Chapter 5: My Sweet Girl
Night fell over the world, the only thing that prevented darkness from taking over everything was the faint light that the moon ''emitted''.
The children, now with full stomachs and freshly showered, were lying in the town square watching everyone else wandering around. In the distance a group of children were playing with what looked like a ball.
On the other hand, near the gate, Valentina, next to Rachel, watched from afar, inexplicably anxious. She was biting the inside of her lower lips. She only resorted to this bad habit when her nervousness exceeded the limit and it was the only way to calm it down.
-They're taking too long- he said -They should have arrived by now, what's going on?-.
-Mom- Rachell called- I know you're very anxious, but please try to calm down. They must have been late because of the load or because they're tired from the trip. Why don't we go to your house and I'll make you some tea to ease your anxiety-.
Valentina looked at her for a moment, she smiled anxiously doing her best to calm down -yes, I think you're right- they both turned around and started walking towards the Hope family's house until they finally heard the gate open.
The two of them looked at it very happily. The gate slowly opened and on the other side they could see all their loved ones. All of them with their heads down and a horrible aura of melancholy behind them.
Valentina and Rachel felt that something was seriously wrong. They looked through the crowd from left to right. Everyone was starting to enter, and eventually both of their eyes were fixed on the carts. Each and every one of them had a kind of sheet covering them from everyone's view. For a moment, both of them could see an extended arm sticking out from under one of the carts.
They felt like something was going to hit them, but Herman's arm was quickly covered. Neither of them was an idiot or clueless, and when they saw that, they knew they were dead people being transported.
Herman looked to the side as his beloved jumped up and hugged him. He noticed his husband's appearance. A blood-soaked bandage ran over his right eye, which he had lost. Large wounds appeared on his torso and arms, as if claws had caused the wound.
He turned his gaze to Valentina who was trembling.
-W-where is Alexander?- Valentina's body went completely cold, she was about to lose consciousness, Rachell quickly went to her rescue.
-He's safe- she said, finally able to speak and her voice only denoted extreme sadness -there he comes-. She pointed behind her, Alexander entered the place with his head down, a little further and possibly his own eyes would be swallowed by the earth.
Valentina ran towards him, quite desperate. For a short, but at the same time eternal moment, she thought that she had truly lost her life partner. She jumped onto his neck, hugging him. Little tears, now of happiness, ran down her face. "My love, I thought something happened to you. I'm glad you're okay!"
-No- he murmured with a broken voice, denoting regret and melancholy. His voice itself became sad -Valentina, we have lost many...-.
Slowly, she raised her gaze and finally looked into the eyes of her beloved wife. She saw Alexander's eyes, which were swollen, red and full of tears. On his cheeks, the trail of tears that had just dried was evident - t-they died - she was shaking, she felt weak, so so that no one could see her face she buried him between her beloved's breasts.
While this was happening.
From a distance the children could see that the gate had been opened.
-FINALLYYYYYYYY- shouted Mathias, bathed in happiness. He saw how everyone in the square started running towards the gate to greet the travelers.
"Let's go quickly," Christopher ordered. The others were so eager to see their loved ones that they obeyed without complaint.
As they got closer, they could recognize several of those who had gone on the trip, and Christopher was the only one able to notice something he didn't understand. The expressions on all of them conveyed a deep sadness. He could even see that many of these people were crying or had cried.
He didn't understand what that meant, but he could hear shouts of "happiness" coming from all directions and some murmurs.
-Mathias- called Mansot who was with his mother.
He was the only one left, as the others wanted to see their parents. He approached his father, noticing his condition. He was badly injured, and he tilted his head to see his tail. The tip of it had been cut off and was still bleeding. His tiger ear, the one on the left bow, seemed to have been torn off.
Mansot pulled his son towards him, hugging him tightly. It seemed as if he would never see him again.
Anita could see her father walking slowly, he seemed to be in pain. She left her friends and walked over to her father. "Daddy, come back..." Her father was badly hurt, his arm was hanging from bandages around his neck. The man squatted down, pulled his daughter towards him and hugged her. "I love you, daughter..." She felt as if a giant weight had come off her chest.
He smiled at her with some bitterness - I want to introduce you to someone... -
The children arrived at the place in front of the gate. Rachel, who was in tears, was hugging her husband.
-Damn... there he comes- I heard Herman complain, I looked behind him. Diana, Sebastian and Christopher were there.
-DAAAAAAAAD- they both shouted in joy when they saw their father.
-Ah, there they are- Christopher could see Alexander who seemed to be talking to Valentina. He hurried towards them, followed by Selestia.
-NO CHRISTOPHER, SELESTIA, WAIT!- Rachell screamed, but Herman stopped her.
- Honey - she shook her head. Now she looked at her beloved children, whose expressions suddenly changed to one of terror.
-DAD, YOUR EYES! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU? WHAT DID THEY DO TO YOU?- Sebastian was the most upset and desperately asked a thousand and one questions.
Tears of fear ran down Diana's face. "What happened to you?" she asked, very frightened. Herman hugged them both and carried them.
-Nothing my love, I've come home-.
Christopher, along with Selestia, rushed towards Valentina and Alexander. "DAD!" Christopher exclaimed, although the image left him perplexed. He had never seen his father like this. His face was buried between his mother's breasts and for some strange reason she was crying while hugging her father.
-Mom? Dad?- the little one called them.
"What's wrong with everyone?" Selestia asked, holding Christopher's arm. Only then did the little boy realize what he thought were shouts of joy and happiness were actually crying from everyone.
He saw many people crying and that scared the two little ones. He looked more closely at the others, all of them were shedding tears of pain.
-I don't see my parents- said Selestia looking from one place to another.
Christopher broke free from her grip and rushed to his father. “Dad? What’s going on?” Alexander could finally hear his son’s voice. He pulled away from his wife’s breasts. His face had at least two new scars. His torso had many deep cuts and was covered in blood.
Christopher rushed towards him, jumping into his arms. "DAD! WHAT HAPPENED? WHY ARE YOU SO HURT?"
Alexander didn't answer and just hugged his son as tightly as possible.
-Lady Valentina, where are my mom and dad?-.
Alexander lowered his head, hugging his son and Valentina with his eyes open and beginning to breathe with difficulty. It was impossible for him to turn around and look at the little girl.
Selestia was worried, she thought something was happening. She looked to the side towards a cart and sighed in relief when she saw that under the sheet her parents were apparently resting - Dad, I recognize those boots wherever they are. Are they asleep? Hey, answer me - she made a gesture of stretching the sheet that covered her parents - Did they bring me something? -.
-WAIT SELESTIA, DON'T LOOK AT THEM!- it was too late.
Selestia pulled the sheet quite hard, she wanted to play a joke on them and wake her parents up with a jump and scare them.
The sight of what was in front of him almost caused him to lose his sanity forever. "DAAAAAAAAAAAD MOOOOOOOOMMY ...
Their parents lay side by side. Broken, mutilated, butchered; these crude adjectives were the best way one could describe the state of the once kind and loving Elves.
Each of their limbs were separated from their bodies, as if something had pulled them off.
The sight is too horrible.
-NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO- she screamed again even louder with salty and bitter tears of despair bursting from her eyes.
Christopher looked at the scene with wide eyes, crying in disbelief. The scene would give him nightmares for at least a couple of days. The worst of all was that he understood perfectly well that Selestia's parents died in an extremely horrible and bloody way.
From a distance, Mathias, Anita, Sebastian and even little Diana could be seen shedding tears due to the serious news. Their parents took each of them to their respective homes to try to calm them down.
Selestia, broken in tears, hugged her father's loose leg, her gaze seemed to have lost her sanity. She tried to climb into the cart and move them. It was impossible. "PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE, DON'T ABANDON ME," her legs failed her and she fell to her knees, hitting her forehead hard on the cart. She didn't feel any pain.
Alexander hugged his son tightly, who was drowning his screams in Alexander's embrace.
Valentina was devastated by the scene and could not bear it any longer. With her eyes she made signs for all the carts to be taken to another place. They had to prepare the dead and bury them.
The cart began to move, and Selestia instantly looked up as her beloved parents walked away. "NO NO NO! DON'T TAKE THEM AWAY!" She tried to crawl and follow them, but Valentina stood in front of her.
She picked her up and hugged her with every ounce of strength she had. Selestia could see over Valentina's shoulder as the hearse carrying her deceased parents slowly moved away. She stretched out her arms in an attempt to catch them. "NOOOOO, DADDY, MOMMY! WAIT FOR ME!" The heartbreaking screams broke the hearts of those present.
-LADY VALENTINA PLEASE!- her scream was heartbreaking, Valentina felt as if the sharpest of all swords cut her heart -LET ME GO WITH THEM! LADY VALENTINA LET ME GO WITH THEM!- she screamed again causing Valentina's tears to be even more painful.
Little by little her screams turned into small spasms of breathing and silent crying, but thousands of times more painful compared to when she was screaming -p-please, l-let me go with them, I-I beg you...-.
She could no longer hold her arms forward, they fell limply and then she let her head fall on Valentina's collarbone. Selestia did not hug Valentina, she could not, she did not have a single ounce of strength. She did everything possible to barely raise them up to Valentina's breasts, squeezing her clothes with very little force.
Her eyes closed and squeezed tightly, there was no point, the tears still ran through them -ug, uck, uwaaaah, uuueeehhhhhhhhhhhh eeeh eeehhhhhh- it was the heartbreaking cry of someone who was always a sweet girl of only five years old suffering the loss of her beloved parents.
Valentina looked at Alexander. Realizing that her son had apparently fainted from the pain. Alexander nodded at her. She did the same with Selestia crying in her arms.
They wouldn't leave her alone.
They would never ever abandon her.
That night each of them slept with one of the little ones. Alexander in his son's room who continued to sob even in his dreams. Alexander was in the same boat, many of those who had traveled perished. He would never forget the faces of any of the fallen. Of his comrades and friends.
A large number of spirits were flying around the two of them, although it could be clearly seen that the spirits seemed to be completely listless. It was as if the little boy's mood was affecting them.
Meanwhile in Valentina's room.
-Uweeeeehhhhhh- Selestia was heartbroken, her eyes squeezed shut tightly. Tears running down the side of her small face.
Covered by white blankets as Valentina hugged her with all her strength, the little girl had her face buried in Valentina's large breasts. It was such a heartbreaking scene.
Valentina cried in complete silence, heavy tears running down her white face. In her mind, the image of her two friends presenting her newborn daughter tormented her even more.
-Look at Lady Valentina! She is our greatest treasure!-.
Selestia took a sigh and more tears fell down her cheek -mommyyyy, daddyyyy- she took a sigh between spasms -don't leave me alone- she tightened her grip on Valentina's clothes -please don't abandon me-.
Valentina felt like her soul had broken. The immense suffering of the girl caused her heart to explode into billions of pieces. She felt like shit, she didn't know how to comfort Selestia's suffering.
The little girl, between crying and murmuring, looked into her eyes.
Valentina couldn't believe what she was seeing. What had once been a beautiful, bright gaze had turned into dull, dim eyes, lacking the brightness that had characterized them so much, drowned by a deep darkness.
-P-please... Lady Valentina- his face fell again -let me go with my mommy and my daddy, let me go with them... I-I beg you-.
Valentina closed her eyes, clenched her teeth and hugged Selestia with all her strength, who in her terrible mental state was wishing to leave this world just to be by her parents' side.
-Why are you leaving me?- he buried his face again between Valentina's breasts, who was once again remembering her deceased friends, Selestia's parents, with whom she had shared so many times.
Little by little Selestia's crying was increasing, her small body did not stop shaking, accompanying the trembling with a new wave of bitter and salty tears of pain -UCK UWAAAAAAH UEEEHHHHHH- her open mouth with some saliva falling. Selestia felt like she lost everything, her world fell apart.
His parents, who were the suns that illuminated his path, disappeared. The road he now walked on was dark and extremely cold. Filled with nothing but pain.
He sighed - why are they leaving me? - he lost all his strength - I thought they loved me ueehhhh -
-I'm here my love, I won't leave you alone-.
Valentina felt her already broken heart shatter once again, the girl felt alone. At least she wanted her to know that it wasn't like that -my sweet girl- she said caressing the back of Selestia's head. She gave her a kiss on the forehead and then they were cheek to cheek -you won't be alone, you have us, we will never abandon you... I swear-.
...
Days passed and finally it became known what had happened. Everything was caused by an extremely powerful DAIMONAS. Fighting against this being, many lost their lives trying to eliminate it.
The DAIMONAS had taken many with him, destroying or devouring them.
A funeral was held for all the deceased.
Among them one of the two Elf brothers, TWO.
His brother ONE at the foot of the grave, crying with unbearable tears of pain.
A half-human cat and an Elf girl hugged each other in grief. They belonged to what was once called the “powerful trio.” Of the three, the human died in battle. Both were devastated, but the one who got the worst of it was the half-human.
Like many here, they shared a past of slavery. -MASTEEEEEER- she screamed, plunged in sadness and hopelessness -NOOOOO- her friend, the Elf, had to hold her because the Demi-Human intended to dig her up again.
-L-let me go... please...- her tears fell in greater quantities now that she was no longer screaming. She pressed her head with both hands, eyes closed and facing the ground -m-mistress, don't leave me... what will I do without you... -.
Many were friends, comrades, families, lovers!
Kathy looking at the grave of someone she considered her best friend, her boyfriend next to her holding her hand. The young man had managed to survive. Kathy couldn't find a way to thank all the Gods for her boyfriend coming back alive.
Alexander with his son at his side. Both of them standing in front of Selestia's parents' grave. Christopher covered his face, not wanting anyone to see his tears falling.
Alexander closed his eyes, kneeling down and speaking to them in a low voice -I will take care of Selestia- he murmured with a single tear falling from his right eye -I swear- he stood up again -so please, wherever you are now don't worry and rest in peace-.
The only people not present at the funeral were Selestia and Valentina. Although seven days had passed, Selestia had not been able to stop crying, she could hardly sleep, and Valentina was at her side at all times and at all hours.
The little girl was still devastated and bathed in tears. She wasn't even eating. Alexander and Christopher brought her a tray full of food and juice at breakfast, lunch and dinner times.
Selestia ate very little. She felt that hunger was attacking her, but even then she couldn't eat even an apple.
In her mind, the image of her parents being completely slaughtered attacked her again and again.
Slowly the door was opened from the outside. Valentina raised her head and Christopher was watching them from the half-open door. "I brought you lunch..." he said very quietly, Valentina made a gesture with her hand as if inviting him to come in.
He approached with the tray full of fruits and vegetables. He looked at his mother's side, noticing Selestia who was fast asleep. He approached his mother, placing his chin on her belly.
-Don't worry- she stroked her sad son's head- he'll soon recover and you'll be able to play together-.
Christopher reached out and caressed his dear friend's head, smiling weakly as he waited for the moment when they could play again.
She left the room, leaving them alone again. Valentina looked back at Selestia, gently shaking her. “Selestia, honey, wake up, it’s time for lunch.”
Selestia could barely open her red and swollen eyes, she looked at Valentina and instantly the tears threatened to flow again -...I'm not hungry- she said at once, but Valentina frowned in sadness.
-You have hardly eaten in seven days- I tried to give him some slices of apple and other fruits, but he didn't open his mouth- please, I only ask you to eat a little, at least a fruit-.
With difficulty and a pale face, she opened her mouth and ate the slice of apple. She timidly reached out to the tray, grabbing a few grapes. She timidly ate while resting her small head on Valentina's breasts, using them as pillows. Right now, she needed to feel the warmth of a person.
The woman stroked Selestia's pretty, but now rather untidy hair as she swallowed the grapes and shed silent tears. She reached out and wrapped her arm around Valentina's belly in a tender hug, sobbing softly.
-Here, eat a little more and drink some juice, it's delicious- Valentina placed a slice of carrot in front of the girl's mouth, this time Selestia didn't put up much resistance and without complaining she opened her mouth, eating the slice and then drank the juice.
It may have seemed like she was acting like a spoiled brat, but that was obviously not the case. The girl has a broken soul and Valentina was willing to do anything to ease her pain. She was not oblivious to Selestia's feelings of total admiration for her and therefore uses this to her advantage, trying to give her all the affection she could.
Pamper her, shower her with affection. Whatever it takes to make the girl once again emit that beautiful glow that so characterized her.
...
Even though everyone in the village was currently going through mourning, Anita couldn't help but be happy. Although she tried to hide it, it was impossible and it tormented her. She thought of herself as a bad girl for being happy and smiling while everyone else was crying.
It was lunch time and she just looked at the plate of hot food in front of her, she wasn't hungry so with her head down she stood up and went to her room. Throwing herself on the bed and covering herself from head to toe, she sobbed -I don't want them to think I'm bad...- she said to herself with a smile.
The door to his room opened, he heard someone enter and then it closed again. He heard footsteps as if someone was approaching him and he felt that someone had sat down next to him.
-Anita... you didn't eat any of the lunch I prepared for you- said that person with a somewhat melancholic voice and even biting her trembling lips -don't you like my food?-.
There was no response from Anita. The person bit her lips again. "Perhaps... don't you like that I'm living with you?" The voice was that of an adult woman, at least thirty years old, and the voice denoted sadness.
-It's not that- she finally deigned to answer her-it's just that- that woman could notice how even with her head covered Anita was bending her over-I-I'm a very naughty girl...-.
The woman tried to hug her, but she couldn't. She thought that maybe that would upset her.
-Why do you say that?- he asked. -To me you are a very sweet girl who helps her father in everything she can and studies a lot... you are an angel! Why do you think you are bad?-.
He could hear the little girl sobbing a little louder - it's just that... I can't help but be happy... -.
The woman did not understand what she was referring to. Anita uncovered her head, there the woman could see the swollen eyes of the sweet girl as the tears continued their course.
There Anita was able to see the woman she met exactly seven days ago, on the very day when many lost their loved ones.
The woman had chestnut hair, long to her waist and completely braided. She had tanned skin and brown eyes. She was shorter than her father, with a large bust and good hips. She was wearing tight pants and a black T-shirt. On her feet were feminine sandals. The clothes were courtesy of the town's seamstresses.
-And what's wrong with you being happy? - he looked into her eyes, almost shaking her by the shoulders - you are still a sweet little girl, you must be happy! You must never be sad-.
Anita looked down -but everyone in the town is suffering... and only I am happy, but I really can't help it...- she looked once again at Lilian, this woman's name, directly in the eyes, the river of tears only increased when Anita let out a smile full of melancholy.
-I'm a very bad girl! Many people died! My friend lost her dad and her mom... even so, I...- the little girl's lips curved in the opposite direction of a smile.
Lilian was shedding tears because she was in pain because she couldn't calm Anita's pain. "Please, honey, tell me what's wrong! I want to help you."
Her brow furrowed in sadness mixed with happiness. She took some air into her lungs because an enormous weight on her chest prevented her from breathing. "It's just that... it's just that..." she had to release everything she felt, her true feelings once and for all. "It's just that I... I'm so happy to have a new mom".
Lilian's eyes slowly opened, her ribcage widening as a tremendous amount of air entered her. She felt a real arrow pierce her heart. All this time she had thought that Anita didn't love her, she was so wrong!
Such a powerful impulse forced her to pull Anita towards her making the latter sit on her lap, Anita was surprised. -My sweet girl- tears flowed from Lilian, she gave her a kiss on the forehead and rested her cheek on Anita's, she felt immense happiness -My love, now I am your mommy! And I promise that I will make you happy, so do not cry because you are the best girl in the world-.
Lilian didn't understand it, she didn't know why, but now she felt that she loved the little girl with all her soul. She felt as if her world had acquired a brightness like never before. From one moment to the next, a love for the girl arose that easily rivaled what a mother with biological children could feel - it's okay that you're happy! It's okay that you laugh all you want.
Anita closed her eyes tightly, the obstruction she felt in her chest had disappeared. The weight of thinking she was a bad girl for being happy vanished as if it had never existed. She hugged the person who was now her mother -I-I love you, mom-.
From the other side of the door, the father watched the tender scene between mother and daughter, he didn't want to interrupt it. Both had mixed feelings, it would be very cruel of him to interrupt such a beautiful display of affection.
...
SIX MONTHS LATER.
In the early hours of the morning, Selestia opened her eyes, feeling the magical energy of the spirits who, as always, hovered around Christopher. Now, the two shared a room. Two beds can be seen, one next to the other, only separated by a nightstand.
The bed was the same one Selestia used in her previous home, when she still lived with her deceased parents, now she lived with the Hope family.
On the nightstand, the one next to Selestia, there was a photo of her parents hugging her and a small flowerpot with a pretty mosaic depicting a miniature forest. The room had the touch of an Elf girl.
A few pots with pretty flowers inside the room, placed near the window a pot with flowers that only bloom during full moon nights like it was now. Selestia loved this flower.
The spirits noticed that Selestia was watching them so a few of them went towards her flying around her - hello guys! - the greetings, the spirits understood her. They descended on her head and along her bed where they seemed to be playing.
His lips curved into a friendly smile.
She yawned, bringing her hand to her mouth, covering it. “I’m sorry guys, I’m really tired. Next time I’ll play with you.” She laid her head back on her pillow, turning to one side and closing her eyes. Meanwhile, the spirits continued to play.
The sun once again illuminated the world, chasing away the darkness of the night. The people of Gignit regained the joy that had always characterized them.
The deaths that occurred six months ago will remain forever in everyone's hearts, but they had to move on.
More people came to the village, begging the rulers to let them live there, both humans and demi-humans and even Beastmen. Almost instantly they fell in love with the village.
Finally a medical facility was opened.
A total of five dwarves, who arrived on the trip made six months ago, opened a smithy and from early hours they already began creating all kinds of weapons and armor.
Everyone was already starting their daily tasks.
The bakery had been reinvented with new recipes and a lot of other things. As usual, Anita took the customers' orders. Lilian was in charge of serving the customers and bringing their orders to the table.
-Daughter, do you remember what the order for table 4 was?- said Lilian adjusting her uniform. John got the idea from the uniforms in the stores in Nepal City.
-Mom- the little girl called with a sigh -did you forget again?- Lilian took her tongue out while lightly tapping herself on the head.
And what was going on inside the Hope house? Everyone was sitting at the table except for Valentina who was presenting the breakfast -for you- she said with a hiss and disdainfully -omelette with, uh, ham and bacon...-
A drop of sweat ran down Alexander and Christopher's foreheads.
-And for the beautiful and stunning Elf maidens who inhabit this humble abode... ta-daaa, sautéed vegetables and fruit, toasted bread with jam accompanied by a little honey-.
-Ooohhhh- Selestia celebrated.
More drops of sweat ran down the boys' heads. Selestia smiled happily, feeling much better. In addition, the joy and good vibes of the Hope family had completely infected her. She even joined Valentina in playing pranks on the boys.
- Time for breakfast! This is for my cute boy- Valentina placed the plate and some juice in front of Christopher giving him a kiss on the forehead.
-Thanks, mom-.
-This is for my dear and handsome husband- giving him a kiss on the head as well.
-Thank you very much my love-.
He went for Selestia -and this is for the little Elf maiden- he put the plate in front of her and also gave her a kiss on the forehead.
Selestia let her lips turn into a friendly grimace of pleasure. She looked at Valentina, the next thing she mentioned was something that had slipped out unintentionally and without realizing it. It was something that had sprouted from the depths of her heart. It was so natural that she didn't realize what had happened until after she finished the sentence.
-Thanks mom...-.
It was only after finishing the sentence that she realized what she had said -I-I'm so sorry Lady Valentina- she panicked, she didn't understand how she was able to say that to someone who is the Lady of Gignit. A real insult in her opinion.
Alexander and Valentina have been taking care of her, they gave her a place in their house and now she, as if she were so close to those two, called her that way. She thought how big a mistake she had made -I-I didn't want to tell her that-.
-YES YES YES YES YES!- Valentina shouted with euphoria and immense joy emanating from her being. She instantly picked her up and carried her hugging her as tightly as she could, spinning around a lot before speaking again -I've been waiting for this moment, you don't know how long I've waited for it- Valentina's eyes became glassy.
-What do you mean, Lady Valentina?- she was extremely confused.
-Selestia- she called her looking into her eyes -from today I want to be your mother...- Valentina smiled at her as Selestia's eyes became glassy -and I want you to be my beautiful daughter-.
-Hey?- her voice was still. She looked at Alexander who had called her.
-I swore that you would be part of the family- said Alexander smiling from ear to ear -and the time has come to make it official-..
-Hey?- that was all he could say.
Christopher smiled at her from the bottom of his soul - that makes us brothers... Little sister -.
- "I???" He breathed with some difficulty. - "I-I'm s-your d-daughter?" He looked at Valentina again as everyone nodded YES.
-B-but someone could get angry and...-
"Silly" her now brother called her.
-Who's going to be angry?- Alexander asked her, winking at her. -In fact, don't you think they might be happy that you have a family?-.
Tears began to flow from Selestia's eyes -Lady Vale....-.
-No, don't call me that anymore- Valentina complained, giving her a sweet look -you are Christopher's sister, Alexander's daughter and...- Selestia bit her lips, doing her best not to cry...my sweet girl, so please, call me mom-.
Selestia brought both hands to her mouth trying to cover it, her tears hitting the ground with great fragility.
-Never forget your family, and remember that now you have a new family that loves you- Valentina smiled at him.
Everyone in the dining room smiled at him.
-Uck, uehh- Selestia did her best to contain herself. The crying, the desire to cry was being held back somewhere inside her.
Valentina hugged her again, even more tightly - now, daughter, say it again and brighten your new mom's day -
Selestia smiled, showing her teeth in a clear sign of happiness, it seemed as if the place was brighter. The glow that always characterized Selestia had returned in its entirety and once again she could feel joy around her. She joined her forehead with her mother's, closing her eyes to enjoy the sensation to the fullest.
-Thanks, mom-.
...
-σκότωσέ τον, κάνε τον να νιώσει τον πόνο χειρότερο από την κόλαση...-.
-όπως θες, κύριέ μου ...-.
