Onoki returned back to the Tsuchikage office after he parted ways with Kojiro.

When Onoki entered the Tsuchikage office, he bowed his head to the first Tsuchikage and said, "Lord, first I am back."

The first Tsuchikage smiled upon seeing Onoki and said to him, "Good to see you, my boy. So how is your new apprentice?"

Onoki smiled when he heard the first Tsuchikage's question, and he started answering the first Tsuchikage with a prideful tone, "I like the kid lord; first, he had great potential."

The first Tsuchikage nodded his head in satisfaction. He then looked at Onoki and said seriously to him, "Listen, Onoki, Mu always wanted you to be the next Tsuchikage. I believe that the time has come for you to become our new Tsuchikage. You are now ready to take this responsibility and lead our village."

Onoki's eyes widened in shock when he heard this, and he quickly tried to refuse the kage position, "Hold on, old man, I don't want to be Tsuchikage. Why don't you give the position to Hareyama? He always wanted to be the next Tsuchikage."

The first Tsuchikage sighed tiredly when he heard this and answered Onoki, "There is no doubt that Hareyama is a good shinobi, Onoki, but he lacks the qualities that a kage needs to have, but you, on the other hand, not only have all those qualities; you also have something only a handful of people have: this thing that you have is the charisma of a true leader."

Onoki was stunned upon hearing this, and the first Tsuchikage smiled to Onoki. He then continued, "Listen, Onoki, I have taught you everything about village politics and how to properly run a village You are totally ready for this job."

Onoki sighed helplessly but nodded his head in acceptance When the first Tsuchikage saw Onoki nodding his head, he smiled and said to Onoki, "Your Tsuchikage coronation ceremony will be held tomorrow, my boy. You should go now and prepare yourself for the ceremony."

Onoki nodded his head in understanding; he then said to the first Tsuchikage, "I understand, old man; I will now go and prepare for the coronation ceremony. See you tomorrow."

The first Tsuchikage nodded his head to Onoki, then Onoki turned around and left the Tsuchikage office.

With Kojiro

Kojiro entered the shinobi library, and he saw a beautiful middle-aged woman sitting at the receptionist desk.

The woman had brown hair tied in a bun, big brown eyes, elegant eyebrows, cherry-like lips, a cute face, a curvy, feminine body, and fair skin.

The middle-aged woman was surprised upon seeing Kojiro entering the library; she smiled kindly at him, and then she said to Kojiro, "Hello little one, I am sorry you can't enter the library; only shinobi are allowed in this library. You will need to show me your shinobi registration card so I can allow you in."

Kojiro took out the card that Onoki gave him and handed the card to the middle-aged woman.

The middle-aged woman was shocked when she examined the card; she took a deep breath to calm herself down, then she smiled nervously at Kojiro and said to him, "Thank you for your cooperation, dear. Enjoy your time in the library. If you need help, come and see me."

Kojiro nodded his head to the middle-aged woman, then he started looking around the library.

Kojiro was amazed at how big this library was This library is much bigger than the other libraries he saw in his previous life.

Kojiro noticed that the shinobi library possessed countless books about ninja arts and ninja cultures.

Kojiro found many books about shinobi clans that exist in the elemental nation; he also found books about chakra theories, chakra nature theories, ninjutsu theories, genjutsu theories, sealing jutsu theories, renowned past shinobi, and current renowned shinobi.

Kojiro was contemplating deeply about what book he should read while browsing through the bookshelves. He then thought to himself, "Well, there is no book about Kenjutsu or swords here. I think I should read about chakra since chakra is the main source of power in this world."

After making up his mind, Kojiro grabbed the basic chakra theory book from one of the bookshelves, took a seat next to the window, and he started reading.

With Onoki

Onoki stood in front of a big, luxurious mansion.

This mansion belongs to one of the two noble clans that reside in Iwa, the Oden clan.

There were two guards guarding the Oden clan mansion gate.

The two guards were muscular; they had brown, short hair, sharp eyebrows, blue eyes, olive skin, and ordinary faces.

When they saw Onoki, they quickly bowed to him, "Onoki-sama."

Onoki nodded to the guards and said to them, "Go notify Hareyama that I have an important matter I want to discuss with him."

One of the guards nodded to Onoki and went inside the mansion to notify Hareyama, and the other guard looked at Onoki and said to him, "Onoki-sama, please follow me."

Onoki nodded to the guard. He followed the guard and entered the mansion.

_____

Oden mansion guest room

Onoki sat cross-legged in the guest room and was drinking the sake that was served to him by the Oden clan's maid.

All of a sudden, a bald man entered the guest room.

The man looked the same age as Onoki. He had brown eyes, an average face, a muscular physique, olive skin, and a deep scar across his face.

Onoki smiled when he saw the man and said to him, "Hareyama, it is good to see you, my friend."

Hareyama nodded to Onoki; he waved his hand dismissively to the maid, and he said to her, "Leave us."

The maid bowed to Hareyama; she then quickly and obediently exited the guest room.

After the maid exited the guest room, Hareyama took a seat across from Onoki.

Hareyama took out another bottle of sake and then asked Onoki, "So, Onoki, what brings you here? I heard that you took a new apprentice recently."

Onoki chuckled while he was drinking his sake and said, "Little Kojiro is a very interesting kid, Hareyama. You should go and meet him; he will impress you."

Hareyama was surprised when he heard this and said to Onoki, "That is a high evaluation from you, Onoki."

Onoki nodded his head; he then looked seriously at Hareyama and said to him, "listen Hareyama I will be honest with you, Lord; First asked me to be the next Tsuchikage."

When Hareyama heard this, he widened his eyes at first, then he clenched his fist in jealousy.

Onoki noticed Hareyama's reaction to the news; he sighed in his heart. He knew that Hareyama always wanted to be Tsuchikage; becoming Tsuchikage was Hareyama's goal ever since they were kids.

Onoki then said to Hareyama, "Hareyama, the reason I am telling you this is because I want you to be my shadow Tsuchikage, my right-hand man. and help me make this village prosperous."

Heryama was surprised when he heard this and asked Onoki with confusion, "What do you mean, Onoki?"

Onoki looked seriously at Hareyama and started explaining, "Do you remember the intel we received from our spies in Konoha after the ninja war? About that bastard Danzo and his private ANBU division."

Hareyama nodded his head seriously and said, "Yes, I remember this ANBU division is called Root."

Onoki nodded his head in confirmation and continued, "Yes, when I become Tsuchikage, I want you to create a special ANBU division; it will be called the Faceless ANBU division, but we will not follow that man's disgusting method of training and recruiting. This ANBU division will be under your command, but I will have the final say on this ANBU division."

"This ANBU division's purpose is to protect and support the village from the outside and also to counter Konoha's Root ANBU."

Hareyama was interested in Onoki's idea and said, "Interesting proposal, Onoki, so what will this ANBU division specialize in?"

Onoki took a sip of his sake and answered, "The main tasks of this ANBU division will be information gathering and assassination; however, their tasks may change in the future depending on the situations."

Hareyama nodded his head in understanding, then Onoki stood up and extended his hand and said, "So Hareyama, will you be the shadow Tsuchikage and my right-hand man to protect the village from the shadow?"

Hareyama smirked, stood up, shook Oniki's hand, and said to him, "I might never be able to be Tsuchikage in this life, Onoki, but being the shadow Tsuchikage and protecting the village from the shadow suits me. I think this is what I was meant to be my friend."

Onoki smirked when he heard his answer and said to Hareyama, "We will discuss more about the faceless ANBU division tomorrow. See you later, Hareyama."

Hareyama nodded to Onoki, then Onoki left the Oden clan mansion.
