Chapter 33: The king of the rock 4 parts 1

As we approached Casterly Rock, I opened my eyes slowly, greeted by a glowing screen that appeared before me, demanding my attention.

(System Updates)

[Several dungeons have been placed throughout the world and are ready for clearing.

Class expansion: New classes available; to unlock more classes requirements must be met to access them.

Bloodline feature added.

Professions feature added.

Party system feature added.

Upgrade quest limits removed.]

I blinked, absorbing the new features. The mention of "dungeons" immediately intrigued me, and with it came an influx of knowledge about their purpose.

Curious, I decided to check the new options. Opening the Classes tab, I saw that, for now, only a few classes were available to me.

Fisherman

Student

Teacher

Basic choices, but I'd work with what I had for now. Moving on, I tapped the Bloodline icon, represented by a glowing drop of blood.

[Bloodline Feature

Blood of Lann the Clever

Blood of Gerold the Great

Blood of Lord Tywin Lannister

Blood of the Halfman (Transmigrated)

Lannister Bloodline]

I read through each entry, analyzing their descriptions and effects.

A thought struck me. If my actions in my past life, like becoming the first King of the Rock in over 300 years, could give me so much renown throughout the continent, then could I forge a new bloodline in this life? My half man bloodline came from the me of the past when I was still a dwarf so why couldn't I create a better bloodline, in this time around.

Quest Added

[Return to Origin]

Objective: Become a figure of great renown.

Optional Objective: ???

Reward: Creation of a new bloodline, 1,000,000 credits.

Optional Reward: ???

A smirk formed as I closed the screen. The challenge was daunting, but it was a goal worth striving for.

Next, I explored the Professions tab. Unlike classes, professions focused on specialized skills like gardening, alchemy, and blacksmithing. Unfortunately, most were locked due to my "low magic stats,". Unlocking them would take time and effort.

The Party System feature intrigued me as well. It allowed me to share system-related benefits with others during dungeon runs.

And the removal of upgrade quest limits? That was self-explanatory and a much-needed relief.

Satisfied with the new updates, I turned my attention back to the Classes tab. With a deep breath, I made my selection.

I picked this class for one simple reason. It was the easiest one to complete. Currently I had three classes available. This one and the two other ones that weren't exactly great. And this one was the easiest one to complete.

As we docked at Lannisport, the familiar sights of the bustling harbor and the smell of saltwater filled the air. Without wasting time, I disembarked the ship with my men.

Before stepping further into the city, I ducked into a shadowed corner and quickly changed out of my armor. The golden lion emblazoned on my chest would attract too much attention. I carefully packed it away into my inventory and pulled on a simple hooded cloak.

I adjusted the hood to conceal my features. My family's seed had left its mark across these lands. Thanks to my ancestors lust, blonde hair and green eyes were as common as the grass in Lannisport and Casterly Rock. However, my striking purple eye a deformity I still kept with me despite my second life set me apart. To avoid drawing suspicion, I kept it hidden under a bandage.

Moving away from my crew, I walked slowly through the streets, blending into the crowd. Most of the smallfolk had never laid eyes on their lord, let alone his heir, but I wasn't foolish enough to rely on that anonymity. Better to be cautious than careless.

I turned into a quiet alleyway, scanning my surroundings to make sure no one was watching. Once I was certain I was alone, I activated my Doppelgänger skill. My current body began to dissolve, a strange, almost ethereal sensation overtaking me. In seconds, the clone I had created earlier became my new main body.

-later-

As I felt both of my consciousness becoming one I look around seeing myself in my room.

i'm back home…as I look
