Chapter 56: The first play through 5
As I cut down the last crow, ripping its wings off with my new twin swords, I could only sigh. This was a new Mission give it to him by a commission by an anonymous request. They had offered cash upfront, so I didn't think much of it.
At this point, with the amount of cash I had managed to gain throughout my mercenary work. I could probably retire and live out the rest of my days, but fuck that.
At this point, this is more fun than my previous life, and besides, I don't think whoever gave me this system would enjoy that idea anyways.
As I looked around the large room being covered completely with dead fallen angels on the floor, I used my skill, Devour, immediately, turning all their corpses into dust.
As I gained a slight boost to my strength, I could only grin.
"Interesting ability, young man," I heard a voice, and immediately I turned around, preparing to activate all my skills to boost myself if necessary, only to see a red-haired man who looked familiar to another redhead I had seen and a voluptuous woman who had silver hair and was wearing a maid outfit?
Sirzechs Lucifer, the Crimson Satan
Race: Pure Blood Devil
Grayfia Lucifuge, the strongest queen
Race: Pure Blood Devil
"Is there something I can help you with, Lucifer?" I said, preparing myself to pull out any of my weapons if I had to out of my inventory.
"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Sirzechs Lucifer, one of the Four Great Satans that rules the Underworld. I believe you used to be enrolled in Kuoh."
"Are you the one that employed me to do this?" I asked, a little curious now. He only smirks, noticing that I dashed the question.
"Yes, I help the devil manage this territory, and I managed to get in contact with you in person, so it is a plus," said the redheaded demon lord of this world.
"I'm assuming you want me to do another task for you," I ask, not beating around the bush as smiles widen.
"Yes, I want to hire you for a new job, but you would have to get involved with devil politics, at least for the job's length."
"What type of job?" I asked, guessing from my knowledge of the series.
"The job will require you to fight Riser Phenex to be the champion of my sister during her wedding," said Sirzechs, making me think if I want to get involved before I simply nod.
"Depending on the pay, what do you have to offer me?" I asked simply to have a number to bargain with since for this simple job, he got paid over 5 million euros.
"1 billion euros, and if you want, you can have citizenship in the underworld if you wish," said Sirzechs, making me think 1 billion is a lot of money and the citizenship to the underworld would be interesting since he could get more business there.
He wanted to bargain for more, and he probably could, but he did not want to get in the bad graces of a man that could erase him right now.
"Sure, I'll accept the job," I said immediately as I gained a notification.

Both of them are covered by a red glow before disappearing.
-later-
It had been three hours since I finished that job, and now I was currently in my pocket dimension as I was preparing something, preparing to use two items I had gotten inside to use.
[Mystery Companion Token] – ???
[Summon Token: ??? Companion] – ???
I stood at the center of a circular clearing I had carved out near a small lake, the grass cut low, surrounded by obsidian stones I had personally marked with [runes]. Skill I gain by playing around carving symbols in different objects and infusing magic with them. Around me, I had drawn two overlapping summoning circles, one in glowing gold, the other in deep amethyst, pulsing with a rhythm like a heartbeat.
Between the circles sat a hastily constructed Soul Altar made from black steel, obsidian, and a few drops of my own blood mixed with [Heart of the Forsaken]. Gray was nearby, lounging lazily but watching.
As I activated one of my tokens, a bright light covered the area.
The light exploded outward, and a silhouette formed within.
I shielded my eyes just before the figure stepped forward, barefoot, landing with a soft tap on the stone.

She looked around, her eyes quickly scanning the surroundings before they settled on me.
"…Interesting," she said in that cold, sensual tone of hers. "You brought me here," she said, as I nodded. "You don't have a problem with that?" I asked, genuinely curious.
"No, before you brought me here, I saw my own death. I was given the option to accept the request or not, and I accepted," she said, and that got my interest.
Before I could respond, Gray barked softly, reminding me that I wasn't done yet.
Pulling my last token I pressed the token to the Soul Altar, and the amethyst circle flared with violent energy. From it a woman came out; her fiery red hair framed her face. She was wearing a red pilot uniform, which flattered her already impressive figure.
[Kallen Stadtfeld]
Bond Level: 1
Mood: Wary but curious
She scanned the surroundings quickly before settling on me. "So, you're the one who summoned me?" She said, a little wary.
"Yes," I said a little arrogantly, since despite her being attractive, she wasn't really useful other than her body.
"I'm assuming you also got a vision before you accepted the request." She nodded her head.
"I heard a voice that told me that there was a world out there where Britannia did not exist and Japan was completely liberated, and I saw a vision of a demon wearing white being declared the 99th emperor of Britannia. The voice told me you could help me save my world," she said as I immediately put my attention on her when she said that.
"Well, I can only go to a different world once I finish this one," I said to her, making her slightly frown.
"But I'll help you're world once I'm able to leave this world," I said to Kallen. Her expression only changed slightly, giving me a small smile of gratitude.
-Kallen Stadtfeld-
As she lay down on the new bed prepared for her, she could only think back on what she saw before accepting the request to come to this world.
When she told Christopher about her vision, she did not share the detail that the "demon" was someone she knew.
Zero, the man who had brought them home and created the Black Knights, turned out to be Lelouch, her classmate, but that wasn't even the worst part. The worst part was that he was an imperial prince, one of the sons of the emperor.
She saw when he claimed the wrong he committed was so atrophic, he destroyed them and also crippled the Chinese Federation, including the Europia United. She was also shown that he also blew up his own capital, destroying Pendragon, so many deaths.
She only saw small moments with these, and a lot of them could've been put out of context, but she figured whatever entity brought her here and gave her this opportunity wouldn't show her visions to mislead her if there weren't a level of truth to them.
Her mind was at ease, knowing that the whole world's time was stopped the moment she left. This entire day was just stressful.
