough!"

If it were an ordinary person sneaking in, they would avoid unnecessary trouble. But how could Sun Wukong tolerate such insults from demons? His face filled with anger, he retorted aggressively.

"Oh? This little monkey may not have much meat, but he certainly has a temper!" The demons, instead of being angered by Sun Wukong's words, seemed even more interested.

To these demons, eating Sun Wukong would be a great reward.

But beforehand, having a new monkey to converse with wasn't bad either.

Even if it was just for a heated argument.

"Oh? Really? Grandpa Sun not only has a sharp tongue but even sharper skills!" Sun Wukong said with narrowed eyes.

"Oh really? How about you let me out and we see who's stronger?" The blue-faced demon challenged Sun Wukong with reverse psychology.

"Why let you out? I'll just put my head in, let's see if you can bite through it!" Sun Wukong laughed, approaching the cell and sticking his head inside.

Whoosh!

The blue-faced demon acted quickly, grabbing Sun Wukong and dragging him into the cell.

These demons were massive with blue faces and sharp fangs, looking extremely fierce.

Compared to them, Sun Wukong's small figure seemed insignificant.

The cell had large gaps, and Sun Wukong was pulled through one into the cell.

"Hahaha, little monkey, you're asking for death!"

The demon laughed triumphantly, opening its large mouth to bite down on Sun Wukong's head.

This bite was enough to take off Sun Wukong's entire head.

"Wait, don't eat him all yourself!" Seeing this, the other demons in the cell rushed over, opening their mouths wide to bite at Sun Wukong.

Crunch!

One after another, the demons bit down on Sun Wukong.

However, instead of meat, they felt like they were biting into steel, their teeth aching painfully.

"What is this!? How is this monkey's bone so hard!?" The demon who bit Sun Wukong's head was shocked.

"Hehehe, eat me? I'm right here, yet you can't bite me?" Despite being bitten by several demons, Sun Wukong remained calm.

"This is... the Vajra Indestructible Body skill!?"

One of the more knowledgeable demons let go of Sun Wukong, looking shocked. Anyone who could learn this divine skill must be very powerful.

"You couldn't eat me, now it's my turn!" Sun Wukong grinned, revealing his sharp white teeth, and lunged at the demons.

Ah!

Terrible screams echoed in the prison, and the scent of blood quickly filled the air.

Moments later, Sun Wukong wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and stepped out of the cell.

Behind him, several large and fierce demons lay on the ground, their throats torn out, drenched in blood.

They were unmistakably dead.

As Sun Wukong reached the cell's exit, many mysterious Sanskrit characters lit up, causing him to pause slightly.

Clearly, these characters hadn't changed when he entered, but now they activated, blocking his exit.

It was only a brief pause. Sun Wukong braced himself and made a struggling motion.

The Sanskrit characters on the cell shattered instantly.

Feeling lighter, Sun Wukong walked out effortlessly.

The underground palace had many cells, each holding numerous demons and ghosts.

Sun Wukong's presence naturally drew a lot of attention from them.

Seeing how easily Sun Wukong escaped and shattered the Sanskrit characters, many demons were secretly astonished.

In the dim dungeon, pairs of eyes once filled with killing intent, evil, and desire all stared at Sun Wukong.

But after witnessing this feat, those eyes slowly retreated into darkness, disappearing.

The Sanskrit characters could suppress any demon below the Heavenly Immortal Level. In other words, without a Taiyi Realm cultivation level, breaking free was impossible.

Seeing Sun Wukong break free so easily, the demons understood how powerful he was.

Though he appeared small, his strength was terrifying.

No demon dared to act arrogantly in front of him. Sun Wukong's expression remained unchanged as he continued walking downwards.

Being born a demon, Sun Wukong knew how to deal with demons: showing overwhelming strength.

This method proved more effective than any threat.

As he descended further, Sun Wukong noticed the dungeon was conical, narrowing downwards with fewer but stronger demons.

Some had been held so long they had turned into corpses or even skeletons.

Unlike the upper levels, the powerful demons below were quiet.

Most simply watched Sun Wukong coldly.

"Who would have thought so many powerful demons were imprisoned here!" As Sun Wukong walked deeper, he saw more Taiyi Realm demons, surprising him.

Some exotic beasts' auras were terrifying, like endless abysses.

Some demons lay quietly, eyes closed, resting peacefully.

There were even Taoists, sitting cross-legged in meditation, as if not imprisoned at all.

"Oh?"

As Sun Wukong wandered, occasionally inspecting the Treasure-Seeking Mirror to avoid losing his way, he suddenly noticed a meditating Taoist in a cell and paused.

Sun Wukong stared at him for a moment, then quickly approached, exclaiming, "Wumiao Senior Brother!?"

The Taoist in the cell was in his early thirties, with a short beard and a scholarly appearance, sitting cross-legged and calm.

Hearing Sun Wukong's voice, the Taoist slowly opened his eyes.

Seeing Sun Wukong, he frowned slightly, then stood up, "Wukong Junior Brother!? You were imprisoned too?"

"Senior Brother, when I left Square Inch Mountain, weren't you beside the Ancestor Bodhi? How did you end up here?" Sun Wukong asked incredulously, looking at his imprisoned senior brother.

Indeed, the Taoist in the cell was a familiar face to Sun Wukong.

They had once studied together under Ancestor Bodhi at Spirit Platform, Square Inch Mountain, Moon Three-Star Cave.

Sun Wukong was astonished. Since leaving Ancestor Bodhi, he hadn't seen any fellow disciples.

Who would have thought he'd meet a senior brother here!
