Journey To The Lands Beyond

"Now, let's not wait anymore time and go downstairs to the dining hall!"

Janika said with a serious expression and everyone followed after her.

They go downstairs to the dining hall. A man with dark brown hair and light stubble beard, broad shoulders with an athletic appearance can be seen sitting at the dinner table, wearing a charcoal gray blazer, enjoying his meal, with a few maids who were standing behind him.

"Father, I'm back! And I brought someone with me! Janika said to the man with a cheerful look.

"Janika, my daughter! I see you have returned! He responded back to her with a smile. "And, you said you brought someone with you?"

"Yes, This is Blaine!"

"Blaine, huh? Come, have a seat."

He looked at Blaine and said.

Blaine got startled. He didn't know about proper etiquette. He didn't know what he should do. On the other hand, he couldn't ignore it either. The maids then pulled the chairs back for them and both of them sat down.

Janika had no problem because this was her home, but this was all new for him. Back on Earth, he never went to such fancy places that would require him proper mannerisms. Unlike other teenage boys, he mostly stayed home and enjoyed playing video games, watching anime, and reading novels.

They had taken their seats and sat down.

"Okay, Father, listen!"

Janika explained the whole story to her father.

*Few minutes later*

After she told her father the whole story, he looked and said "Blaine, you have amnesia and you don't know where you're from. Is that correct?"

Blaine nods.

"But, you still remember your name?" He questioned.

"Oh, I gave him that name!" Janika softly laughed and responded. "So, since he have nowhere to go… He'll be living with us!"

Blaine was shocked at what he heard. He looked at Janika and then at her father. He scoffed internally and thought "no way, he's never gonna let a complete stranger into his house."

"Okay" He said to his daughter.

"?!"

Blaine got shocked again and thought "Hey, you agreed to it way too quickly! Though, I have no problem with it."

"Ahem! Since you'll be living be us, let me introduce myself. I am the head of the Circe Family, Albus Circe Steins. It is a pleasure to meet you." He stood up and said before leaving "Let's talk more later about what role you're going to have in this house. But for now, enjoy your food." And he left to go somewhere.

Before Albus left, the maids had already brought multiple dishes for Blaine and Janika.

Blaine looked at the serving of dishes and realized some of them were similar to the ones on Earth, but others were a new sight.

"Thank you for the meal!" Blaine said and saw how Janika was eating and tried to follow her example.

"Don't be so stiff, just relax and enjoy the food. Trust me, you're going to like it?" Janika smiled and said as they were about to eat.

After they were done eating Janika asked "did you like it?"

"Yes, it was great! Blaine ate the dishes he didn't know anything about. What ingredients it had, the process of how it was made, but to his surprise it was actually really delicious. The dishes themselves looked really good but he hesitated before eating. In the end, he ate it because he was hungry from all the previous events.

"Thank you, Master Blaine, we are happy you enjoyed it." The maids said happily and in sync.

"I don't even know what they put in these but wow, they were really good!" He thought to himself.

"Blaine, let's go to my father, he did say he wanted to speak with you again after you were done eating."

Janika stood up and said while some of the maids cleaned the table and took the rest of the dishes back.

"Ah, yes… after you!" Blaine stood up and responded.

The maids opened the backdoor of the house for them and they went outside. After exiting the door, Janika slowly walked straight as if taking a stroll and Blaine followed after her. He saw floral gardens as they were walking by. Janika noticed him looking and asked "Are you curious about the flowers?"

"Hmm? oh, I was just looking. But, yes, I'm curious." He responded.

"These flowers are called sun drop flowers. It's a gem with healing properties. Though it can't grow back lost limbs, it can heal severe injuries, treat illnesses, and detoxify poisons. It can even recover one's strength when they're exhausted."

She explained while walking towards an open tea house where her father, Albus, was sitting with another man.

They were both sipping tea and having a conversation. And sebas was standing beside them holding a teapot and putting more tea in their teacups.

"Janika, Blaine, you're both here!" Albus stood up and said "Good thing you're here now, he was about to leave in a little while. Blaine, I want you to meet someone."

The other man stood up and introduced himself.

"I am Cedric Circe Steins. Janika's oldest brother. And it is a pleasure to finally meet you."

"N-no! The pleasure is all mine!" Blaine softly chuckled and responded back.

"I heard about your situation… it can't have been easy… losing your memories, and coming here, to a place you don't recognize." Albus said with a worried look.

"You don't have to worry… and besides, I got to meet such amazing people, so I don't really mind that I lost my memories!" Blaine said with a soft chuckle.

"Oh, Blaine, you're gonna make me cry!" Cedric held Blaine's shoulders and said as he teared up.

"Shit… now I feel bad for lying to them."

*Sigh*

Blaine thought and sighed internally "I'll tell them the truth when the time is right!"

"Alright! Since Blaine will be staying here, let's discuss what job will suit him the most." Albus said with a serious expression. Sebas served tea to everyone again and they sat down at the table discussing Blaine's future without his consent.
