It's Troublesome That My Doting Dad Became A Villain

chapter 133

I didn’t stay in front of the people for long as a saint.
I returned to my room shortly after.
If it weren’t for my duties as a saint, there’s no way I would have gone out there, receiving the attention of so many people.

Sigh. Finally, some time alone.
I threw off the ceremonial dress that looked like something out of a fairytale, feeling an unexpected sense of freedom.
Then, I put on my newly acquired battle attire and was immediately stunned.

Wow…
This was the upgraded version of the battle gear.
The basic white and blue design of the original battle gear was still there, but the refinement was incomparable.

It was flashy, the fabric glittering in a way that would catch anyone’s eye.
A sudden sense of discomfort washed over me.
But if I wore the old battle gear again, it would probably feel just as odd.

“Hmph.”
I quickly grabbed a black cloak and draped it over my shoulders.
This wasn’t the time to be admiring clothes. Prima’s words from yesterday lingered in my mind again.

"Well, Crescent, looks like I’m quite popular with you."
What exactly did Prima mean by that?
Ever since I heard those words, I couldn’t shake them off.

Could it be that Meteor and Prima were the same person? Was that even possible?
If they were the same, it would mean that Meteor would choose to become a demon in the future.
That made no sense at all.
Meteor would never, under any circumstance, become a demon.

Was I just overthinking it?
Did it mean nothing at all?
But honestly, it seemed more likely that Prima wasn’t actually Meteor.

It made more sense to think that Rearwin might have a brother who looked exactly like Meteor.
Anyway, I needed to investigate Prima’s true identity. From the moment I first met him, I’d felt something was off about him.
Now, I had the ability to dig into his background. It was the perfect opportunity.

‘I have to visit the Demon Realm.’
I spoke to the saints, and the system window immediately popped up.
<“Dragon Slayer Sylvester” is horrified by the fact that you’ve become a demon!>

<“Yuri-loving Druid Gabriella” is now deeply conflicted over whether she should continue supporting and assisting you! They’re in agony after discussing it amongst themselves!>
<“From Maid to Saint—Astina” is so dizzy from your actions that she’s collapsed after learning you’re now both a saint and a demon!>
Thud!

Someone please help Astina...
The truth was, I had no choice but to accept the power of Time. It was better to hold onto it than to return it to the Demon King, who would only become more dangerous.
I wasn’t happy about it, though.

Becoming a saint and a demon at the same time was certainly an unusual combination.
But now, being both a ➤ NоvеⅠight ➤ (Read more on our source) saint and a top-tier demon, I was undoubtedly incredibly powerful.
Considering the situation, I might as well be content with the fact that I had become one of the most formidable beings in both the human world and the Demon Realm.

“At this point, I’ve already made my choice. Please just be proud of me, saints.”
Various pieces of advice and concerns filled my system window.
I didn’t pay much attention to them.

Instead, I focused on the demon power I now possessed.
It was the same Magi energy that Cyrillote had once wielded.

Strangely, it felt like Cyrillote’s presence was still lingering with me.
It was almost like he was trying to stay close, even now.
Shaking my head, I summoned the Magi and headed toward the Demon Realm.

Soon, I arrived at a blackened land filled with countless craters. The sky, as expected, was dominated by a crimson crescent moon.
This was the Demon Realm.
What was strange, however, was that the lava wasn’t flowing from the ground but from the craters themselves, bubbling toward the earth.

Did I come to the right place?
It had to be the Duke of Dimensions’ castle.
Just looking at the upside-down lava gave the impression of something totally otherworldly.

Somewhere in this realm, there should be a path leading to a castle.
But I had a feeling that if I followed it, I’d run into Prima.
I immediately used my teleportation ticket. My destination: Prima’s castle. I had been there before.

The space I arrived in was thankfully the same as I remembered.
I cautiously began walking down the corridor.
The Demon Realm castle was unrealistically beautiful. The smooth marble floors were seamless, flawless, and perfectly smooth.

It was a palace that even the imperial palace couldn’t compare to.
A fragrant smell of fresh flowers drifted in the air, but since I knew they were from the Demon Realm, I couldn’t bring myself to appreciate them.
Where’s Prima’s room?

As I thought that, I turned a corner and found a white door ahead of me.
From behind it, I could feel a heavy presence of Magi. It was a unique aura that didn’t seem to emanate from any other room.
I knew right away that something was off.

Approaching cautiously, I grabbed the door handle and heard a soft click as the door opened.
It’s not locked?
Given how important this place looked, why would they leave it open?

Then again, it was Prima’s personal castle, so maybe there was no reason for any security.
Shrugging it off, I stepped inside.
Inside, it was pitch dark. The scale and depth of the darkness felt heavier than usual. The room seemed vast.

With each step I took, the Magi followed, rising from the floor as if it was responding to my presence.
I walked for what felt like an eternity until I suddenly stopped in my tracks.
I looked up with wide eyes.

A large, thin screen stretched across the room, as tall as a giant, like a curtain of darkness.
The top was so high, I couldn’t even see it, and it was buried in the shadows.
What is this?

A dimensional portal?
Beyond the screen, I could see the red crescent moon hanging in the sky.
What was strange was that the moon seemed to be tilted, bleeding as though it was wounded.

Such a moon symbolized the Demon King’s absence, his death.
So why was it here, illuminating this dark night?
Does Prima want to kill the Demon King?

Is this some kind of art piece moving to show it?
I stared more intently at the screen.
“!”

At that moment, something struck my heart. I froze, shocked.
There, within the screen, were two figures.
They looked as real as if they were standing right in front of me.

In the screen, Prima was holding a massive sword, and beside him lay the fallen form of the Demon King… my father.
I took a step forward without thinking.
It felt as though I was about to walk right into the screen.

But just as I moved, I heard a sound that made me freeze.
“My daughter…”
“!”

“My daughter Crescent, I couldn’t protect you. I’m sorry, my angel…”
“?”
What?

What did he just say?
I couldn’t believe my ears.
Those were the exact words my father had spoken just before his death in the original game.

But why was that phrase here, in this moment? It hadn’t even happened yet.
Could it be that Prima knew about the original game?
I glanced at Prima, who looked equally surprised. He must have been shocked by the unexpected words from the Demon King.

Then, Prima knelt down, gazing at my father. His eyes softened with a hint of pity.
Prima gently closed my father’s eyes with his hands and whispered,
“I will protect Crescent. Please rest in peace.”

“…?”
What is he saying?
This wasn’t even in the original game.

In the original game, Meteor was the one who killed the Demon King.
But here, the scene felt like it was rewritten.
Why was Prima, of all people, making a promise to protect me, while also closing my father’s eyes?

“Crescent.”
The voice came from behind me, making me jump.
It wasn’t from the screen, but from directly behind me.

It was like a whisper from a dream.
“You came to find my home… How honored I am.”
