Her confrontation!
People say those men who cry are weak-willed but in my perception, those men who cry are the most genuine people.
It wasn't like I haven't seen men cry before me for various reasons, but when the person I care for, wept his grief wordlessly while being dependent upon me, I felt very delighted for being needed by the person.
Not to boast, but many people would love to be with me, but I never found anyone worthy enough of my attention because of the greed they carry for me.
Lust and Power was the most common sin I was targeted with by the populace which made my heart solid rock and my resolve clear that whatever happens, I would never fall for anyone.
Yet when I saw a certain man who was hurting himself time after time, getting targeted by most of the people around him and loathed by these many people, just because of the fake act of a haughty noble he shows in front of everyone, but in reality, he was just a pure innocent boy. I felt my heart warming up a little.
It wasn't because of the weird thing I got to know about him, but the reason he was doing such. Well, spying on someone wasn't something I prefer but when it's about the person I was interested in for the first time, I just couldn't help it.
My heart was moved beyond belief. I was so much swept by the actions that being used by him as he desired didn't feel much of a deal, but only to the point where he wasn't hurting himself.
But when his plans brought him into such a pitiful state I decided to finally come out of the shadows and cooperate with him without holding anything.
It might be the first time I was getting involved in something so wholeheartedly yet I was loving the way I was thinking and behaving these days.
I felt alive for him and wanted to live for his sake...
I just only need him now...
"So what are you going to do from now?"
Gliding my hand across his fluffy hair, I asked Austin who was currently laying on my lap like a cute baby.
At the start he was reluctant but as soon I persuaded him with the teary eye technique I have practiced during these four days, he accepted everything I asked him to.
Well, asking him everything at this point would be a rushing thing so I only restricted myself from being intimate with him like this.
Who knows about the future...
"I will go through this baptize or whatever they want me to, and continue my daily life as a pretend villain."
Saying so he closed his eyes when I suddenly asked the thing which was hurting my stomach for a very long.
"But why do you have to behave like that Austin? Is there any personal goal of yours behind it?"
He clearly heard me as his eyes went wide open before he looked at me in shock. He abruptly got up from my lap making me all lonely, before he rejected my question.
"N-no such thing could be possible. Don't spout nonsense all of a sudden ".
His stutter was everything to tell me that he was presenting me with a white lie. I held his arm tightly in my embrace before I looked at him with a pained expression.
"Won't you tell me, Austin-sama? Ain't I a person trustable enough?
I purposely blinked repeatedly to show my pitiful expression which my past self probably would have died seeing such, from embarrassment.
Austin turned a deep red before he snatched his eyes away shyly. I doubted such a runaway strategy, yet again I also wouldn't have let him tell such an important thing without giving him some kind of assurance.
I closed my eyes and using the Holy Magic, created a contract that was regarded as the [Promisery Vow]. While I was at it, I also engraved the content required to be followed and the name of the parties.
Opening my eyes there was a faded brownish paper levitating in mid-air which was giving a faint purple glow ensuring that the content was written and the final acceptance was only required.
Looking back at my partner, I saw his eyes a little wide but from his not-so-amused expression, it seemed he knew what it was.
"I think you have an idea what it is, so I will go into the contract detail only ."
I handed him the paper as I started to dictate the clauses I have included in the contract.
"This contract prohibits the remarked party, from spouting anything which would be discussed in this room. The one who would be breaking the promise would have to compensate with their life. Now, is it okay to let you know my trustability, Sir Austin?"
I asked him while tilting my head and a natural smile across my face. Despite hearing me the caution prince still went through the whole contract before he asked me something.
"Hey, Luna....it only says the one who made the contract can't talk things outside. It doesn't include me...did you make a mistake ."
Shaking my head left to right I made his doubt clear.
"Of course not. I mean, how can I let my precious Austin get in danger with this contract? This contact is something you need to trust me so don't think about the useless stuff and fill out the form."
He pondered for quite a while before he finally seemed to let go of his reluctance as a defeated sigh left his lips before he pinched his lower lip and kissed the contract as in to fulfill the acceptance.
'Oof...how lucky...'
"I don't why I am telling you all this or what would happen if someone was to know what I am going to tell you, but somehow I feel I can't escape from you, can I?"
I shook my head without hesitation with my eyes crescent in elation.
I was glad that he knew I was a heavy woman whome he couldn't get rid of.
"Okay then... let's start from the start. I know my story would sound pure bullshit but please don't try to laugh in between okay?"
I nodded and immediately faced him properly with my legs going crisscrossed on his warm bed.
His eyes wandered at my exposed legs for a bit but soon he snatched them away. Well, it would have been better if he had stared at them all he wanted but of course, I could not say it, just like that.
His heavy breath seemed to calm down a little as he took a little time to collect his thoughts before he faced me and drew his eyes directly on top of me. I felt a little tremble running down my spine but looking at his serious expression I knew it wasn't time to flirt, so I kept my mouth shut.
"The fact is ...I-I actually am a reincarnated..."
And his story started from the time he died and was born in this world. He told how things were different from his previous world, and how he lived before he found this thing called the 'Villain System'.
I reminded myself to keep on giving him a shocked expression from time to time but in reality, I wasn't surprised at all.
How can I be when I actually knew all these things since four days ago when I sneakily read his mind when he was asleep?
Well, the night I saw his memory for the first time in my life I felt my Spell broken. It was too much for me to digest. For a second I thought all these memories of Austin were just made up and I was getting deceived.
But I knew very well what my Spells were capable of and aligning with the fact upon how Austin have behaved until now and the girl he was watching on that blue stone which was literally known as 'Smartphone' in his last life, I was sure that all these memories of Austin were a complete truth.
It took me almost 12 hours to digest all the information I saw in those memories.
Getting to know that I actually was a fictional character drawn on pieces of paper in Austin's last life's reality, made me feel insecure about my privacy.
But I knew it was all my thinking. The theory of the multiverse wasn't proven but it was unheard of.
I memorized everything and concluded why Austin's behavior was like that even though he clearly was forcing himself. From that day onwards my slight interest in Austin turned into a complete attraction or to say I was on the verge to be called obsessed with him.
Knowing how hard his life have went until now and how lonely he was, the instinct of being his sole support ignited inside of me.
The reason I didn't kill the trash with the surname Sudou today, was because I knew Austin's villain system would collapse as soon I end the foolish hero, that's why I decided to stay hidden.
It was hard to believe something like System and reincarnation in reality but in the face of Austin, I could accept anything.
...
"So that's how is it. Until one month I have to pretend like a villain so I can save Saya, my sister, and get a normal life."
As I have seen he narrated everything perfectly except for the fact that he have seen this world in his previous life through a comic book.
Well, it wasn't that I could just confess now that I knew things he didn't tell me about, as it would make Austin wary of me, and also it would feel I was making fun of him by giving such reactions, so I held back my urge.
"This person Saya...was she close to you Austin?"
I knew the person from Austin's memory but how close they were was still not clear that's why I asked. Not like I was annoyed about her being dearest to him as that pitiful child was fighting death as we talk here now.
Yes, I was definitely not jealous of that little girl even Austin showed such a warm gaze when I asked about her.
I am definitely not...
"Saya huh. You can say that I was alive and moving forward in the last 20 years of my life was just because of her. Even though she was just a neighbor of mine she was close to me like a sister and always cared about my well-being. She always saved her pocket money to help with my necessities. She even saved her birthday cake and sneaked out a huge piece of it for me, so I can have such delicacy once every year. To say how much a person could grow close to someone, then for me and Saya we couldn't define. I think my love for her could not grow any more than it actually is."
Since childhood, I was a very calm and silent child who never got agitated even though someone was taunting me right to my face.
But hearing him, I feel all my past accumulated anger was wailing up and releasing out altogether.
I was constantly suppressing my mana so it doesn't go berserk and eventually hurt Austin while I heard his sweet words flowing out for his good sister.
Hmm..sister...?
'Yeah, she is just a sister and not even a person of this world ...why should I fear her? Fufufu...I was just worrying needlessly.'
"Um...Luna, are you okay?"
Suddenly being asked like that I fell out of my dark side as I nodded subconsciously.
"Y-yeah...I wasn't thinking anything insidious so continue."
I wiped the sweat off my forehead as I said my honest thoughts.
It seemed Austin went speechless for some reason as he started stuttering before he jerked all of a sudden as he asked me something which for a long time made me tongue-tied.
"That reminds me. I wanted to ask something for a very long that why Luna has had such a favorable impression of me to the point she forgave me even though I betrayed her? And how come, Luna was able to sneak inside my room like this even though she's just a Holy magic user? I wonder if Luna is also hiding something from me~"
