Chapter 24: Cheering Her Up (3)
She was drowned in a sea of people.
Ji Qingying frowned and wanted to call Fu Yanzhi with her cell phone, but there were so many people around her that there was too much noise to call anyone.
She frowned, looked around, and saw a cheongsam shop.
Without giving it too much thought, Ji Qingying went in.
In comparison to the street and other stores, the cheongsam shops had fewer people.
She only called Fu Yanzhi after she entered the store.
As soon as she dialed his number, she heard a gentle female voice— The number she dialed was on a phone call.
Ji Qingying was in no hurry.
She hung up, turned the volume of her cell phone to the max so that she could immediately pick up any calls, and began to browse through the store.
The cheongsams had the typical national characteristics in their designs. Their colors were fancier and quite exaggerated.
If one was a layman, they may find it vulgar.
But when Ji Qingying looked at it, she could feel something different.
Both vulgarity and elegance were often fundamental in art.
She looked up and down while admiring and looked like she was quite fond of it.
But it was only after seeing an item put on display as a special product, did Ji Qingying's eyes lit up.
She reached out and touched the cloth, then turned to call someone, when suddenly a voice belonging to a woman, spoke up next to her, "Boss, has this cheongsam already been sold?"
Ji Qingying was taken aback, then turned to look over.
The woman was older than her.
She was wearing a light blue round neck shirt with a long skirt that wrapped around her hips, making her look very graceful and classy.
Perceiving Ji Qingying's gaze, the woman also looked back at her.
After seeing that Ji Qingying was also looking at the cheongsam, there was a flash of surprise in the woman's eyes, "Hello."
Ji Qingying nodded, "Hello."
The woman smiled gently, "Do you also like this cheongsam?"
"Mm-hmm."
Ji Qingying smiled faintly and said softly, "It's okay, you can go ahead first."
She pointed, "I will take a look at the others."
Ye Qing nodded, staring at her face for a moment, then looked down, "This cheongsam that you’re wearing looks very beautiful on you."
Ji Qingying was a bit surprised but still replied with a smile, "Thank you."
Ye Qing was about to say something when Ji Qingying's cell phone rang.
She looked at it inadvertently and saw a familiar name and her eyes had that dazzle in it again.
She wanted to pick up the call, but there were too many people outside, so Ji Qingying didn't answer in a hurry either.
She turned sideways, accepted the call, and softly said hello.
Fu Yanzhi's voice could be heard from the other end of the call.
"Where are you now?"
Ji Qingying glanced around, "Just around where we were walking earlier, I bought a bottle of water and walked a little bit more and found a cheongsam shop. I'm in that shop."
Fu Yanzhi understood and said quickly, "Don't walk around, I'll come over."
"Okay, then I'll wait for you in the store."
Fearing that she was in a hurry, Fu Yanzhi added, "Three minutes, will be there."
After hanging up the phone, Ji Qingying was no longer interested in browsing cheongsams.
She smiled at the person next to her and went near to the door.
There were a lot of people at the entrance, and the lights of the shop were shining bright, adding light to the dark night.
Ji Qingying leaned to the side, taking a look outside from time to time.
Then glanced at the time of her cell phone.
It was only three minutes, but it seemed like three years had passed.
Very long, very long.
After two minutes, Ji Qingying raised her head.
As soon as she did, she saw a person walking in her direction among the flow of people.
It was Fu Yanzhi who looked as outstanding as always.
Even if there are many people, she could always find him with just a glance.
To prevent him from losing sight of herself, Ji Qingying waved her hand and shouted, "Fu Yanzhi, I am here."
In the store.
The woman who was asking the boss about the cheongsam put her hand on the tabletop suddenly and turned back.
The boss was surprised, "What's the matter?"
The woman shook her head, stared back at the door of the store, and a familiar figure appeared in her sight.
She raised her eyebrows and kept observing from the corner of her eye.

Fu Yanzhi quickened his pace and walked over.
Standing in front of Ji Qingying, he saw that she was safe and sound and breathed a sigh of relief.
"Sorry."
Ji Qingying smiled, "For what?"
She continued, "Were you talking to someone on the phone?"
Fu Yanzhi nodded.
Xu Chengli had went to participate in an academic exchange recently and just called back to ask him about a medical case.
Fu Yanzhi saw who was calling and was going to inform Ji Qingying, telling her to rest for a bit and not to walk around while he goes to answer the phone.
But by the time he picked it up, she was gone.
Ji Qingying sheepishly pursed her lower lip, "It was my fault. I was distracted and didn't hear what you said."
It was true because, by the time she came to her senses and looked up, she could no longer see anyone.
Fu Yanzhi didn't care that much.
He glanced at the store and asked in a low voice, "Do you want to take a look around once more?"
"No."
Ji Qingying said, "Let's go back."
Fu Yanzhi nodded.
The two went out, but there were still a lot of people.
Ji Qingying looked at the dense crowd and turned to look at the person next to her and said, "Fu Yanzhi."
"What?"
She pointed, "Will we get lost again?"
Fu Yanzhi was silent.
