Chapter 19: Chapter - 19
Jordan POV –
As I was riding my bike, I saw my map, and it would take at least a month to reach Snowpoint City, while also making sure that I train my Pokemon. Well, it looks like I will be on the road for a while. It is a good thing I made sure to call Mom and get everything in order with Jennifer about the map. I am also considering introducing my Dino capsules to the market after winning the Sinnoh League.
I am glad I could use this time to challenge Candice for my last main 8th gym battle. After beating her, I would have approximately 7 to 8 months before the Sinnoh league, as the dates have still not been announced. As I was thinking, I continued to ride my bike to Snow Point City.
Time skip –
Soon a month passed and our training had made good results now my Pokemon can train under 2.4 times gravity while I can in 2 times gravity.
My Aura powers have also strengthened and I can make solid things from my aura like Ropes, Shields, and other weapons as well my body stats have also risen by a considerable amount with me able to live around 200KGS without any aura enhancing me, but with my Aura, I can lift around 350KGS. And I can use Aura to enhance my and others' healing factor and heal others.
Similarly, with my Psychic, I can teleport approx. 1.5KMS, use Psychic to fly and lift approx. 390KGS using my Psychic powers.
And if I use aura to enhance my psychic powers I can lift to 430KGS maximum.
Oh yeah, for defeating Volkner I got the medical books from Tsunade and me and Blissey usually use them. Especially Blissey has gained a lot from it and now according to the manuals a solid Jonin based on healing alone.
Now some of my pokemon have also evolved –
Shelgon has now evolved into Salamence. Gabite has evolved into Garchomp. Electabuzz has evolved into Electivire. Magmar has evolved into Magmortar. Skorupi has evolved into Drapion. My Male Kirlia has evolved into Gallade. My Female Kirlia has evolved into Gardevoir. Metang has evolved into Metagross. Magneton has evolved into Magnezone. Duskull had the most progress as within almost 1 ½ months he had evolved into Dusknoir.
Now I of course did not cut corners and made sure to only evolve them after reaching their levels and their stats to SS+ and then evolve them. And a fun fact in this world to evolve a male Kirlia you need to use a Dawn stone only then does he evolve he doesn't evolve, similarly Gardevoir needs a Dawn stone to evolve.
Soon I was on a snowmobile riding the snow to get to Snowpoint City to challenge Candice. Within 30 minutes I was in Snowpoint city I first went to the Pokemon center gave nurse joy there my Pokemon and got myself some hot chocolate at a nearby café. And I went to the gym and made an appointment with Candice for my 8th advanced battle luckily Candice was free in the afternoon and I got the 4:00 PM slot. And I went and collected my Pokemons and I checked the time to see it was still early in the morning only 7:30 AM, so I decided to go to my {IW} to train my other Pokemons and also make sure my team for this match was ready to fight.
3rd person POV –
As the morning sun bathed Jubilife City in a warm glow, a crowd gathered in front of the massive TV screen on Jubilife Plaza, their eyes wide as they watched the news ticker scroll: "Breaking News: Trainer Jordan Smith to Challenge Snowpoint City Gym Leader Candice for his 8th Badge Today at 4:00 PM."
Murmurs spread through the gathering crowd, and people began to pull out their phones to share the news. The anticipation in the air was palpable; there hadn't been this much excitement since the announcement of the last Sinnoh League Championship match. The crowd buzzed with commentary:
"Only a few months, and he's already at his eighth badge? I think he's faster than anyone I've heard of!"
"Do you think he'll beat Red's record?"
"He'll have to. But even if he doesn't, he's put Sinnoh on the map!"
Among the spectators were trainers, casual fans, and even a few parents who didn't typically follow Gym challenges. For many, this was the first time they'd even heard of Jordan, but his swift rise had ignited curiosity. His progress had been nothing short of meteoric, stirring a sense of pride and wonder in the region.
Nearby, a group of students from the Jubilife Trainer's School gathered, their faces lighting up with awe as they shared stories of Jordan's prior battles. The young trainers looked up to Jordan as a symbol of what was possible. He was living proof that even trainers from small towns could rise to greatness, and for these students, he was a source of inspiration and hope.
In the grand halls of Sinnoh's Elite Four headquarters, Aaron, Bertha, Flint, and Lucian sat in a briefing room watching a replay of Jordan's previous battles on the large monitor. The footage displayed Jordan's Gabite executing a flawless Dragon Claw against Volkner's Electivire, securing him the match.
Flint leaned back, crossing his arms with an approving smile. "The kid's got serious guts. Not only did he outmaneuver Volkner, but he did it without losing a single Pokémon. That's something we don't see every day."
Bertha, Sinnoh's veteran Ground-type expert, observed thoughtfully, "Jordan is beyond talented, no question. But what impresses me most is his discipline. That young man has an instinct for the balance of power, strategy, and restraint."
Lucian adjusted his glasses, nodding. "If he continues at this pace, I wouldn't be surprised if he finds himself challenging us sooner rather than later."
In her private quarters, Champion Cynthia watched the match with particular interest. She was known for her calm and measured demeanor, but Jordan's battles had begun to intrigue her more and more. She admired his ability to push his Pokémon without overexerting them, a skill that few trainers mastered. Watching his Hippowdon effortlessly take down Byron's Steelix had shown her that Jordan wasn't just lucky; he was a strategist with a talent for reading his opponent's strengths and weaknesses.
"Sinnoh hasn't seen a trainer like this in years," she murmured, imagining a future showdown with him. "Perhaps we'll finally have a new contender for the Championship."
Professor Rowan paced his office in Sandgem Town, his mind consumed with thoughts of Jordan's progress. Since recommending him to Professor Oak, Rowan had been closely monitoring Jordan's journey. He had a great fondness for the young man, finding in him an eagerness and humility that were rare among talented trainers.
One of his assistants approached, her face alight with excitement. "Professor! News just confirmed that Jordan is challenging Candice today. People are already calling it a legendary achievement. They're even comparing him to Red Ketchum."
Professor Rowan smiled faintly. "Jordan has certainly earned such comparisons. His journey is marked by something special. It's more than skill—he has a rare dedication that drives him to push his limits without ever forgetting the well-being of his Pokémon."
The professor's mind wandered to memories of Jordan's visits to the lab, the quiet determination in his eyes as he learned about Pokémon care and research. He had always been attentive, listening to each lesson, and absorbing every piece of advice. And now, with a potential record-breaking eighth badge in sight, Rowan felt a surge of pride in his former student.
He thought of Red Ketchum, whose journey had captivated the world not so long ago, and wondered if the time had come for a new hero to emerge.
In Snowpoint City's gym, Candice adjusted her coat, gazing out at the frozen arena. She was known as a fierce Gym Leader, her Ice-types honed to withstand the toughest challengers. But she knew that today's match would be different. Jordan was no ordinary trainer. His record, his tactics, his sheer power—all of it demanded that she bring her very best.
She knelt beside her Abomasnow, placing a gentle hand on its massive arm. "Today, we're going up against someone special, Abomasnow. Jordan's no rookie; he's a real contender."
Abomasnow rumbled in agreement, its eyes reflecting Candice's steely resolve. She smiled, determination sparking in her gaze. "Let's show Sinnoh what we're made of."
Outside the gym, trainers and residents of Snowpoint City gathered, bundled up against the cold as they chattered eagerly about the upcoming match. "Did you hear? Jordan's challenging Candice this afternoon!"
"I've heard he's almost broken Champion Red's record!"
"I can't believe it—an eighth badge in just a few months?"
The excitement in the air was electric. The citizens of Snowpoint City felt a sense of pride that their gym would be the stage for such an iconic battle. The town's quiet, snowy streets were now filled with trainers who had traveled from far and wide, hoping to witness what many believed could be one of the greatest Gym battles of the year.
In a luxurious mansion back in Jordan's hometown, Brandon sat in his opulent living room, glaring at the screen in front of him. His parents were talking in the other room, discussing how proud they were of Jordan's progress. The news of Jordan challenging Candice had reached them as well, and they couldn't help but admire the young trainer's meteoric rise.
But Brandon felt nothing but bitterness. He'd gone to school with Jordan, seen him struggle to fit in, and dismissed him as just another unremarkable kid. Yet now, everywhere he looked, people couldn't stop talking about him.
"Jordan, Jordan, Jordan," he muttered, clenching his fists. "He's just some nobody who got lucky." He remembered how every teacher had adored Jordan, how even Professor Rowan had taken a special interest in him.
Brandon's dreams had been to stand out, to be recognized for his talents. But now, it seemed like Jordan was stealing the spotlight without even trying. His envy and resentment grew with every mention of Jordan's name, filling him with an insatiable drive to prove himself. He decided then and there that he would train harder, find stronger Pokémon, and show everyone that he was every bit as talented as Jordan.
Back in Canalave City, the Pokémon Academy was abuzz with excitement. The students crowded around TVs in the break room, sharing stories of Jordan's recent matches and marveling at his quick rise to the top.
"I heard his Gabite took down Volkner's Electivire in one hit!" said one student, his eyes wide with admiration.
"Did you know he used to go to a normal school like us? And now he's breaking records!" another added.
The younger students couldn't help but idolize Jordan. To them, he represented everything they aspired to be—a talented, dedicated trainer who had come from humble beginnings and risen to become a force to be reckoned with.
From Veilstone City to Hearthome, from Twinleaf to Oreburgh, people gathered around screens, phones, and computer monitors, following the news of Jordan's battle with Candice. They shared memories of watching his Gym battles and exchanged rumors about his strength, his strategy, and his mysterious new app—a piece of technology that was reportedly revolutionary in its potential to help trainers understand Pokémon better.
"I heard he was seen leaving a law firm that specializes in patents," someone said in a café in Hearthome City. "I wonder what he's planning next?"
"Whatever it is, it's going to be huge," another replied. "I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up as a Professor someday, like Rowan or Oak. He's already got everyone talking."
Sinnoh had embraced Jordan as their rising star. His journey was more than just a personal quest; it had become a source of pride for the entire region. And now, as he stood on the brink of earning his eighth badge, the whole world was watching, waiting to see if he could make history.
