Journey To The Lands Beyond

Blaine closed his eyes and went back to feeling his mana to better his focus. To better his focus on controlling and circulating the mana inside him.

Albus was walking outside when he noticed a bright coming from a window. "What is that? I sense mana coming from there!" He went to check out what was causing the mana concentration in that room.

*Back in the library*

"I think I'm getting the gist of it!" Blaine thought as he continued circulating mana inside him.

*step* *step*

Footsteps could be heard approaching the library.

Albus then suddenly opened the door.

"Lord Albus… why are you here? I thought you were talking a walk outside." Sebas saw Albus and was surprised to suddenly see him.

"Yeah, Sebas… that bright light was hard to miss!"

"So, it was Blaine, huh?" Albus was relieved to see it was just Blaine.

"But, this is…" Albus was surprised.

"Yes, lord Albus! I could not believe it at first either!" Sebas smiled as he told Albus.

Blaine stopped his mana circulating and flew on the ground.

"Owww!"

He opened his eyes and saw Albus standing with Sebas.

"Mister Albus?" Blaine saw Albus and asked in confusion.

"Blaine… I see you have learned to control your mana." Albus said with a laugh.

"Yeah! But I'm still learning to better my control of my mana!" Blaine said with a smile.

"You will eventually get better at it." Albus replied back with a gentle look.

"Thank you, sir!" 

"Blaine, the type of magic that you possess is extremely rare, and only a few in this world have such magic." Albus said with a serious expression.

"I have a rare type of magic?" Blaine questioned.

"Yes, Blaine. You have light magic. Very rare and extremely difficult to control." Albus replied.

"So, what do I do now?" Blaine was worried.

"Don't worry, I'll think of something." Albus assured him.

"For now, continue circulating your mana. And better your control of the mana circulation." Albus said.

"Yes, sir!" Blaine continued to better his control over his mana.

"I'll try circulating my mana in my entire body. From head to toe and even to fingertips." Blaine thought to himself. And this time, he wasn't levitating.

As Blaine continued his mana circulation, Albus and Sebas were talking about something, and Blaine couldn't hear their words. He was too focused to pay any mind to them.

*some time later*

Blaine opened his eyes and saw only Sebas standing in front of him.

"Ah, Sebas, where's mister Albus?" Blaine asked Sebas.

"Lord Albus said he had an important matter to attend to. So, he left not too long ago." Sebas replied.

"Sebas, I think I finally figured the whole thing out!" Blaine looked at Sebas and said.

"Young Blaine, you mean…" Sebas stopped and didn't finish his sentence.

"Yes… look…" Blaine raised his right hand and the mana coated his hand in a bright light. He moved the bright light from his right hand to his left, circulating the mana inside him.

Blaine could now form the bright glow on his entire body or on just the tip of his finger.

Sebas was speechless at the sight of Blaine controlling his mana so precisely.

"It's not even been half a day, and he has already gotten such precise control over his mana." Sebas thought to himself.

*some time later*

Blaine and Sebas had left the library room and went to meet Albus.

Albus was in his office inside his house. Janika and Cedric were both with Albus, sitting in his office. They were discussing some things that could not be heard outside the office.

Blaine and Sebas approached Albus' office and knocked on the door.

"Come in." Albus said with a heavy voice.

Sebas opened the door. Blaine and Sebas went inside. Blaine saw Janika and Cedric were discussing something with Albus.

"Did we interrupt… Mister Albus?" Blaine asked. 

"No! Perfect! I was going to call you here myself!" Albus said as he pointed to a chair "come, have a seat." 

Blaine quietly sat down and didn't say a word.

"Blaine, I was talking to Janika and Cedric about an important matter that's been on my mind. You are still learning magic and it could be very beneficial to you. And I would very much like it if you could join it. Let me stop there and get straight to the point. How would to like to go to 'The Royal Academy of Magic'?" Albus said with a serious expression.

"Wh-what? Royal Academy of Magic?" The suddenness of such a notice had shocked Blaine.

"Right now, you are learning Basic Magic, but in The Royal Academy of Magic, you can learn much more. So, what do you say? Do you want to join The Royal Academy of Magic?" Albus said with hope in his eyes that Blaine would say 'yes'.

"Ah, yes, sir!" To no one's surprise Blaine said yes.

Everyone had a sigh of relief "I thought you were going to say no." Cedric said and was relieved to hear Blaine's answer.

"Blaine, The Royal Academy of Magic starts in two months. So, before that, Janika and Cedric will guide you through everything until then. With two months time, you will significantly improve at controlling your mana." Albus said with a smile.

"Yes sir, I will do my best!" Blaine said with a proud smile.

"Janika and Cedric, Blaine awakened his magic. And it's Light Magic!" Albus said with a grin.

"?!" Both of them were shocked to hear that.

"Light Magic?!" Janika and Cedric said in-sync.

"How… I mean, wow!" Cedric couldn't form his words properly.

"Isn't Light Magic the rarest and only a select few people possess it. Light Magic is said to be a gift from the Gods!" Janika said with a look of surprise.

"I knew it! The first time I saw you when you were fighting those bandits. For just a moment your hand had a bright golden glow. I wasn't sure at first, but I had my suspicions. And now, my suspicions are confirmed." Janika said with a straight face.

"Well, that time, I was being attacked and I didn't know how that happened." Blaine replied.

"And Blaine, there is one more important news. As of today, you are adopted by the Circe Family!" Albus gave Blaine another shocking news.

"Huh?" The sudden news of being adopted was too much to process. "Huhhhhh"

"Wh-what? But, aren't I a butler though?" Blaine asked. Still in complete shock.

"Yes, well, making you a Butler made things complicated. So, We discussed, and no one has any issues." Albus said with a smile.

"But, sir, this is too sudden! I don't know how I should feel about this! I mean, you're my father now!" Blaine responded back. He didn't know what he should do.

"Yes, Blaine. I mean, if you are not too uncomfortable with calling me father. Not that it would make me happy or anything!" Albus responded back.

*gasp* "This mean, Blaine is my brother now!" Cedric was happy.

"Well, you're not my butler anymore. But, I'm not opposed to this either." Janika said as she looked at Blaine and smiled.

"Aha… hahaha…." Blaine nervously laughed.

"All the documents are ready. You just have to sign them. If you are not opposed to being adopted." Albus said as he presented the documents to Blaine.

Blaine looked at the documents. The language was still a bit hard for him to understand. But he could make out a few words.

"Is this real? I'm not dreaming, am I?" Blaine asked Albus.

"No, blaine, this is no dream." Albus smiled and replied back.

Blaine picked up a feather quill pen, and wrote his name on the signature line.

"Yay!" Cedric was cheering.

"Welcome to the family, Blaine." Janika smiled.

Congratulations, Master Blaine." Sebas said with a smile and bowed.

"I hereby declare, Blaine Circe Steins, is now a member of the Circe Family, and my son!" Albus gave a brief speech, and gently smiled. "Welcome, Blaine!"
