Chapter 25
“I offended you, Your Majesty, please forgive me!”
Zhang Wufeng realized that he had acted too rashly and quickly stepped aside, bowing his head and apologizing humbly.
Zhang Yi paid him no attention and walked straight ahead. He only wanted to hurry back to the Dao Sect to open the Heavenly Fate Boxes and study the Heavenly River Sword Technique.
Shen Changqing and Shen Chenyu followed closely behind them.
“Brother Zhang Yi, I want to join the Dao Sect. Can you take me there?” Shen Chenyu said, throwing caution to the wind in order to stay by Zhang Yi’s side. She didn’t care about her status as the royal princess.
“No way! Shen Changqing, can’t you take your sister back?” Zhang Yi was getting a headache from Shen Chenyu’s nagging.
“Brother Zhang, that’s not very gracious of you. I helped you so much, and you won’t even take my sister to the Dao Sect?” Shen Changqing said, feeling satisfied that he could finally get back at Zhang Yi by having Shen Chenyu tag along with him.
“Whatever, if she wants to go, let her go. It’s none of my business,” Zhang Yi said coldly.
Little did he expect that Shen Chenyu would be thrilled by this response. “Yay! Brother Zhang Yi agreed to take me to the Dao Sect!” she exclaimed.
Zhang Yi rolled his eyes at Shen Chenyu and worried about her intelligence, but he couldn’t help but feel that she and Zhang Luoyan were like two sisters.
What a pair of beauties!
As several people arrived at the border of Great Zhou, Shen Changqing looked at Zhang Luoyan with reluctance and said, “Luoyan, as the prince of Great Zhou, I cannot easily leave. This is where we part ways…”
“Your Highness, thank you very much!”
After this incident, Zhang Luoyan had a slightly different view of Shen Changqing, feeling that he was not as annoying as before.
Shen Changqing scratched his head awkwardly, blushing like a boy next door. “Luoyan, even though our engagement is broken, I, Shen Changqing, will not marry anyone else in this life except you!”
“Your Highness, don’t joke around. As the prince of Great Zhou, how can you act on a whim?”
Zhang Luoyan smiled and didn’t take Shen Changqing’s words to heart.
Shen Changqing smiled and said nothing. Some things were useless to say, and only the future would tell.
Then, Shen Changqing solemnly urged Zhang Yi, “Brother Zhang, my sister can be stubborn at times. When she goes to the Dao Sect, I’ll trouble you to take care of her and make sure she doesn’t suffer.”
“What does her business have to do with me?”
Zhang Yi replied in a cold voice.
Shen Changqing smiled helplessly. He realized that Zhang Yi was different from before and didn’t pay any attention to him now. He just affectionately patted Shen Chenyu’s little head and said, “Chenyu, listen to Brother Zhang when you go to the Dao Sect. Don’t cause trouble. Your big brother will come to see you when he has time.”
“I know, hurry up and leave!”
Shen Chenyu slapped away Shen Changqing’s hand in annoyance and said with impatience.
Shen Changqing chuckled helplessly, feeling a bit embarrassed. “This girl…”
“You guys go ahead, I’ll watch you leave.”
Shen Changqing waved his hand and watched the three figures gradually disappear.
Along the way, Shen Chenyu tried to strike up a conversation with Zhang Yi, but he completely ignored her, so she had to chat with Zhang Luoyan instead.
The two women chattered on the road and quickly became friends, and the atmosphere was peaceful.
Several hours later, Zhang Yi brought the two women back to the Dao Sect and instructed Zhang Luoyan to arrange for Shen Chenyu.
“Zhang Yi, how can I join the Moon Shadow Peak under the leadership of the Sect Master?”
Although Zhang Yi had always been indifferent to her, Shen Chenyu was still enthusiastic and eagerly looked at Zhang Yi as she asked.
“Sister Chenyu, the Sect Master only accepts disciples on her own initiative. For many years, there has only been one senior brother under her, and it’s difficult for ordinary people to catch her attention.”
Zhang Luoyan knew what Shen Chenyu was thinking, and implied that she should give up on this idea early.
“I worked so hard to come to the Dao Sect, I won’t give up easily!”
Shen Chenyu stubbornly pouted.
Zhang Yi ignored her and headed straight for the Forgotten River Cliff.
Sitting cross-legged on the edge of the cliff, Zhang Yi began to study the Heavenly River Sword Art.
As he examined the Heavenly River Sword Art with his mind, a peerless figure appeared in his mind, wielding a sword that seemed like the Milky Way descending, cutting through everything with just one stroke.
Just one sword was enough to amaze the ages!
In the blink of an eye, the figure had swung over ten thousand swords in Zhang Yi’s mind, allowing him to master the Heavenly River Sword Art directly.
“So the techniques rewarded by the Heavenly Fate Map can be practiced directly.”
Zhang Yi was satisfied. The Heavenly River Sword Art was definitely the most powerful attack technique he currently possessed.
“Now it’s time to experience the feeling of opening a blind box.”
Looking at the five heavenly fate boxes of various colors in his mind, Zhang Yi felt a sense of anticipation rise within him.
With a thought, he opened a red fate box, and a burst of information quickly flooded his mind, making his expression particularly excited.
“What the hell? Even an instruction manual can be obtained?”
Zhang Yi was surprised. The information that had just come to his mind was about an instruction manual.
Now at least now he knew that the heavenly fate box had different levels of quality, ranging from red, orange, yellow, green, and blue, to purple.
And his remaining four blind boxes were orange, yellow, green, and blue.
“This is interesting. They even have different levels. I should save the good ones for last.”
Zhang Yi rubbed his hands together and prayed for good luck before opening the orange box.
“Ten Gathering Spirit Pills!”
Gathering Spirit Pills could only quickly restore spiritual power and were not very useful to Zhang Yi.
Without hesitation, Zhang Yi opened the yellow box, which contained ten Symbols of Misfortune.
Symbols of Misfortune could only affect other people’s luck for a short period of time and were not that useful to Zhang Yi. This made him feel a little disappointed.
“It’s okay. I still have the last two boxes. Hopefully, I can find something useful.”
Zhang Yi used his mind to open the green box, and ten Spirit Transformation Pills appeared in front of him amid a burst of green light.
Spirit Transformation Pills were condensed from the blood of powerful Spirit Transformation Realm experts and were highly effective for those at the Spirit Transformation Realm. Those with good aptitude could even use them to break through.
“Ten Spirit Transformation Pills should be enough for me to break through!”
A smile appeared on Zhang Yi’s face. He had finally opened something useful.
“The green box can open something useful for me. And every ten boxes can be fused and upgraded. I can save other colored boxes for later fusion.”
Zhang Yi quickly mastered the use of the heavenly destiny box.
Then he came to the highlight. Zhang Yi took a deep breath, and nervously opened the blue fate box.
Amid a burst of blue light, a pair of golden boots engraved with wind and cloud patterns appeared in front of him, and information about the boots instantly appeared in his mind.
[ Wind and Cloud Boots: Imperial-class Artifact (Ranks: Spirit, Dao, Sovereign, Imperial, Emperor, Supreme), able to walk on clouds and shrink distance. ]
This made Zhang Yi very happy. “The Heavenly Fate Map always tricks me, but with these Wind and Cloud Boots, I can run faster. What a rare and thoughtful gift!”
Even the Dao Sect, as one of the four major forces on the Wuling Continent, only had one Imperial-class artifact and didn’t have more than two Sovereign-class artifacts.
